After living here for the past 4 years, I've explored the area extensively. Having said that, I had never been to the grounds on which this experience is held. I couldn't have had better guides to not only show me around but also educate and inspire me. The nature walk was lovely and a good way to settle into the subtle energy that permeates the land. Conan is very knowledgeable about nature and points out elements that most would not notice. By the time we got to the boulder cave for our sound healing, Ramona gracefully transitioned me from hiking to total relaxation. She has a unique way of holding space and making sure everyone is comfortable and cared for. I also liked how she incorporated different elements into her sound bath to make it her own, including music, tuning forks, and aromatherapy which really worked well to enhance the entire experience. I highly recommend this experience and also have some suggestions for anyone visiting. 1. Book this experience 2. Wear comfortable hiking shoes 3. Bring water, sunscreen, layers, and snacks. 4. Be ready to unplug from technology 5. Give yourself more than 3 hours as you may simply want to sit on a rock after and take it all in :)Written April 14, 2022

Conan brought the rich geological and anthropological history of the land to life for our group on an enjoyable walking tour (his knowledge of the region is encyclopedic and passionate), then Ramona took over in a cave to administer a sound bath that was immersive, therapeutic, and meditative.
Climbing down into that cool cave, from the hot desert day, added to the dreamlike nature of the respite, and the acoustics of that cave made Ramona’s bowls and other instruments gripping and powerful. Either half alone would be worth the outing, and the combination was particularly memorable. Conan and Ramona are instant and genuine friends, I’ll bring my family next time.

I almost don’t want to write a review because this experience is such a hidden gem. What a way to truly experience the desert! The private property has boulders, Joshua Trees, and beautiful well-kept gardens. We had a local guide who grew up in the area that was well-versed in the critters we saw, plants, and geography. He took us to an overlook point with a breathtaking view, and the hike lead us to the soundbath. The soundbath is located in a staircase cave that’s majestic! The crystal bowls sound like heaven here, and the sound healer was so intuitive and experienced with taking us through a lovely meditation. It is a true honor to experience a Soundbath in this way, as you feel a true connection to nature. There was a moment where the birds chirping in a distance felt like they were singing along to the sound. Afterwards, we hiked to a common area, where fresh carrot-orange juice was pressed and served. We had a moment to chat with the rest of the group and connect. We then went to the cool plunge pool to relax from the heat, and we’re invited to roam the property, where we found a cool cave to relax and stargaze. This is a magical experience!

The best part about what this group does is walk you through Grants Gulch to appreciate the geology of the rock formations unique to this place, the hieroglyphs and sacred places that make pockets of the desert so precious. Conan did a wonderful job orientating us to nature, the landscape before delivering us to Ramona’s capable hands. It was chilly, even at noon with the wind, so a few bellows breath were needed to get through the ceremony, and there were plenty of warm blankets. As a sound bath first-timer was really powerful and I’m still feeling the clarifying effects a day later.
Highly recommend. Just don’t forget walking shoes, it’s definitely rustic.

My wife and I have visited Joshua Tree numerous times. In fact it is one of our favorite places to visit in California especially when we fly into Palm Springs. On our last visit we found a flyer at the local coffee shop for Joshua Tree Alchemy and saw online that they were offering a nature walk and soundbath.
My wife meditates regularly and has had numerous soundbaths in the past and was immediately intrigued by what she had read. With little hesitation she signed us up for the Thursday afternoon tour. For me, this was my first soundbath experience and I have to say it was not at all what I was expecting. I felt myself actually calm and relaxed to a point I have never experienced before.
This portion of the tour lasted for maybe two hours however, I felt as though I had rested for 8 hours. It was the perfect way to spend the first afternoon of our trip. It really helped us to decompress from the motion of the city and long flight the day before. Talking about the location it is the perfect space to get away from everything (we didn’t even have cell reception) and really connect with nature. The sound cave actually sounds incredible. Shortly after the tour ended the sun sat in that picturesque desert way. We stayed for a few hours on the stargazing deck where we laid out our yoga mats and watched the night sky. Once it got fully dark you could actually see a perfect stripe of the Milky Way, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Mars and a bunch of shooting stars something we never get in Brooklyn. We really had an unforgettable experience and can’t wait to come out and spend time with this group again.

Thank you for trusting us with your first soundbath! Hearing how you feel like you rested for 8 hours with the sound vibration makes us so happy, as a big part of this experience is the calming effect. We are so happy you stayed for some stargazing. Hopeful for more unforgettable experiences with you and your wife.
With love,
Conan and Ramona

I found Joshua Tree Alchemy on Instagram @joshuatree_alchemy recently as I live in LA and visit the desert often. I absolutely love Joshua Tree and always try to explore new areas during my visits. After seeing a couple posts from JT Alchemy I decided to give their adventure a shot and let me say, it is by far one of my favorite experiences to date in the desert. Everything from the location to the people I met, Ramona’s amazing performance, the seclusion and grounding feeling of nature not to mention, the pool.
It was incredible to take a dip in the pool surrounded by crystals. It’s really hard to summarize this experience in a review it’s easier to go out and experience it for yourself. One of the best ways to spend a day in the desert.

I am so happy I booked this! I took a trip to Joshua Tree with my daughter recently and this made our trip even more special. Just what we both needed. I would highly recommend this experience, from the nature walk to the sound bath… hearing about the history of land where we did the nature walk and learning more about the Joshua Tree area, as well as the meditation & sound bath in the Boulder cave left us feeling grounded and recharged. Everything we had hoped for and more. Thank you Conan and Ramona for the experience.

This was easily one of the most unique, transformative, and wonderful experiences I have ever had. Conan is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the land, and really took the time to educate us on the beauty surrounding us. It allowed us to be fully present and aware, and grounded. There are probably very few experiences in the world that would compare to the meditation and sound bath in the boulder cave. Ramona created an intentional and beautiful environment, where we were able to completely relax into the positive energy flow. I can't wait to go back and bring family and friends to share this experience again.

My boyfriend decided to plan something special for our anniversary so he booked a weekend for us in Joshua Tree. I thought we were just going to visit the park and maybe take some pics of the trees and desert. I never imagined he would have made such a thoughtful plan. He booked us a private afternoon tour that consisted of a beautiful walk, meditation and soundbath. After the tour we set out on foot, on our own and found an amazing lookout point with a breath taking view that felt like we had the entire desert to ourselves. There was a point where I felt myself wishing the moment would never end. I couldn’t thank him enough for the surprise.

This was the first soundbath my husband and I experienced outside in nature. We loved starting off by exploring and learning about the history of the land with Conan. Ramona and Conan are so friendly, welcoming, and created a safe space that allowed me to connect, relax, and help me heal. Ramona has such a calming energy and was the perfect guide. My husband also said this was by far the best soundbath he's ever attended! We highly recommend this experience and can't wait to come back!

Hi there! My husband and I will be coming to JTree the last week of April (for my big bday). We are VERY interested in this experience. Can you tell me approx. where we would be meeting? I know its a large park and we are trying to figure out our driving route. We would be booking 4/29. Can you reply as soon as possible because we have to make our overnight arrangements depending on your answer. Thank You! love, Peggy
