This is the greatest zoo I’ve ever been to! The layout is really great and many of the exhibitions can be seen from more than one viewing area.

What an amazing place, not only the animals, but all of the plants too!! A lovely way to spend a few days. Walking, the bus tour and the skyfari - lots of fun ways to see everything.

The first thing we did was hop on the bus! We saw most of the zoo this way, and were able to identify areas we wanted to visit on foot. We ad an amazing lunch at Albert's Restaurant, and grabbed soft serve upstairs afterward. We took the aerial tram in the late afternoon and it offered fantastic views of the zoo and balboa park. We ran out of time to see everything we wanted (this zoo is huge), but felt like it was an an excellent day nonetheless.

Well for every year having experienced different .. and I like 👍 more because in this year getting the baby’s pandas 🐼.. is wonderful. I’m glad 😃 for came in today … is amazing the moments .. more eco friendly ..

We had a wonderful time. Ethan, our bus tour guide was excellent. My mom commented on how clearly we could understand him and the information he provided was very interesting. We took the bus a week prior and thought he was really good. I recommend going early in the morning as most animals were up and moving about. We saw so many animals on the bus and on foot.

The Best Zoo that we've ever been to. Extremely Clean. Awesome layout for the animals. Friendly staff everywhere. Good food and drink options.

The zoo is always wonderful. We have year passes so we can go as much as possible. We go there for beautiful walks, to have lunch at the restaurants, and to see all the cool animals. The animals here always seem very happy and well cared for.

Lots of walking great experience love to see the zoo again and maybe the zoo expand smaller cages for bigger animals but other than great experience and hope to visit in future

Animals and app was amazing. We stayed all day and got to see all available animals. Only thing that I would change is the map is very confusing in the lost forest alot of different levels. We got confused on how to get to certain things.

I enjoyed most of the enclosures, though I am amazed that the enclosures for the bears and several other animals are still as small as when I was a child. The tour guide on the bus was fantastic. She was entertaining and knowledgeable and passionate about conservation. I appreciate that the bus is included in the ticket price. Food, drinks and memorabilia are shockingly expensive, especially after coming from the zoos in Europe. The cost seems prohibitive for many families and detracts from the experience of a visit. I have a membership but can’t see myself purchasing anything in the zoo. Honestly, I had a much better experience in the zoos in The Netherlands and they were way more affordable.

The zoo is big and has a nice collection of animals and plants. There is no cruel shows. you can take photos of animals easily, we ended up with thousands of photos of cute animals and exotic plants

Amazing animals, beautiful greenery. Customer service was impeccable, all the animals were beautiful. The restrooms was so clean.

The volunteers at the zoo provided so much value to our zoo experience. They give directions, answer questions about the animals, and are just genuinely kind and friendly. They make such a difference.
