I had a great time with Paul and a family from Germany. We walked around downtown, learned about architecture, discovered nice places, learned about history, the beginning of the city and its development, the issues it is facing nowadays and the perspectives it has for the future. Very entertaining guide who transmits positive vibes and enjoys what he does. Highly recommended tour. The ending at Great Central Market is just delicious. If you are not used to melting sun, get yourself an umbrella and you will be alright.

We had Ester. She was full of spirit and moved right along. We were her only customers. She had modest info and got the rest we asked on line as we walked. She took us to all the right places.
We came by train and ended up at Union Station so was perfect for us.

First of all, we did not leave on time as we had to wait for another group, but this was not even the problem. Also, we did not stop at the Grand Central Market as we just passed by, which was kinda disappointing, but which was no biggie. Our guide was Maria who was sweet, but it ends there. Right away we realized that she was inexperienced. She did not bring any flair that a native Angeleno would bring especially because we believe she has only lived in the Los Angeles for a short period of time. She had no confidence with her information, so we are not sure the info given was accurate or correct so we took nothing from that. All in all, a waste of a Sunday afternoon. However, this was not the worse tour we had ever been on, but it was probably a close second. It was straining to hear and understand so attention span was short. I asked my mom "did you not hear what she said about that?" She said "no, as I stopped really listening."

I am so sorry to hear you did not enjoy the tour. Your review is disappointing considering the other guests gave her a 5 star review! I looked into this and it appears the others showed up at 1:03 PM. We do our best to make sure everyone is together at start of tour and feel it unfair for you to dock our rating because of 3 minutes. I would like to try and remedy your experience - contact us directly and ask for Dara and hopefully we can work something out. I hope to hear from you!

We booked LATour1 for a Monday Downtown LA walking tour. Maybe the fact that we booked on an Australian dated computer, but when we turned up, no one was there. We only had Monday to tour, so we called LA Tour1. They were very sympathetic and even though it was Labour Day a guide called Chris arrived an hour later. He was bright, interesting and fun. We had a great tour with him and highly recommend doing it. Highlights included crazy old bookstore, Frank Gehry's concert hall, the Bradbury building, the Broad and Union Station. Thanks Chris and LA Tour1.
