Autumn our guide was great. Very friendly and enthusiastic. It was great to go on a hike off the main trails and through the forest. She took us to interesting spots we never would have found by ourselves. We were provided with head torches and crampons if we needed them. She even provided us with hot chocolate and biscuits as we looked at the stars! Thank you Autumn. I would also like to mention Amy from outfitters who was also super helpful and knowledgeable when we rented fat bikes a few days before.

My family really enjoyed this evening stargazing tour. Because there was little snow, we didn't snowshoe, but we were fitted with ice cleats as the trail was slippery. We were also given red head lamps to see in the dark but it still allowed our eyes to adjust to the darkness. Hiking through the forest in the dark was fun and when we got to a clearing we got a wonderful view of the stars in the night sky (fortunately it was a clear night). Our guide was very personable and knowledgeable. All members of my family enjoyed this tour, I very much recommend it.

Our second time doing the tour. So beautiful to see the wilderness after dark and see so many stars which are invisible in the city. Friendly guides who can point out constellations and teach along the way.

Although there wasn’t enough snow to snowshoe, we put on spikes and were led on a wilderness hike. Our guide Autumn was fantastic. She informed us on survival techniques and fire making. We would definitely recommend Kananaskis Outfitters for your next tour.

We had a great time even though the weather didn’t cooperate (not much snow and clouds). Turned out only my husband and I had signed up so we had a private tour! Learned about local trees & wildlife; had some cookies and hot chocolate & really enjoyed the hike. Will definitely come back again!

Amazing experience with amazing guidance. This was our first time in the mountains and we had such a lovely time. Apart from the great experience itself, our guide Chelsea gave us interesting information about the biodiversity and the history of the region. Highly recommended.

Michelle was awesome about getting us a guide last minute for a school hike. Our guide Sue was amazing! She was very knowledgable and did a great job infusing fun throughout the day.

Thanks to KO for providing our small group with a wonderful "Survival Skills" hike. Our guide Autumn was skilled, cheery, engaging, and communicative. She encouraged all members of our group to participate in the survival skills lessons, showed us the edible plants along the way, and encouraged us to try them. This would be a 5 rating, but I think the price per person was rather high considering the duration, content, and input costs of the event. Having said that I recognize this is a specialized event in a Provincial Park, so you take what is available.

This was a fantastic activity for our corporate team. We thoroughly enjoyed the views and the tour guide was phenomenal!

My wife and I hired a canoe for 48 hours from Kananaskis Outfitters for our wedding the following day. Would recommend hiring form here and would do so again - priced very faily and the hire includes all the gear needed to canoe, but also transport on top of vehicle.

My friend and I rented the SUP half day. The customer service and the equipment were perfect. I will advise that if you rent from this location you have to drive the equipment to a lake or pond. Parking is a little dicey at barrier lake.

We rented two mountain bikes for my wife and I. We also rented a bike seat for our two year old. A week or so before we were supposed to arrive we got an email informing us the bike seat for our son wouldn’t work. Apparently it’s more of a backpack vs a fixed seat to the bike like at other places we have rented. We were asked to rent a chariot instead. We also had a change of plans given the weather and asked if we could rent on Friday vs Thursday. The store was super accommodating On the Friday we showed up late to get the bikes. We were asked if we had bear spray and we said no. The shop attendant said it’s not a big deal even though she told us there were bear sightings on two places on the trail maps. We took a picture of the bike trails and set off on the village loop first. Then we wanted to go to Trolll Falls which meant going down Red Ribbon trail first. About 10 mins into our journey we saw a sole cyclist coming back. We joked that we needed to talk. Then about 20 mins into the journey we came face to face with an adult grizzly on its two hind legs. On the trail. Not far from us at all. I slammed on the brakes. My wife not being aware of what I was doing reacted too late and slammed on hers to avoid crashing into me. She went over her handlebars. All I could think was to get her to pull her up and get the bikes turned around as fast as possible. She was in shock as she’d landed on her head and complained of neck pain. She got onto her bike and we cycled away as fast as we could. When we got to the store we told the attendant what happened. She made it sound like it was no big deal and said people see bears all the time. They don’t really do anything. We have since looked up what’s supposed to happen and I’m pretty sure you’re supposed to contact the authorities. We also found out two days later my wife’s finger is broken. Thankfully nothing else. I’m so grateful nothing happened to us and the bear didn’t give chase or come at us. But I’m disappointed in how the store reacted.

My family and I had an absolute blast doing the Survival Hike with our guide, Autumn. We all learned so much about the plants and animals of the Kananaskis region and we even built a shelter together. This was the first time we ever did a private hike and it certainly won't be our last. Autumn was an absolute joy and she's so knowledgeable. She pointed out different plants and told us how these can be used in cooking or medicine. Brilliant! Couldn't be happier!

We enjoyed the hike and our guide was very knowledgeable. The views were awesome! I would recommend this hike if you are considering to book it.

Four of us adults rented e-bikes. Overall, we had a wonderful time biking from the Kananaskis Village to the golf course for lunch and even further for some sightseeing. The rental process was online and easy. Would recommend to double-check the battery power on the bike you’re renting. (We noticed one of ours was not fully charged.) We didn’t run out of power or have any issues but just a suggestion for others.
