      • A variety of meals are available in most hotels the most popular being Indian, Chinese, and the more common continental food. Non-vegetarian dishes are generally available in most parts of Bhutan - pork, beef, chicken, and fish. The best advice is to ask the hotel and restaurant to recommend what is fresh and in season. For the actual trekking days, our company will send wide assortment of food. We will be provided 3 meals a day breakfast, hot picnic lunch on the way, and dinner at the campsites with evening tea and snacks. Himalayan Glacier's trekking cooks are well trained and can whip up delicious meals at any altitude. If any special dietary needs are required, then it is advised to let the company know about them prior to the trip.
      • It is a condition upon joining any of Himalayan Glacier's trips that all clients be insured for comprehensive expenses that might incur due to medical issues or accidents (this includes air ambulance, helicopter rescue, and treatment costs). Please note that we don't arrange or sell insurance.
      • Trekking in Bhutan is physically demanding because of the distance and abrupt changes in elevation. Depending on the day of the trek, you will have to walk for an average of 3-5 hours covering a distance of around 10-14 kilometers daily to reach the campsites. Most of the climbs run through deep forests on rocky trails and sometimes the trails traverses through wet mud were you need agility to hop between round river stones. But if you have experience walking long distances with a back pack and you do not have history of knee pains on descents it should not be difficult for you.
      • Spring (March to May) and autumn (September and October) are the best time for touring and trekking in Bhutan. The months of April and May offer the natural grandeur of rhododendron blooms whereas Bhutan observes its biggest festivals during spring.

An amazing journey - Annapurna Circuit
Went for 12 days for Annapurna Trek. It was a dream come true. The trek was fulfilling, challenging at times but definitely adventurous. The views were stunning. We got lucky with the weather. The trip was definitely made more fun and achievable by our amazing team from Himalayan Glacier. Babu Ram was our tour guide. He and his two assistants were so nice, kind, encouraging and supportive. They went above and beyond the call of duty to assist us in every way possible. Babu Ram was extremely professional and knowledgeable about the trek. His experience and professionalism made us feel more secure and safe through out the trek. Himalayan Glacier was very easy to deal with and accommodating to our requests. They helped me achieve my bucket list item. I highly recommend them 😊

        Great trip
My husband and I had a wonderful experience on the Bhutan + Nepal trip. The pre-trip communication was excellent and put us at ease that we were in good hands. Bhutan is a magical country that exceeded our expectations - it was so peaceful. Shout out to our amazing guide Sonam Tobgay for everything. It was great to combine the Bhutan trip with some sightseeing around Kathmandu. And the flight between Kathmandu - Paro is AMAZING. Coolest flight of my life, as you fly right by the Himalayas up-close and see Mt. Everest out your window. Really incredible. (When flying to Paro, get a seat on the left side of the plane. Flying back to Kathmandu, sit on the right. Online check-in & seat selection begins 3 days in advance of the departure.) All in all, we would DEFINITELY use Himalayan Glacier again, and in fact we are already dreaming about our next trip with them! We highly recommend this travel company.
