fun introduction to the Venice neighborhood of Los Angeles
I did the tour with Robbie. We had a great time! Robbie was laid back and friendly. He paced the tour appropriately with informative facts, while allowing for quiet moments, so that we could soak up the experience and take in the environment around us. The food picks were excellent and diverse, reminding me that you can find great food just about anywhere in LA. He also was helpful at suggesting some activities and other restaurant recommendations at the conclusion of the tour. Recommended!

Fun, flavor filled and colorful food tour in Venice Beach
I took my sister on the Venice Beach food tour for her birthday. Loved the food, fun facts about Venice Beach, things I never knew even though I grew up in LA. Loved seeing the art and walking through places in Venice I have never been. Our tour guide Robbie was great.

You could do it on your own
The food we tasted was good, pastry, Thai food, pasta, grilled cheese sandwich, and donuts. Each place our guide dimply sat us, got the food and we basically cleaned up ourselves. I had to ho buy a water, cause even I asked for some, our guide told me that there was some to purchase... not provided... not good when you are tasting different foods.

    Amazing private tour in DTLA
I gifted a private tour to my family for Christmas, and we had a fantastic time! Robbie was our host, and he was engaging and informative—we weren’t expecting to learn so much about the history of LA, which was a fun bonus. And the food was of course delicious! 10/10 to Robbie and all of the restaurants

    Definitely worth doing
The food tour was really good! Went to some kick ass places and got to try very delicious food. It was hot, so our tour guide Robbie did a good job of making sure we were in the shade and had plenty of water.

West LA Food Tour Take 2
I had the opportunity to bring some family visiting to a private West LA Food Tour with Robby. It was I took a private tour with family last year and decided to bring some guests visiting on the same tour I took last year. This private tour was consistent with regard to the structure and was great this time as well! I had the same tour guide, Robby, who did a great job as expected. He is very well versed on the history of the area which makes it fun for history buffs and he is also laid back enough to relax and allow the group to engage so that it feels like a curated family experience. Will definitely be back with future guests and try the Venice tour!

Showcases the west side's best restaurants and destinations
As a Los Angeles local and food enthusiast I was super impressed with this experience. The tour is engaging in the history of venice and showcases some of the best food in the area I did not know about. The pace of the tour and the destinations flows together great and Robbie was an awesome tour guide with lots of additional knowledge and recommendations.

    An unforgettable magical experience
Wow! What an incredible tour. I honestly couldn't imagine a better few hours in LA. Our hilarious and very knowledgeable tour guide Robbie made the whole experience seamless. It was like hanging out with a cool local who knew all the best spots in the neighborhood. The whole experience was planned so well starting off with delicious pastries and coffee on a dreamy garden patio, where we got a really funny and interesting history lesson about Venice. Then walked through the world famous streets of Venice in the glorious sunshine before sitting down for lunch at the very chic Butchers Daughter. Amazing people watching, very yummy food, beautiful surroundings this was really the fabulous crescendo of an unforgettable day. We then explored Abbott Kinney and Robbie had some more delicious tricks up his sleeve! Don't want to give everything away! We then headed to the beach and gazed out at the sparking Pacific Ocean as we watched all the skateboarders, street performers and other colorful local characters. Even though I was starting to feel full from all the amazing food, I made room for some absolutely knock out tacos by the beach and some of the best gelato I've ever tried at our final two spots. Do yourself a favor and book this tour! It was the highlight of my whole time in LA, an unforgettable magical experience.

This tour is a MUST for visitors and residents of Venice alike - 5/5 STARS!!!
I learned SO much about Venice on this very special tour with our wonderful guide, Robbie! Each of the 5 stops brought something special to the tour and the selection of dishes at each stop was top-notch. I especially loved how Robbie implemented historical context into each stop - providing us with so much interesting information about history, culture and architecture. Again, this tour is a MUST for anyone who finds themselves in Venice!!

Chris was a fantastic and very knowledgeable guide. My sister was visiting Los Angeles from Florida and two friends who had recently done the tour raved about it so we booked it.

Not only did we enjoy the variety of foods offered, we were treated to a terrific history lesson about downtown. Although I have lived in West Los Angeles for over 40 years, I learned things about the development of downtown and the early architecture and movie palaces.

We dined on a fantastic almond croissant, barbequed beef brisket, a heavenly grilled chees sandwich, tacos, potstickers and finished with blue ice cream.

I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting LA, or to Angelinos who rarely get downtown, too.

Went on this tour with a group of friends and Derek was out tour guide.

What an amazing afternoon full of good food and a fun atmosphere. Derek was super accommodating as our group had a peanut allergy, a shellfish allergy, and a vegetarian in the mix. The tour does has a bit of walking involved, so make sure you wear walkable shoes. Derek took time not only to explain the food but also the history of DTLA, architecture, street art, and cultural events.

The food stops on the tour were amazing. There was 7 places total with a range of food from pastries, pizza, tacos, Mediterranean, and BBQ. Not only was the food amazing, but the areas were full of other amazing eats that you could come back and explore. I would HIGHLY recommend this as a must do for any LA trip.

First off, our tour guide was great. Thanks for being so hospitable and informative Chris. We definitely felt like we spent way too much money on this experience for what we received; almost $400 for just the experience (tip for Chris was deserved because he was great) and the food portions were small. We had read reviews talking about how stuffed people were and all of us agreed it wasn't the equivalent of food we thought we would get for the kind of money we paid. This was also not a 3 hour tour as advertised. It was over in 2. Knowing what we know now, we probably would have found these spots on our own, grabbed different things to try, and saved over $200. We enjoyed Chris though.

A great way to see the city and have the history shared in a way where you can fully appreciate it as you encounter all the buildings and landmarks as you walk. The food was exemplary. Easy way to get wonderful eats (and a great variety) without having to do my own research! Thank you Robbie for your excellent

This food tour was pretty great! The guide, Scarlett, walked us around downtown LA from restaurant to restaurant while peppering the walk with historical and architectural insight. While we got ourselves situated at each place (seats and drinks), she would order the food ahead and bring it to us. Super easy and the food was really, really good! Went with friends who were local and they loved it too.

The DTLA sidewalk food tour was amazing! Chris was a wonderful tour guide- he had so much niche knowledge about the most unexpected things around the city and did a phenomenal job delivering history about all the spots we visited! Every stop we visited was absolutely delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite we had. Chris also recommended other places to get drinks at each stop- my teenager was thoroughly pleased with the boba he recommended next to the stop where we got to try some fantastic gyoza. Altogether a lovely experience, we’d do it all over again if we could!

We’ve done walking tours before but not food tours. Chris was an excellent guide; very knowledgeable on the history of downtown, knew a lot about the restaurants where we stopped, and all the food was delicious. The tour was fast paced but we are older and had no problem
keeping up. I would highly recommend if you like food, you like learning interesting things about where you are visiting, and you like to walk. We had a great time.

The foodie tour was outstanding. Robbie B was spectacular in every way. His knowledge of downtown LA was excellent, the choice of restaurants was excellent a perfect culinary experience. It had to be challenging explaining the venues and other local facts with the noise of the big city and keeping his guests together. He was great.

Chris was very informative and had a lovely friendly manor. Our son with autism really took to him and we all enjoyed trying all the local culinary delights suggested by him. Through him we were able to get a real flavor of how Downtown has evolved in time and become the city it is today.
