Allowed us to customize the tour and had more time doing things we were more interested in. Very knowledgeable of L.A. history. We are from the state of LA (Louisiana) and visited L.A. as Dodgers fans. Dave is awesome and would recommend to anyone to book this tour instead of the open bus tours. You will see and get waaaaaayyyy more for your money. We had a Mercedes Benz van that was very comfortable and cool during the L.A. heat. The tour was five hours from 9am to 2pm. She changed my mind and showed us all the funny and interesting things that only a local can provide. Worth every dollar. Now I know great places to go in LA, I might even come back to LA for another trip :) Great and safe driving and navigation in LA traffic of all places, very careful in getting everyone safely to the best places for photos and Bing also made sure individual guest request were served. She is so knowledgeable and it was so good being on a small private bus for 9 people. We stopped a few times at the places we visiting and she never once rushed us and gave us plenty of time to look at stuff and take photos. We also went to the farmers market on the last stop and it’s really good and so many food places to visit. My favorite part of the Grand City Tour of LA was watching my teenage grandsons listening intently to our tour guide Bing's narration. She made the tour so interesting, the boys even put down their cell phones for a bit. Bing threw in several extras for us and she spent just the right amount of time stopped at the sites. We never felt rushed. My husband and I had been to some of the sites before, but we learned a great deal more from Bing. Highly recommended.

Wow! Yes it is always great to see teenager's engaged with our guides during our tour!
We always love to throw in some local extra insights that we have accumulated over the years.

I would like to say thank you again to Guideline Tours for providing me with an enlightening tour of the City of Angels. This was by far one of the best city tours I have experienced. The tour guide was very informative and detailed in the story telling of the site and sounds of Los Angeles. This is a trip that I never will forget and I'm glad to have shared it Guideline Tours. This tour felt like that "just right" fit for us! Our hostess, Bing, was a total professional and yet also personable. She has many years of experience living in Los Angeles and shared a lot of insights with us.
She made valuable suggestions about where to go on our own when the tour was over such as the good trails surrounding the beautiful Art Deco Griffith Observatory which has 4,000 acres of land and to visit Sunset Strip, not just Sunset Drive. Keep in mind that this location is not open every day. We were only able to see it from the outside.
At first glance the stops sounded like they wouldn't be long enough but were in fact perfect. The weather was very hot the day we went and after the allotted time it was a relief to get back on the coach and into the a/c.
Most stops provided access to clean bathrooms.
We didn't expect to be driven past celebrity homes so that was an added bonus.
Overall, this is a fairly priced excursion that gives you a good taste of Los Angeles and offers convenience, comfort, safety and enjoyment.

I contacted this tour company at short notice hoping that they were able to fit us in the following day for the city tour. We were in the city with our 16 year old granddaughter on a short visit and finding it quite difficult trying to entertain her.
Luckily Paul came to the rescue with the city tour the following day. What a trip it turned out to be, Paul was so knowledgeable and passionate about his adopted home town, though very quick to point out that his home was in Chicago. Paul not only shared all that we needed to know about LA but was very interested to learn about our country and culture to. Paul is an excellent tour guide, thank you Paul for a day to remember

I am so glad we were able help with such short notice. After over 34 years of showing visitors from all over the world it is our passion to share our knowledge from the local perspective.
Paul, like all of our guides really love what they do. We are travelers ourselves and we know that when visiting far away from home it's always great and memorable when connecting with a local who knows and loves their city. It can be a waiter, taxi driver/Uber/Lyft or a tour guide.
We do get a lot of multigenerational families so we have decades of experience keeping everyone engaged in the tour experience!
LA is such an international destination, we are so fortunate to have met someone from virtually every country. Paul like our other guides are always excited to meet folks from all walks of life and to learn about the things that makes our guests home state of country unique.

My Wife and I had a wonderful experience on our Grand City Tour of Los Angles
with Guideline Tours. As first time visitors to LA we certainly came away with a great overview of the city sites thanks to our very knowledgeable and entertaining guide hostess and driver Bing. Thanks Bing for sharing a great 5 hour morning with us.
We where picked up ( and returned to ) our hotel and the whole tour and experience had a easy comfortable feel you would expect from a Family operated business.
I highly recommend Guideline Tours. You won’t be disappointed.

If you only have 1 day, or a week, take this tour on the first day. It's a great introduction to LA and a way to see the 'lay of the land'. First perk was the pickup and drop-off at our hotel. I really liked that we didn't have to find the pick-up spot in an unfamiliar city. For my husband's first trip to LA, I wanted him to see the highlights since we were short on time. Our guide Bing, was so knowledgeable, informative, and funny! She made this shared tour seem like a private one. We saw so many places and spent time at each one. I've taken city tours in other states (that wasted a lot of time waiting on the next bus) and Guideline Tours has been the absolute best!
Tip: Always book directly with the company. Incase anything arises, it's easier to deal direct then with the 3rd party who took your money and won't answer the phone. I've learned from experience!

She is so happy that your husband's first trip to LA was a great introduction.
I see you have taken a lot tours city tours in other states that (wasted a lot time waiting waiting on the next bus)
Thank you so much for mentioning this. This is exactly what we strive for. Next year 2023, we will celebrate our 35th year. In the early years we used bigger busses and picked up all over the largest metro area in the country.
In more recent years we changed our tours to smaller minibuses that allow us to get to know our valued guests.
This allows for the most personalized experience and everyone know that travel can be a bit difficult, especially in a new big city with so much to do.
Over the years we have learned that small groups offer the best experience. This not only allows our guides to easily communicate, but we love to offer that private feeling even if it is with a couple of other groups.
This also allows for great 2 way communication. The great thing about it is we go home feeling good that our guests not only had the Hollywood fun but also learned about this very large historic great city we call home.
I am so glad that you rated Bing's tour to be the "absolute best" ! She thanks you and hopes to see you the next time you visit Los Angeles!

The tour covers all the important places in LA (except the beaches), the stops were well programmed and the city has many interesting places.
But the best thing of the tour was our guide, Paul, he was incredibly knowledgeable of the city, its places and its people. He was nice, funny and helpful in every way possible. We have learned to love the city because of people like him.

I took this tour with my Mom who came to visit me in LA, and it was a great way to show her the sights. It was especially nice to go on a weekday morning, as things were relatively clear and uncrowded. Our tour guide Bing was incredible - very knowledgable, thorough, and entertaining, and she helped my Mom (who has limited mobility) in and out of the vehicle at each stop. The next time I have visitors, I know which tour service to recommend!

An excellent tour - our guide (Vin?) knew so much of the LA history and how its pieces fit together. She gave us some plenty of time at the stops, and it was very relaxed - we never felt rushed. The 9-person van was much more personal and comfortable than a big bus, and she explained that it allowed us to see more of the stars’ neighborhoods than a bigger van or bus would have. Very happy we chose this tour.

Had the best time touring LA with Guideline Tours. Got the chance to visit the 'must-sees' in LA plus we had an amazing guide in Bing. She is very friendly, pleasant, knows a lot of interesting stories about LA and very patient in answering all questions. Highly recommended especially for solo travellers who would like to explore LA.
