- olzhask0 contributionsthe price is not worth it+Pros: nice route Beautiful view on LA from the top Interesting to see where celebrities live. -Cons: Very old bus, interior is torn and dirty During selling tickets, they are promising to visits “Hollywood” inscription on the top, but in real it’s prohibited to drive to it on busses. Microphone and dynamics work bad. We could catch only half of driver told. Company gives you half discount from brochure price, representing like you are lucky and it’s only for you, but after visiting companies site, we saw that given price is usual for all clients. Conclusion: the price is not worth it!!!Written July 25, 2023

- Dogrescuer31810 contributionsDisgustedThe African American girl that works in the morning is the most uneducated person who causes a scene when she's sees dogs, mind you, my dogs never attack!!! But scaring them?. her banging and moving things around to make noise to keep them away is the wrong way to react to a dog. showing them Fear is absolutely wrong!! I'm quite disturbed with the way she reacts to my dogs, she doesn't need to scare them cause one of these days another dog is just gonna attack her by the way she reacts. She shouldn't be working on the boulevard in a dog friendly area. If that's the case, go work inside an office.. Then I called the manager, and he basically tells me to walk another way. Are you serious? Mind you she's yelling in the back and doesn't even control her by telling her to stop her attitude. yelling at a customer like that is unprofessional. Calling me a liar? I'm a dog person and all you dog people know that we love our animals. I definitely wil will not walk another way!!! And you young lady need to get an attitude check and a training w on how to respond to a dog!!! It really shows that uneducated people you hire and the trash you hire. The reviews are from people who are not from this town obviously!!!! I'm not the only one who has experienced this. Ive seen her do this to others w dogs!!!Written January 25, 2023
- Z2574XAkenc0 contributionsScammer H&N Gift Shop LLCThe person operates or driver is the worst person I mat in my life. So arrogant and fraud fellow. Travel agency might be good but this person I may in H&N Gift Shop LLC, who was driving the truck and introduced himself as an owner. Agency has to remove this type of agent. I would suggest to travelers, don’t book online or in advance. There are plenty of options available on the street and always availability, which gives you options and even saving your money. Believe me 🤷Written January 16, 2023

On 4/24/21 I did the Hollywood tour with Hollywood La Tour and it was amazing. The tour guide Lee was so much knowledgeable about the city and state, so he was able to answer any questions I had. The scenery was Awesome! He took us places and was able to explain where we was at all times and give so much I for about it. It was fun from start to finish. I highly recommend the tour with this company.

First time coming to Cali and we went to LA to look for a guide. We found this stand that’s advertising how much of a fun time we’ll have! Our chaffer’s name is Johnny and he was very talkative and interactive. He was very patient when we made a 15 minute stop to the Beverly Hills sign. Overall, it was worth the trip as we got to see so many mansions and views on top of the mountain! 10/10 👍

We booked a tour with Surf City, but they moved, changed the tour, and offered an option to continue the Hollywood Tour w/ them but we would have to leave Hollywood, go to Santa Monica and back to Hollywood, or go w/ a partnering company in Hollywood, which turned out to be Hollywood LA Tours that wasn't far from our hotel. The correspondence advised parking $10 all-day parking at 1637 Wilcox Ave, which does not exist. It was a construction site. We parked across the street, paying $20. The tour bus arrived late, maybe 15-20 min. I confirmed with the gentleman working in the store that we would visit today, and he confirmed the list of places posted and noted it on the brochure. Still, we did not go to all the sites listed, including Rodeo Dr, Capital Records, Dolby Theater, Chinese Theater, Capital Records, Chateau Marmont, Roosevelt Hotel, Route 66, or Hollywood Walk of Fame. We drove down Hollywood Blvd and Sunset Strip, but many of the high lights were not mentioned. When I inquired about Rodea Drive, the tour guide said it was shut down bc of filming and asked if no one told us. No one did, neither did he before taking us on tour.
I called Rodea Dr, and they said there was no filming and they were open. He LIED! I was furious. I called Hollywood LA Tour, reported it, and advised I was coming back to receive my tip back; and spoke with Paul with Surf City, and he offered a refund bc I called earlier w/ complaints about misinformation about parking, the tour being late, and now about not going to all the places advertised. UNACCEPTABLE! They did not deliver what they promised. I was FURIOUS and disappointed. Don't expect to see the Hollywood sign up-close. We drove through Hollywood, Beverly Hills, through the mountains, visited celebs homes, famous businesses listed, movie locations, but I thought we were going to Paramount Studios or Fox Studios too. Please do yourself a favor and use different search engines, read more reviews; there are more reasonable tours, better accommodations, and ones that will deliver 100% on what's advertised, I'm sure. Before booking, and upon arrival, ask the driver what sights you will see compared to what's advertised.

I wish I could demand a full refund for this because it was terrible. The bus broke down and we all had to stand on the side of road and wait for another bus to arrive and the tour guide acted like it was all a joke. The tour then went on for far longer than 2 hours as we meandered through Hollywood listening to boring made up stories about actors who died 30 years ago. The tour guide knew nothing about any current or relevant celebrities. I am aware that these are just for entertainment purposes, but I was not amused or entertained by this tour. There are a lot of these tours. Pick a different one.

Leaving a review with mixed feelings about this tour. Part of it was our own lack of research and so not everything described here is necessarily an issue with the tour company. I do think we should've picked a tour that was a little bit more on the price but gave us better pickup locations and better bus + more polished tour guide/driver.
We took this tour with kids and elderly parents. A big issue was the part of LA downtown that we were asked to park (Cahuenga Blvd) and take the bus from (hollywood blvd address). The area is quite shady full of tobacco shops, adult shops and possibly a strip club (we saw a half naked lady right outside parking). It was quite embarrassing for our family to even be in this area. This is where I think we could have researched more so definitely something on us.
As we were waiting for the tour bus at the hollywood blvd address, the section of street is quite filthy with a couple of homeless and every minute seemed like an hour with all ppl of our family having to wait amidst this obscene area.
Tour bus was quite average although I do think it matched what we paid for the tour. Bus was not the cleanest and tour guide was a little too chatty for us and kept cracking jokes that didn't always land and were quite tiring also. She did have the knowledge of the area and took us through Beverly Hills and other spots. We did enjoy that part of sightseeing.
Overall, I'd say you are better off paying a little bit more and finding another tour if you're looking for an elegant and polished experience with kids + elderly. For someone with lower expectations who doesn't mind the improprieties I described, this is a great tour.

Absolutely the worst utilization of $75 dollars I’ve ever made. The car was horrible and not safe. The driver/tour guide was non engaging and kept taking us to places that “used to be” and it was over all an experience that I would NEVER recommend for other to go on let alone pay for. Then to ask people for $10-25 in tip money per person was gutsy! I would seriously ask for my money back!

We were walking the walk of fame when my girlfriend noticed a stand for Hollywood tours. She inquired about it and the guy at the stand gave his sales pitch about how it would be about two hours, we would see the Hollywood sign, celebrity homes, rodeo drive etc.
She was excited as we wanted to see the Hollywood sign and celebrity homes and I was excited because I wanted to see the Hollywood sign. He offered us the child price of $45 each. Nice enough. She paid and we waited for the 2:30 tour.
We were the first ones on and tried sitting together but the seats were snug so we sat in different rows. Instead, the guy who sold us the tickets asked if we could sit at the right side where there are single seats. To be amenable we did. He also promised it would be a great place for photos. We learned that for our purposes this would be untrue.
The majority of landmarks (Hollywood bowl, and Hollywood sign etc) were all on the left. Additionally, when they were announced, people would constantly stand up, blocking the view of the people on the right. The driver did nothing to stop it.
Additionally, the driver said we would get a better view for photos of the Hollywood sign. I held onto this hope for the rest of the tour until to my dismay it never happened. While I understand there are rules dictating how close you can get, I figured there was a better photo angle the driver was going to get. However this never happened.
During the tour two of the passengers would take FaceTime calls. One more blatant than the other, and the driver did nothing to stop this behavior.
At the end while my girlfriend saw celebrity houses and I’m happy for her, all we saw when it comes to the Hollywood sign is butts. Not worth even the child’s price of $45 each.

For starters, the tour started very late. We booked for a 3 PM tour and when we arrived, we were told the tour would start between 3:00 - 3:15 PM. But it was even worse - the bus did not arrive until 3:30 PM. We were given very little information while we were waiting despite several inquiries. The bus had a different company name on it than what we booked, so that seemed a little odd too.
Once the bus arrived, we thought the tour would begin, but no, we made another stop to pick up people at a different location and sat there for about 10 minutes.
Totally unimpressed by the tour company, but giving it a 3-star rating solely because of the driver (I don’t remember her name). She did a decent job of pointing out various sites and sharing LA trivia.

Could not hear a word our guide said as his mic was very very quiet. 90% of the tour involved looking at gates with houses you couldn’t see behind. Didn’t see any of the tourist sights advertised on the tour.
