- Sherpa287237674580 contributionsFamily FunThis was an amazing family activity to do. The kids enjoyed riding and sight seeing on the way. The 1 hour ride was perfect for us.Written August 7, 2023
- Lauren T0 contributionsFamily funIt was fun for all ages. Came with 2 teenagers and 2 younger kids. The younger kids loved riding in the front basket to watch the scenery and the teenagers enjoyed the workout of pedaling and learning how to steer the oversized bike. The perfect activity for a family on a 70 degree day.Written December 18, 2022
- GolstonElite0 contributionsA great time!Had a great time with my wife and children exploring the shoreline. Great workout too, definitely worked up a sweat- probably because my lazy kids didn’t want to help me peddle, lol.Written May 25, 2020
- RetiredIBEW0 contributionsNice Day at BeachLocated in Shoreline Village, Prices are reasonable, Friendly Staff. This is a great way to explore the beach and marina near the harbor in Long Beach. Great views of the Queen Mary and the cruise ship terminal. 3 hour parking with validation they only charge $2.00 for parking great deal, $10.00 for all day. They have a 15 minute grace period of you don't make it back on time, we were 30 minutes late and they did not charge any extra. Don't forget to tip your attendant.Written January 25, 2019
- Z4859BAjohnm0 contributionsTour the shore peddal-style!If you have some time and a little spending cash you can tour the shore of Long Beach in one of their peddal-powered rentals. Great for families as they have vehicles that can sit 4 to 6 people. The family that peddals together stays together! Highly recommend going around sunset as the views are spectacular! But be careful, you will need to watch out for pedestrians, cyclists, and scooters as you make your way around the shore or along the beach. And remember to leave enough time for the return trip so you don't go over your allotted time limit.Written August 26, 2018
- Torrie S0 contributionsSmooth RideWheel of FUN! Great title, we sure had fun wheeling around in this beauty. Word to the wise, work up an appetite and then get on the bike and have fun. We are all sort of backwards, we ate like two hogs and thought it was a good idea to take a stroll on the bike! NOT! Ride first, eat after. The stroll on the bike was so scenic and simple fun. We checked out the path on smooth steady strides not missing a turn. The simple use of the bike and cool beach breeze made for a classic California evening. One hour is plenty unless you really want to piddle the area! Make sure to purchase a bottle of water for comfort and enjoyment. The bike has really loose tension and heavy peddling is not necessary. Smooth short stride is all you need! No need for muscle bound Strenuous workout! Really cool, so relaxing and with the right partner very romantic!Written June 11, 2018
- olgat1880 contributionsWho said only sighted people can bike?So my friends and I who have vision problems went for a ride today: We had so much fun, Our sighted friends were the one in charge of the wheels and pedals- But wait there were 12 people in our group and we rented (3) 4- seater surrey bike. Rental price is just fine. There were 4 people in each surrey bike. Each seater has pedals too , so we don’t just seat there, we pedal down and cruise along the shoreline confidently, We enjoyed the breeze and nice weather as we go on a race for more than an hour. We ended up really tired, hungry and ate a lot at nearby Yard House restaurant yummy real food! Try it and have fun!Written April 6, 2018
- zezee730 contributionswe rented the 4 person bikeit was a fun ride down the beach we went around sun set so the view was incredibly beautiful, so was the weather. the kids had fun waving to others who riding the bikes too. - 0 contributionsIgnorant sales girlSunday 24th Sept 2017 I was going to hire a 4 person surrey and approached the young girl who was taking orders. A man was already hiring a 2 man surrey with his young son. The young lad put his helmet on the wrong way round and the girl laughed sarcastically which embarrassed the kid. It took me by surprise but thought no more about it. When it was my turn, she ignored me for an awkward minute while she shuffled some paperwork about and then asked unenthusiastically and without looking at me if she could help. I had to ask her about the parking situation first before I could hire the bike but she bluntly said 'Don't know, nothing to do with me, I just rent bikes' and turned away to shuffle more paperwork. Needless to say I didn't bother doing any business with Wheel Fun that day The only rude, ignorant person I came across in the two weeks I was in the U.SWritten September 25, 2017
- Lisa S0 contributionsRent a surrey or bike to see the beach! We rented a surrey and cruised down the beach for about 30-40 minutes. It was super easy to rent and reasonable price - especially with coupon from Traveler magazine. It was more work than I expected - so next time would do a tandem bike or just two regular bikes. But in all fairness she warned us! Basically you have to always be pedaling and since there are no gears, you have to pedal pretty fast and are still going pretty slow. no regrets - but checked that off the list though. Haha.Written June 11, 2017
- David A0 contributionsLoved the 3 hour Segway tour of Long Beach! My guide, Anthony P., couldn't be better. It was my first time on a segway. He made me feel at ease while learning and was quick to point out any possible safety hazards. The actual tour was very fun. Anthony is knowledgable on local culture, history, and current developments of Long Beach. He has lived in the area his whole life. He made sure everyone had opportunities to take photos and take breaks. He even took us to places to play with the segways without other people and vehicles in the way. I wanted to feel like I experienced all downtown long beach has to offer. This tour left me totally satisfied. I recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun interesting way to see beautiful Long Beach.Written June 6, 2017
- Andy M0 contributionsMade the afternoon! My wife and I rented a tandem bike and took the route suggested by the girl who worked there. It was a nice, fun thing to do. We passed a few people that were in the side by side bikes and they didnt seem to be having as much fun. :) We went down the path suggested and locked the bike up to walk on the beach for a few.Written March 26, 2017
- ScampinIzzy0 contributionsQuick and partially painlessWe hadn't planned on taking a two person, four wheel vehicle out, this was a spur of the moment decision before we returned home after our vacation. The whole process was quick and mainly painless, the pain came with trying to squeeze a 6feet2 male into a seat designed for a midget, my knees were painful by the end of the ride. Secondly the bike system had no gears, this made peddling difficult, and back to being painful at times. A great way to spend an hour, my suggestion to the owners is to make the seats either interchangeable to give more hight, or have a seat that extends. Also fit the bikes with maybe two extra gears to assist with the movement of the bike. Than being said we had some fun, thank youWritten September 30, 2016
- Steve F0 contributionsGreat way to cruise the beachThis was so much fun. There are lots of options for bike rentals, all the way from traditional 3 speed cruiser bikes to six passenger surrys. We opted for three wheel recumbent bikes, which were great. They were very maneuverable and stable. We ride south on the awesome bike path along the beach. Prices were very reasonable for what we got.Written September 19, 2016
- Jangransutton0 contributionsBike hire on the waterfrontNo fuss , quick service , don't forget your photo ID . The only problem was the bikes don't have brakes on the handle bars you need to back pedal to brake and it took some getting used to , luckily it wasn't a busy day as I didn't feel too safe with my braking techniqueWritten September 8, 2016
