Just back from an amazing day with Surf City Adventure tours! Thomas was a brilliant host, and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the sights of LA. Thomas arrived ahead of time to collect us from the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach, and as soon as we got into the mini bus the tour began. Lunch at the farmers market was delicious and we all enjoyed the facts and stories we were told on our travels! Thank you for a great day - a highlight of our holiday so far!

First visit to the Hollywood-Beverly Hills area. Thomas was an excellent tour guide. We enjoyed lunch at Farmers Market which was awesome. I highly recommend.

My wife and I had a great touring experience with Thomas. Also very grateful he allowed us to bring our toy poodle on the tour. Thomas kept it casual and flowing naturally, like we were just being driven around town by a family friend who knew the area very well. Lots of interesting trivia and sights. We covered a lot of areas in just a few hours. Highly recommended for a stress-free experience of LA.

This review is about the Owner, Thomas and my experience with him when I tried to book a tour. I emailed and SMSed the company several times asking questions about the tour with no response and a refusal to answer basic questions, or rather avoiding to answer tricky questions like minimum numbers for departures. I then decided to have a chat over the phone to see if it was a legitimate company, only to be met by a really rude man. He picked up the phone, wanted to know if I was booking a tour or not and was not interested in answering questions about the tour itself. I asked him a question and within 30 seconds of the call he started swearing down the phone using the F word then hung up. Um no thanks. Needless to say I will not be booking this tour for myself, my family and friends and colleagues. Blacklisted for sure. I don't know what sort of person with this behaviour runs a company like this.

We just want to thank Thomas for an amazing experience last week. Travelling with my two children, you are always a bit wary of doing these tours in case they get bored etc but no such worry here. Thomas is firstly a great guy, very friendly and funny, my two were smiling and laughing for the whole tour. Secondly, Thomas' knowledge was second to none. He also tailored the tour to suit what we wanted to see which was perfect. I am a huge music fan and we stopped at the Rainbow Bar to have a look inside and raise a glass to Lemmy! Amazing! This tour gets 5+ stars from us! Thomas (owner & operator) was without a doubt one of the best guides we have ever had! Thomas is born and raised in the area and is a wealth of knowledge on absolutely everything! We will definitely be doing the Catalina Island Tour with him when we return. Thanks for putting up with these crazy Canucks :)

My daughter and I were on a theme park trip for her birthday and I booked this tour to see the city on a Sunday. The other guests had canceled, so it ended up being a very nice, private tour of the massive city and its sights. Thomas was an excellent and entertaining guide, with tons of stories and some songs LOL... We appreciated his knowledge and humour. It was nice to get off our feet and see the city and relax, plus feel safe doing it as we are very small-town Canadians:) Thanks so much for everything Thomas, we will definitely do another tour with you if we ever come back!!!! My parents and I really enjoyed our tour with Thomas & Cathy. Both welcoming and knowledgeable, they took us to see the highlights of Hollywood and Beverly Hills, gave us plenty of time to walk around certain areas and take photos and as it was just the 3 of us, even included a few other things for us - Greystone Mansion and La Brea tar pits amongst them. Thomas regaled us with interesting facts and history snippets about the areas we visited, as well as the Hollywood stars and sites from various movies. Lunch at the Farmers Market allowed us to choose from a variety of different cuisines to suit our different tastes, topped off with icecream. It was great to then see the contrasting less glamourous side of LA on the way home. Altogether a great tour.

Purchased this tour on Viator for the last day of our vacation. Received confirmation of the booking, meeting location and time, my credit card was charged several hundred dollars. I was double-checking the meeting location at 5:45 pm the night before and stumbled upon a vague, four-word message: trip canceled by Viator. I called the tour operator to find out what was going on and get more info. The man on the other end of the phone was unbelievably rude, repeatedly interrupted and talked over me, and snidely remarked, “that’s what you get when you book last minute”. Last minute? There was no indication on the tour info page that gave any advance timeline within which the trip had to be purchased or warning that the booking would not be honored if secured the day prior to departure, yet this person continually stated the cancellation was my fault. If an advance timeline is required, STATE THAT ON THE TOUR INFO PAGE. It is beyond me that this tour operator and Viator would advertise, book, and send CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING, let alone charge seven hundred dollars to my card and then out of the blue send a hidden message (stumbled upon only when I clicked on “chat with your operator”) that my booking was cancelled. I have no idea how Orange County Adventure Tours remains in business with this level of disrespect and piss poor customer service.

Great experience with fantastic guides; enough time to walk around, learned a lot about past and present of LA from our guides.

Enjoyed our own private tour very much! Thomas and Kathy were great guides pointing out landmarks and history and it was nice to be able to see the coast without a being in a big crowd. Lots of tips for future visits so this was a great intro to be able to get oriented a bit. Thanks to you both, was nice meeting you!

We really enjoyed out day out, was so easy for us, collected and dropped off at our rental property in HB. Unfortunately rainy morning in LA and so couldn't spend time wandering on Sunset boulevard and couldn't see Hollywood Sign. However, sun came out later and after lunch got some great photos in Beverly Hills and of Sign. We would never has seen so much if tried to to do this on own. Only issue was limited view out of back of car for our son, so best for 2 people only. Would recommend. thank you Thomas.
