Overview
This independent California pacific excursion is made possible by taking Amtrak Coast Starlight train from Anaheim or Los Angeles to Monterey, local three hour tour of Monterey Peninsula, spending a night there and then to San Jose / San Francisco in two days. Comfortable seating also can enjoy dinning on the train. Instead of flying with all the conditions this is a leisurely way to see parts of California rarely seen by visitors and even local people living in large cities.
