A wonderful experience to let your imagination run wild! We booked on the day of, and had like a half an hour wait, so wandered around the shops, soaked up the sun and enjoyed seeing the Hollywood sign from Hollywood and Highland!

As you approach the theatre, there’s a little red carpet, which I thought was really cool! It was only us, and another couple, so it was a nice, intimate experience, with a very knowledgeable young man, who took us around.

You walk through the lobby, which has a Busby Berkeley-inspired stairwell. Then are taken into the VIP bar area - you even see an Oscar on display in there! Heading on into the theatre itself is so awesome! It’s amazing how much smaller it feels in real life - oh the magic of television.

We got to go on stage, then backstage, and along a corridor that displayed pictures of past Academy Award Winners, then headed into a box to get a different view of the auditorium.

I absolutely loved our visit and would thoroughly recommend it!

The Dolby Theatre tour was disappointing, and not worth the $25 (plus tax) charged per person. This tour involves little more than allowing you into the theatre to look at it and take some pictures (and by the way, the theatre is less impressive in person than on TV- carpets need replacement, etc). We were also disappointed in our tour guide, who was not into the tour and just wanted to get it over with, and seemed annoyed with any questions (we went to the 10:30 AM tour on Thursday). In fact due to the rush it took even less time than the advertised 30 minutes.

Tours are timed entry so make sure you are there at least 15-20 minutes before tour time. The tour itself was pretty short (30-40 minutes) but the guide was very good and provided some great history and details of the the theatre. Was very cool getting to walk onto the stage and look out over the seats and balconies.

Dolby theater is famous for the academy awards. And it is also a theater choice for Broadway Hollywood You can enter on the first or second floor. It is clean. Well laid out. Great seating from anywhere in the theater. Has history and glitz. Recommend parking across the street at the Rosevelt

Great tour which lasted about 35-40 minutes. Was able to walk around the lobby, sit in the theater, go back stage and stand on stage. For anyone interested in the Academy Awards, this is a must. Very informative and small tour, there were about 10 people on our tour. If you are on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, definitely worth a tour here!

Wow. The tour is phenomenal. We got to go on the stage and see what it’s like from perspective of accepting an Oscar, so darn fun!!!! The perspective of seeing. The backstage, “green room” and the pathway of the stars from Hollywood blvd up the red carpet, and through and into the stage. Then the journey from seats to acceptance, behind the stage to the freight elevator, to the press room. Wonderful images and captures from proper award winners and nominees.

The 30 minute tour was worth the money at least for us. We got to be on the stage and a photo was taken of us while we were there. We also got to sit on the benches beside the "starts" (cardboard pictures anyway) and got the tour of the backstage areas, elevator, balconies etc. We heard the history and some interesting anecdotes. The tour was all we were hoping for.

The feeling was just awesome if you're someone who watches AGT and Oscars Awards. Being able to experience what they do (although in a less glamorous state) is still an experience to remember.

This review is being written after experiencing a musical performance as part of the 'Broadway in Hollywood' series. I've been to the Dolby many times for events like the Oscars and the opening of the resident Cirque du Soleil from a few years ago - however, this was the first time I attended a musical production (My Fair Lady). I wasn't sure what to expect as the Pantages can be hit or miss depending on the crowd in the audience. I love the fact that they allow all concessions to be brought into the theater - which is a very comfortable and well-suited space for musicals. The sound system was perfect and the viewing vantage points seem to be good from most seats. The bars located in the lobby levels offered a wide array of cocktails and some boxes of to-go for items and snacks and candy. Pricing was OK (ie $18 for a charcuterie plate and soda at $5 in a large cup - however its so nice to be able to bring it into the seating area. Easy in and easy out although concession lines do get long at the prime arrival times and of course intermission - get in line fast otherwise you'll still be ordering after the curtain raises. The staff was accommodating and helpful. Be sure to arrive a bit early in order to navigate the massive tourist population at Hollywood & Highland. Plenty of places to eat (dining in or take out) at the mall itself with lots of variety - however, be sure to make reservations or arrive early enough. This was the first time I took the metro (subway train) so I could park with greater ease in North Hollywood and then be transported to the lower level of the mall complex...and I'd highly recommend it for the future as traffic in and out of the area (especially on Hollywood Bowl performance nights) can be an absolute nightmare and add hours to your travel.

We didn't even get off the ground with this one. I booked through Trip Advisor but the wrong tour was sent to me and try as I may to find someone to sort it out for me those attempts failed miserably. No help line; no phone number; no customer service. I managed to cancel the tour and a refund was effected. I was bitterly disappointed of missing out on the Dolby Theater Admission tour as this was one of the 'must do' tours I was looking forward to. Unfortunately, tours were not available over the weekend.
