About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 395filmb0 contributionsShockingly Real!!!Loved our visit! My partner is in a wheelchair and 2.5 hours to read all the cool quotes and take selfies would have been better we did it in 1.5 hours and felt like we missed a lot of interesting information and fun selfies. The last 4D show took place at closing which was a really lovely surprise to see it! We will definitely be back when the restaurant opens in October 2024 or hopefully earlier !!Written September 5, 2024
- Travel110317894120 contributionsSurprisingly cool!I wasn't sure about this one but pleasantly surprised! Odd seeing people that have now passed on too soon though. Worth the time for sure.Written September 3, 2024
- 931laurencep0 contributionsExcellent TussaudsWe went to the SF Tussauds the week before. The Hollywood one is just as good and has a lot more to look at. The wax works, as always, are excellent quality. It was great fun seeing a lot of A-ListersWritten August 25, 2024
- Vacation_Commander0 contributionsFantastic time!!!We spent a week in this area and we might have had more fun here than any other place. The kids absolutely loved all the wax figures and posing with them was half the fun. Some of them even had props to enhance the pictures. It was little odd they way some of them were spaced out, but with 3 floors of fun, we spent a couple of hours here and it was great.Written August 16, 2024
- Sigi20200 contributionsMust go and seeThe wax dolls look real, the themes from room to room are amazing (movies, singers) and there are some accessories to dress up with when taking pictures with the wax figures. The movie was awesome, my kids (17 years) and I had a great time.Written July 29, 2024
- 153kailaj0 contributionsMaybe the staff was having a bad dayI would give my experience a 5 star rating if the customer service wasn’t so bland (except the dude that assisted us @the wax hand booth). Other than that, our time here was exciting & fun. It is definitely worth exploring @least once — granted the possibility of Madame Tussaud’s additions in the future.Written July 23, 2024
- Q5239DHsv0 contributionsNot worth it.There wasn't as many wax figures as I assumed for the price. Got the most expensive package yet wasn't able to fulfil the 4D movie because it was too late. The guy working at the wax station was horribly rude, not helpful, no personality and failed to warn how hot the wax would be for my daughter. Waste of money.Written July 2, 2024
- jenniferrT6443ZD0 contributionsNot worth itNot worth the price of admission. They are redoing a few exhibits. The mannequins.are great but found for the price of admission there were very few. The one in NY is way better.Written May 6, 2024
- sakeenaf20240 contributionsI love it 😻 we got some good picturesGreat place we had so much fun with the props.it was just me and my boyfriend and we re enjoy all three floors of figures and I love the historyWritten March 25, 2024
- NicoleAnne170 contributionsWe had a blast! It was raining, so we decided to give it a go, we were really surprised at how much fun we had, even without our children in tow.Written February 21, 2024
- Elisa C0 contributionsGreat! Want More!Great experience, very well done figures. Entertaining and fun. Would have liked a bigger shop for more museum souvenirs to choose from. Maybe add a photo option to take a picture with your favorite celebrity reveling their walk of fame star, or maybe you yourself reveling your own star.Written February 11, 2024
- Daydream442325195350 contributionsFun treatI was impressed with everything especially the 3d movie at the end. I know there is more stuff coming soon and will definitely be back to see themWritten February 10, 2024
- irinadM6562WE0 contributionsFun!Fun experience! We were there in the morning - few people were visiting at this time and we had a great time posing with the figures and taking pictures uninterrupted. Also Marvel 4D experience was a fun addition to our visit. Still the admission price seems a bit high for about 60 figures.Written February 7, 2024
- 244angied0 contributionsA fun morning out.A fun place to visit! we had a lot of fun seeing the waxworks, it has been a few years since our last visit and there was a big difference in the displays. The 4D movie was fun and just a bit different. While we were there we also took part in the 7D Clown experience - a fun competition for competitive families!Written January 18, 2024
- peggygV5452IC0 contributionsSuper realistic figuresMy daughter wanted to go and I was a bit skeptical. However, everyone in our group had a really good time taking pictures with the various figures. The realism of the statues was astonishing, I kept saying "excuse me" to wax figures! The provided props make it fun to interact with the "stars". I enjoyed the display that showed how the figures are created. We did not experience the Marvel Universe 4D part of the ticket.Written January 14, 2024

Madame Tussaud’s was fun and the kids liked it. I would have reviewed them much higher if I didn’t have to walk through the $10 boutique on my way out! Something should be done about that!
My wife was in the boutique shopping after we complete Madame Tussaud’s museum and I was outside with my 3 year old and 7 month old. My 3 year old wanted his sunglasses so I went inside to get them from my wife. Upon entering a tall skinny guy told me I needed
A basket to get the deals. I replied that I understood and that my wife already had a basket. Even though my arms were full with two kiddos he aggressively insisted. In order to shut the guys big mouth I took a basket and placed it back down a few feet away. I found my wife and retrieved my sons glasses. On my way out the same guy was picking up my dropped basket. He ridiculed me and we exchanged words until one of his coworkers ushered me out of the store. Needless to say my wife put her basket filled with souvenirs down and hurried out of the store. After reading the reviews here I am not the only one that has had this experience and the store refuses to do anything about it. I would rather pay more at a store that appreciates me as a customer than buy some junk at a store where their employees think they work at Dicks restaurant!

Hi ItalyJay thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are so very sorry for an inconvenience you encountered while in Hollywood. The souvenir shop is a separate business not owned or operated by Madame Tussauds but we will speak to their management about this! Again we are so very sorry and hope you had a wonderful time at our museum. Thank you.

The museum opens at 11am and we were the first in line, therefore we had our pick of pictures and wax figures. They direct you to the top floor and you make your way down the museum. There are many categories of figures, starting with the most famous celebrities at the top of the museum (Leo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lopez, etc), and including exhibits such as Wild West and the Marvel Universe. The celebrities range from the 1950s to present day. Some of the exhibits have props that you can touch and dress in to get fun pictures. We spent about 30-45 minutes in the museum, but you can easily spend longer if you read the plaques about each celebrity and take lots of pictures.

The music was so loud it was beyond distracting. The flashing strobe lights only made things worse! My wife got instantly sick between the two and we had to leave after only a couple of minutes inside. The staff was more interested in pushing "extras" on us than anything else. I cannot think of a single positive thing about this most recent visit and that's a tragedy since I have visited this museum several times in the past and never had such an overwhelmingly negative experience.

If you've been to Madame Tussauds in NYC then don't bother. If you've never been to a Madame Tussauds you would enjoy it. There are a few interactive spots to take pictures which was nice. Of course the wax statues were nice, but the overall setting of some of the figures were off, like having a former president with a background of the bar, really? Also, don't take pictures in the photo booth before exiting, the pictures are horrible and you can't get your money back. Overall kids 13-18 had fun posing with the figures and with a few props, but overall we were all underwhelmed, especially since we've been to the museum in NY.

It was good to see but a couple of negitives. If you've prepurchased online your tickets, the process to email them and get them printed at the entry is ridiculous. It took longer to get in that if we just waited in que. The other down side was it was over crowded. Could barely see and take photos without pumping into people or wait ages to see the next one.

Thank for taking the time to write a review. I'm sorry your experience wasn't perfect. We'll use your feedback to refine our processes - we are already working with our partners to see how we can avoid making people that bought their ticket through other websites do not have to email us their confirmation...
I'm glad we warranted the four star rating nevertheless.

We were about to go into madame tussauds hollywood, but first we went to look at the souvenir shop beside it. As we went in the door, a woman yelled at us saying "you can only come in if you carry a basket" and tried to get us to take one of their shopping baskets. We left and went to madame tussauds. When we exited tussauds, we had to exit via that same souvenir shop, and weren't forced to get a basket then. Why the hell demand people use a basket? And why be so aggressive about it? And why is that rule in place when entering the other door?
We noticed other people turned away from this woman when she demanded the basket rule.

Conveniently located on Hollywood Blvd, and was only 5 mins on foot from the metro station, the Madame Tussauds Hollywood was a great place to visit. We had so much fun and loved the way how all the stars were displayed. A must in Hollywood!

A thoroughly enjoyable visit. Slight hiccup with our booking as bar code did not appear on our phone but a supervisor resolved the problem. We throughly enjoyed our tour of all the exhibits and the many photo opportunities with the 'stars'. A throroughly enjoyable morning. A 'must see' attraction. Highly recommended.

We were about to go into Tussaud’s Hollywood and went to look in the souvenir store beside it, and was we walked in, a woman yelled at us and sai we “have to use a basket”, we said we were just going to look. So again she went on about the basket.
So, we left. We went through Tussaud’s, and as we left, we realised you have to leave via the same souvenir store. But there was no demand from the staff inside Tussaud’s to carry a basket. I noticed another review here saying they had the “basket” obsessed staff harassing them, and the reply from Tussaud’s was “thanks for bringing it to their attention”, yet that was months before we went. So Tussaud’s are clearly happy for the basket harassment.
