Total waste of your time and money
Universal studio is total BS! I can’t even write in words how dissapointed i was. I was expecting live experience shows of filming movie, rides and other fun stuff. They only have simulators that you almost throw up after ride. Only positive thing was Jurrasic park ride. It is overrated, overpriced!! 2 tickets were 280usd, i would rather give money to homeles people than to visit them again. Total weist of your money and time. We were there for 3 hours and the best moment was when we left. Oh, food…disaster!

    4th and last time
Booked tickets for Universal studios, which in the past I have enjoyed immensely. It was my 4th time. What I found was that Universal studios were undertaking some renovations, which made the place very crowded and cramped. The line up and the wait time for the train ride was extremely long. Some of the themes had not changed since 2000 and seemed old and stale. Lining up for rides was far too long and we gave them a miss. Honestly if you've never been, give it a go it can be amazing. Places to eat were somewhat scarce and if you found them, very crowded with long waits. For me it was too crowded, seemed cramped, and not an enjoyable experience as in the past.

Great for a family with kids aged 7 plus
So much fun, very clean and just a great experience for our family. Customer service was great and the Harry Potter expereince in particular was amazing.

Must do at least once but getting expensive.
Third time Universal Studios roughly a decade between visits. Last time for me. Getting very expensive. Still a must do with your kids if you find yourself in LA. Express passes are the only way to get it done in one day as long waits for ride otherwise. Would not there is now a level above express (VIP) and one ride (Nintedo World) was excleuded from the express pass, so the product is now devalued from what it was.

    Tons of fun
Halloween Horror Nights was scary fun but definitely have to wait in some long lines. Mario Kart ride was so cool. Best ride has to be the Harry Potter Ride.

    What a great experience!
Our advice is to go as soon as the doors open. You can download the APP (check the daily opening hours) so you don’t have to wait too long. It started to rain around 10 am this time, and you may have to wait for 3 hours for the bus in the afternoon!!

Wonderful Family Trip at Universal Studios Hollywood.
It's advisable to purchase early access to Mario Park. However, even on Saturdays, there aren't too many people, and the wait for each ride is around 20-30 minutes.

    Awesome!
Definitely worth visiting! Wish they had more rides/rollercoasters but generally had a great time. Looking forward to the Fast & Furious ride. Could not recommend the Studio Tour enough. It was awesome

    Very Cool Day.
Early entry to Nintendo World isn't really worth it. There's literally only one attraction you can do if you choose not to buy the power bands. Rest of the park can be done in 1 day anyway. Backlot tour is extraordinary and worth doing more than once.

    Amusing
One of the top attractions in Los Angeles is that thrilling park, but the admission tickets and parking tickets are relatively expensive.

    Fun for all the family.
Universal Studios is as good as I remember it as a child! Lots of rides, restaurants, shops and things to do for all ages. Prices for things are quite high. I thoroughly recommend the tour of the studios which is included in a your ticket. I do think they need to update the video that is on board though ;)

    Good, not great.
The park is really small. We had express passes and were there just under 4 hours. 2 adults, no kids. Went on 90% of the rides, skipped the over priced shopping and dining. We enjoyed most of the rides but the cost was much more than what it was worth. Really, it's a VERY small park.

    A good day
This place is not just an amusement park, it's a rib-tickling extravaganza! From the moment you step foot inside, you'll be transported into a world of hilarious movie sets, cheeky characters, and stomach-clenching comedy shows. As you stroll around, keep an eye out for the mischievous staff members who are experts at playing innocent pranks on unsuspecting visitors. Be prepared to be the butt of a harmless joke or two - embrace it, as it adds to the overall bellyaching experience!

    Very average
We had been looking forward to Universal Studios for quite some time but it went nowhere near living up to expectations. Most of the rides are basically just near vomit-inducing simulations with little to no thrill or enjoyment. The only exception is the Jurassic Park ride that is quite good. There isn't actually much to the place behind the elaborate sets. We found ourselves walking around very early on saying that we'd done pretty much everything. From the very poor studio tour to the below average rides and experiences I wouldn't waste my time or money again unless things changed drastically.

Our family visited the day after Christmas, probably the busiest day of the year. With only 1 day to visit, we smashed open the piggy bank & splurged on the VIP Experience Tour. After a semi private continental breakfast, we were greeted by our private tour guide Tim. He took us places throughout the park without having to wait in any lines. Additionally, we went to places not part of the standard, back lot tour, such as, walking through the wreckage area of the 747 used in the "War of the Worlds" movie. We were able to walk through several sound stages and a huge warehouse containing any & every prop imagined.

After a semi private buffet lunch, which was awesome, we continued our tour throughout the park. By the end of the day, we were exhausted, but we all agreed one of the best days ever!!! It was expensive, but well worth it.

About 6 hour-long guided tour including rides and real food lunch, worthwhile and fun, every minute and every cent.
The good thing is we got special access to popular rides, including those in Harry Potter Wizarding World, PET the newest ride.
This is different from express line because our guide brought us right directly to the ride and passed the express line.
The weather while we were visiting was hot and we really appreciated that we dont have to be in a long line otherwise we probably could only do a few rides on our visit due to dehydration and time limitation. Our guide, Roxy were very helpful. Plus, we had plenty of time for lunch, included, with real food, like international buffet in a hotel.

We, a family of 2 adults, 16 and 8 year-old-kids, with limited time in Los Angeles area, about 4 days and we only wanted to spend a day at Universal Studios, so this was the best investment for the best day for our kids.

Well worth it, straight front of the queue, parties of 12 so not too overcrowded when tour guide is taking.

We had Michelle and she was brilliant, very well knowledgeable and funny.

VIP includes breakfast and lunch - wide selection on both, something for everyone as it was a buffet.

The studio tour, really nice and personal, you join another group so max 24 of you, on a mini bus - no windows and air conditioned, the talk throughout was personal and not pre recorded. You got off a few places and up close and personal go for photos and some history facts.

Bounus they even have a dedicated UBER drop off and pick up (the others use the same), there are 2 spots, very easy.

If you can afford afford it and want a once in a lifetime experience you should do it! No lines and great food. Picture leisurely walking around the park, getting to do almost all the rides (we did all we wanted to do because we are not into the big roller coasters) and feeling relaxed! Truly relaxed at a theme park! It takes the work out of "what ride next" and "hurry to the next ride."

ANDREW deserves a leadership role at Universal. If you are from Universal and reading this, give that man a raise and a promotion. He treats customers with kindness and truly ensures each person has an amazing experience. You can see he loves doing what he does and really cares about those on his tour. He needs to teach his leadership abilities to everyone. It doesn't get more perfect from a customer experience than what Andrew provided. Seriously, promote that man!

If you are here for a short stay, the VIP tour is worth it. Ursula was our host and was truly attentive and responsive. We saved so much time getting around and she explained every ride so we could decide if each family member wanted to go. She held bags when needed and answered questions.

The Studio tour was so much more interactive with us having a bus to our group and one other. The tour is a ride in itself with several 3D and interactive experiences. We got to get off and experience some of the outdoor sets. They offered plenty of cold water and it was a very hot day.

The breakfast continental breakfast was plentiful. The lunch had a great variety of high quality items. We have a food allergy and the chef was helpful in letting us know what to avoid. My picky eater even enjoyed a full meal which was a big worry of mine.

The only warning for travelers is that this property has a limited number of rides. We did all of them on the tour which lasted from 10-4 ish with an hour for lunch, the Waterworld show (very exciting) and the studio tour. If you know the park, then Express passes should suffice. But the VIP pass means you can go on each ride as many times as you want. It was spring break when we went and we didn’t know the park so VIP was our best option.

After reading all the reviews I was so disappointed with our experience. First of all I had checked the box requesting a call to discuss any limitations or issues before the day of the trip but didn’t receive a call so that was issue number one.

While the backlot extras which accounted for about an hour of all we did were nice For the rest of the time we had a glorified map reader and a express pass expediter. We were herded around the park from place to place and shoved on rides. I can do that myself. There were no character interactions. We had to ask to stop to look at ride photos. We didn’t stop long enough for so anyone could look or take personal photos. The whole point of vip is to get something you can’t on your own which was not how I felt. I expected a little more than feeling like I was on a 8th grade field trip. Yes we got a lot done in the park but again a regular express pass would have been a much cheaper route and achieved the same goal and I could have stopped and looked at the cool stuff in between.

We upgraded to VIP as a treat for our sons birthdays (12 and 21). It was worth every penny. We were booked on our 6 hour tour from 11am but arrived at the park at 9.30. We made use of our lightning pass (included with the VIP price) and went on the HP ride and then went and had breakfast in a beautiful room in the VIP area. Lovely croissants, fruit, pastries and juice.
We met our guide Tyler who was absolutely amazing! He was full of knowledge, enthusiasm and went out of his way to ensure that all his guests were looked after and having a great time.
VIP means you get to go on every ride without queueing (faster than the lightning queue), Tyler was happy to look after all our bags whilst we were on the rides so ne need for lockers and you get to do extra bits on the backlot tour.
Buffet lunch was amazing, highlight for my 12 year old was he met Gareth Bale in the restaurant!
Would reccommed the VIP experience, it really does make the day extra special and if you can get Tyler as a guide you will not be disappointed.

We had read the reviews and didn't think it could be that good.
It really was. Pricey, but when you add up what you get, it isn't that bad.
Valet parking, breakfast and snacks at the VIP centre, a top class lunch, unlimited fastpass, access to areas not seen on the regular tour.... But what tops it all is your personal guide. Ours was Nick T (with another Nic talking part of the Tour) who did everything to make us feel like VIPs all day. My favourite moment was when he ushered us past all the others in the fastpass queue saying "my group coming through". He got anyone into which part of the ride they wanted, collected our visors for Mario karts (also fastpass only with the VIP), gave us information about things to look for on the rides and in the park and held our bags while on the rides.
We had smiles on our faces all day.
Will definitely do it again next time and will make sure we get Nick T again.

If you can afford it, this is the best way to do the park, though I would say that a young family would have more freedom to move around by buying a regular ticket. This was perfect for me. My husband was at a conference, and I love traveling solo anyway. Zan, our tour guide, was terrific - knowledgeable, funny, and very accommodating. The only thing I wish I could have done was curate my day ahead of time. I would have skipped the rides and gotten to the shows earlier so I could leave the park earlier to best traffic. Great experience! Definitely going back!

The VIP experience was a great choice for our family of 4. We had an amazing guide Christine who was very knowledgable about The Studios. She was very friendly and accommodating, always ready to answer any questions.

Our tour started at 12.15. We did not know but you can come earlier than your assigned time and explore the Studios on your own. Your VIP pass allows you to go for Express lines.before and after the tour. The early start probably does not make much sense for the rides unless you are a freak ;-) as you will experience them all with the guide. There was a couple with us who did many in the morning and did not want to repeat them later so was waiting for all of us. Earlier start might be a good choice for shows though. As we started later, we missed two shows (animals; special effects) but it was not an issue for us. Our guide chose the Waterworld show which had all we wanted to see - stunts and special effects. We liked it very much.

The Studio tour was fun. It was interesting to see the real film spots and scenes. Christine and her fellow made the tour very enjoyable.

At around 3pm we had our buffet lunch in restaurant Moulin Rouge. The food was very tasty and fresh. It was real treat and nice break from fast food.

The whole experience takes about 6h, without almost no waiting time for rides. It is a great choice for those who want to enjoy the park without stress and hassle. It was so nice to be guided. It is pricey but worth every dollar.
