Please keep in mind that Los Angeles is a MASSIVE spread out city, so we have to limit tours to the starting locations provided. Therefore, there are many places outside of the area that we cannot start or end tours, which includes locations such as Downtown Los Angeles, LAX, Santa Monica, San Pedro, Long Beach and Anaheim.

Great communication from the start, timely pickup, comfortable and large vehicle (stocked with water). We saw the highlights of LA as well as lesser known areas, hearing interesting facts and Hollywood lore along the way. We were able to get a great shot of the Hollywood sign and Jim even made suggestions for lunch spots. My daughters said they wished we had another three hours with Jim. He was so knowledgeable and so funny, we felt like stars being driven around in a nice black SUV! We came all the way from Utah to see the city and for this tour and are beyond pleased! Also saw amazing views of LA from the hills! Was such a perfect day! Definitely recommended this tour company and ask for Dan! Well worth the money!!Written March 1, 2020

Enter.......Tod! Tod with Glitterati Tours was extremely easy to work with in setting this tour up and was also our driver. This handsome guy picked us up in a beautilful Lincoln Navigator on time and ready to roll. We had already discussed some of what we wanted to do and Tod seamlessly made it all happen while providing a wealth of information all along that only comes with having a guide native to LA and has experience working in TV and film there. Custom/personal tours are more expensive, but the experience is a different world compared to traditional tours and well worth the cost and time savings. So many great stories about some of the more famous land marks. Tour guides also go out of their way to give you some insight on the hidden gems of LA as well. Got us fantastic pics in front of the Hollywood and gave us a lot of history about the area! He also showed us celebrity homes and stories about some of the celebrities. - dmidean10 contributionsYou will be a Star and walk the Red Carpet with Glitterati!!!Strait from Virginia we came to see all we could in a day in the City of Angels and we got way more. With no schedule in mind, Paul picked us up at the Beverly Hills Marriott and instantly made us feel like Hollywood stars. Clean, spacious vehicle with food and beverage waiting for us as we set out for the day. Not only did we see the "main attractions" of L.A. we had the behind the scene history to go as well...example.."Hollywoodland". Angel wings, Petersen, conservatory, cemetery, Rodeo, "The Sign", whiskyagogo! And thats just the start. I will absolutely be back and call Glitterati again! The group had no real list, except for one residence. Dan sussed us out quickly and we were on our way. He knew his history, both old and new. We saw houses, mansions and neighborhoods of celebs we knew of and had heard of. The park up and short 50 metre walk to see the Hollywood sign was great. No crowds, just our group. Got some great photos. He dropped us off at the Chinese Theatre/Hard Rock Café as we asked. Right on time. A great finish 5 star service, informative, we saw a lot. Dan was full of local information and answered all our questions about life in LA (nosy Brits!) There was never a dull moment in the whole two hours and we were all so glad that we’d done the tour. When I booked the tour ( all very efficient), Lindsay recommended the Farmer’s Market for breakfast - and what a great recommendation that was too! Myself and my hubby Mark were picked up from our hotel in Beverly Hills by Paul our guide. I’m going to keep this review short otherwise it might turn into an essay😛Paul is brilliant. Everything about the transport and tour is just amazing. It may cost a bit more but you get what you pay for. They cater for any special requests. If you are ever in LA don’t use anyone else.

Short or long, we appreciate any guest that leaves these invaluable reviews here on websites like TripAdvisor and Viator. We're always delighted to have guests (sometimes halfway around the world) put their trust into Glitterati Tours for their private L.A. sightseeing excursions. We may cost a bit more than the many group tour companies operating in the city, but it's reviews like yours that prove the potential extra cost is worth every cent...especially for those visitors that want to get the most out of a city the size of ours in a limited amount of time. Being able to customize a tour is our speciality!

We had a 2.5 hour tour with Tod, which focused on celebrity homes in Hollywood, Beverly Hills and the Holmby Hills. This tour was chosen as a surprise 60th Birthday present for one of our party, who had expressed an interest in celebrity homes in Beverly Hills.
Communication with Jimmy, who is the head of Glitterati tours, was excellent from the beginning. We discussed with him potential ideas and the kind of tour that we wanted. We told Jimmy that the birthday guest liked films of the 'golden age', and actors like Bette Davis and Jimmy Stewart. So we arrived at a kind of 'golden age' themed tour of Hollywood and Beverly Hills homes. We also requested Tod to be our guide as he seemed best-suited to providing this kind of tour. Jimmy was very helpful in all of these aspects, and provided us with detailed information about where to meet our tour guide.
We were met and picked up by Tod at the location at the exact time we had agreed on. Tod was very friendly and gave us a brief overview of the kind of tour we were doing. Our birthday guest sat in the front of the car so she could ask Tod questions. The car had lots of water bottles and snacks so no need to bring these. We then headed up to the Hollywood Hills, with information given of the places before. At the Hollywood Hills, Tod drove us around a variety of celebrity homes, with information and history and other generally interesting stuff told to us. We then headed to Greystone Mansion, which was very interesting and exciting, as we never knew it had been used for so many films. We then headed to Beverly Hills and was given a tour around various other homes of interest. It's a crazy place - with Tod telling us that modest homes means $5 to $15 million. Tod then drove us back along the Sunset strip and towards our parting destination.
We found the tour very enjoyable and Tod was an excellent guide. He did not overload us with information as some tour guides can, but gave us enough as to provide a good picture of the areas and places visited. Initially I was sceptical of the idea of using iPads to show us the inside of the homes, but it actually works very well. Tod was also very helpful in giving us information and tips for visiting other places in LA. In fact, he told us the best route to reach the Hollywood Sign. We then visited the next day using Tod's instructions and saw Tod taking another party around!
If we had one quibble it would be this. Although we found the tour very enjoyable and interesting, we would have liked the tour to focus a little bit more on the themes and people that we had suggested, as it felt like the tour wasn't as focused on the 'golden age' actors that the birthday guest would have liked. However, it was still very fun seeing all of the houses, regardless of the history, or who live or were associated with them. You just cannot believe some of the houses! You look at the houses with a mixture of awe and disgust. Awe at the size, and disgust at the greed, considering the extent of poverty and deprivation in large swathes of LA.
Overall, I would recommend the tour wholeheartedly. Despite the considerable price, the tour really was excellent - the kind of tour that all tours should be.
PS - A special thanks to Tod for giving an excellent tour, and answering our questions. It was also very interesting hearing his anecdotes about working as an actor.

We take into account every aspect of our guest's commendations, expectations, suggestions, and recommendations. We are so happy you enjoyed your customized tour of the celebrity homes tour of Hollywood and Beverly Hills. We specialize in themes, and our Golden Age tour is certainly one that is the most popular, because it really focuses on the incredible history that helped build our city. I apologize that we fell a bit short on this emphasis. As a guide myself, I know that we can get so excited in showcasing every street, that sometimes we may bring up a "Simon Cowell" or a "Taylor Swift," when we really should be focusing on a Rosemary Clooney or Marilyn Monroe. Every corner in Beverly Hills has a dozen different stories to tell. Excellent tour! Jim was an amazing tour guide, he provided us with a lot of insider information and brought us very close to the hollywood sign as well as the celebrity homes. Definitely worth it!

Our first tour was in mid 2014, Beverly Hills was a buzzz over the Casey Kasem estate settlement, which our driver Tod & Chris informed us was really granted to billionaire heir Towery "Tyree" M Burris-Hunt 🚫 not Jean Kasem. We toured Kasems Mapleton Dr homes and was treated to learn Tyree own 10979 Chalon Rd leased by celebrity Dan Bilzerian and 924 Bel Air Rd mansions listed on our tour. Our driver had inside information on upcoming events in the area and offered to drive us. As VIP clients we met jeweler Peter Marco who was hosting a meet & greet. While Pagani was hosting it's Beverly Hills launch at 924 Bel Aire Rd. Showcasing Tyree Burris-Hunt Pagani collection. It was eventful, we felt safe and in great hands 👍👍

We thoroughly enjoyed our private tour with Tod as our guide! Tod arrived on time and what a treat to have water and snacks waiting for us in his pristine car. He was a wealth of information and showed us some amazing homes. He also gave us some history of the area and pointed out some "hot spots" for us to visit on our next trip to LA. Tod took us to a wonderful vantage point to get fabulous pictures of the Hollywood sign! I highly recommend Glitterati Tours!

My group is of 5 but some are as young as 12. Will the celebrity homes all be of people she wont know? In other words is it an updated celebrity list of homes that include actors or you tubers?

Hi Glitterati Tours,
I am visiting Hollywood (The Garland) in August with my wife and 11 year old boy and 8 year old girl.
We are looking for a tour that covers celeb homes such as Miley Cyrus, Dwayne Johnson, and Simon Cowell etc (people the kids know basically). The Hollywood sign and famous/historical sites would also be good to visit.
