Great Bike & Hike tour!
My wife, son and girlfriend took the Bodega Bay Bike & Hike Tour Thursday, July 9th on a last minute whim. We spoke to the owner (Frieda) the day before and she was high spirited and very nice to deal with. Since my wife and I had our own bikes, she gave us a $20 discount. We decided to meet in Bodega bay at 10:00am. Omar met us with a trailer with 2 bikes for my son and his girlfriend. Omar introduced himself, explained what the 3 hrs will consist of and made sure we all had water and reassured us overall this was an easy bike ride except for one road with an incline where he mentioned we could walk our bike if we’d like. Safety was never an issue. Well, Omar was an exceptional Tour guide and was very informational and easy going. The bike ride was amazing. We saw deer, various birds (mostly egrets and seagulls) as the weather was perfect. We also had a 2 mile easy hike that overlooked Bodega Bay. As we biked back, we stopped at Spud Point Crab Company for some delicious New England Calm Chowder that was included in the Tour fee. Overall, I rate our experience with 5 stars!

Thank you Frieda and Omar. We are now thinking of taking the Nike and Wine Tour next.

Breathtaking experience!
Feb 2020 • Friends
Omar was an exceptional guide! The biking was relaxing and fun, and just what we needed to start our girls weekend in wine country. If we felt we needed to stop and walk or wanted to stop to take pictures, Omar was more than willing to accommodate. The bay was absolutely breathtaking and Omar had ample amounts of information to share! The complimentary clam chowder was the best we ever had!! We highly recommend this tour for anyone!

Nice half day bike tour of Bodega Head!
Oct 2019
First of all, our guide Frieda (also owner of the company) is awesome. We were only in Bodega Bay for a short weekend trip in October, so I had called to see if they had any available tours for either of the days we were there. They didn't, but Frieda called back and set up a special tour just for our family of four.

Included in the package for each person were hybrid bikes, helmets, and bottled water. For the first part of the tour we biked around the bay towards Bodega Head. Mostly flat street riding along the road while cars would drive by, though most cars did give us wide berth when passing us. Frieda is pretty knowledgable of the area and would tell us about the history as well as interesting facts about the local fauna/flora. She's super friendly and outgoing - generally a very pleasant person to hang out with for half the day!

The ride up to Bodega Head involved a strenuous hill climb for those who aren't extremely athletic or fit (that would be us!), but it wasn't a very long climb. The only person in our group who had to walk for parts of the hill was our 8 year old son. Our 11 year old was able to power his way up without too much trouble.

At the top of Bodega Head we locked up the bikes (Frieda had a flat tire so she gave our boys a lesson on changing bike tires) and hiked the trail around the head. Fantastic views of the bay and we even spotted some whales. The hike was probably 45 minutes long - easy walk on flat dirt paths that get a lot of foot traffic.

On our way back we stopped at Spud Point Crab Co. and got some of their famous clam chowder, which was also included in the tour package. Delicious!

Total time of the entire tour was probably 5 hours...mostly because we took longer breaks (changing a flat bike tire, spent some time whale-watching on Bodega Head, somewhat of long lines at Spud Point Crab Co.). Overall it was a fantastic experience and we'd highly recommend it!

A shoulder to lean on.
Oct 2019
Our group of five middle-aged couples recently rented bicycles from Ace It for a tour of Sonoma County wine country. We’re not exactly wine connoisseurs, nor are we Lance Armstrong. In fact, one of the riders, yours truly, just had shoulder surgery eight days earlier and showed up for the ride wearing a sling. Frieda, the Long Island-native and founder of Ace It quickly dubbed me “Shoulder Boy.” It was the perfect ice breaker for our fun-loving group. She fit in like family. The prospect of negotiating Wine Country roadways after imbibing and keeping Shoulder Boy out of the ER had some of us sweating Chard. Good thing Frieda is also a registered nurse. After sizing the fleet of new mountain-style bikes to each rider and going over the safety rules, Frieda and her kind-hearted tour-guide partner, Omar, flanked our group and led the expedition to two wonderful wineries and the impressive new Russian River brewery. Total mileage for the excursion was about fifteen. Shoulder Boy managed the trek quite easily and even worked my newly repaired rotator cuff by hoisting wine goblets and beer steins with ample dexterity. Highly recommend this tour group and activity.

Wonderful Day in the Bay
Jun 2019
I highly recommend the Bodega Bay hike & bike tour. Needing a break from wineries, we booked this as a day of activity and wonderful scenery. Ace It provided an inclusive experience with transportation, all necessary biking equipment and a knowledgeable guide. Freida was delightful, providing expert commentary in a fun, easy manner. The bike/hike was a perfect combo, not too difficult. This was the perfect way to experience Bodega Bay, enjoy the environment and get some exercise. Great way to spend a day in Sonoma!

Perfect Sunday Funday
Jul 2019 • Couples
We decided to forgo our weekly Sunday brunch and decided to kick it up a notch and be adventurous since it was a gorgeous day. We met with other fun couples and were taken to the riding spot in a luxurious van (super clean and spacious). Our guide was fun and knowledgeable. He made sure to answer all our questions and fitted us with the correct size bikes. And by the way, the bikes looked new, and the seats were super comfy. There is a small steep little hill on the way up- so make sure you know how to switch gears! The hike was breathtaking, breezy but sunny. I brought my camera and took tons of photos. We highly recommend this lovely tour- all the thumbs up!!
