- patrick1g0m0nt0 contributionsDream of AfricaIt was the best safari experience of our lives. Accompanied by a talented and expert guide in his knowledge of the country and its habitants, we fell in love with this magnificent country. Of course our experience with the Gorillas was magical (thanks to the choice of our guide to have us accompanied by a very competent ranger), we had at least 6 unique experiences in our life with the animals, in trekking, or well by visiting a Batwa village which moved us a lot. The choice of lodges was just in perfect harmony with our needs, they were all beautiful, comfortable with breathtaking views each time. Everything was perfect, we will come back to it because that is how we love real and authentic Africa.Written January 23, 2023
- lauracP4076ZL0 contributionsA MUST DO!EVERYTHING! We had an amazing time with Rangeland, who coordinated our 12 day roundtrip in Uganda including the chimpanzee and gorilla trekking. Everything went smoothly and the guides knew the country inside out. Amazing accommodation, the most beautiful destinations and unforgettable experiences of the pearl of Africa - which it truly is! We can't wait to be back!Written May 30, 2022
- houdab3350 contributionsGreat experiencewe had very nice three days with our tour guide Ronald. He is knowledgeable and attentive. The organization was smooth and everything went well. I would recommend booking with the agency but I would add another day at the Queen Elizabeth national park next time.Written February 8, 2022
- KCSparks0 contributionsTrip of a lifetime!Range Land Safaris coordinated an incredible 20 day adventure around Uganda. White water rafting on the Nile, game drives in Murchison and Queen Elizabeth, tracking chimpanzees and gorillas through the rain forest. It was unforgettable. Best of all, our guide Ronnie was genuine and kind, knowledgeable, constantly attentive to our needs, and fun. We will be traveling with him in the future!Written February 15, 2020
- Tropical0080 contributionsMrMy next trip to Africa will be with Ronnie. Extraordinary destinations with a truly extraordinary guide! Depth and breadth of knowledge, uncommon hospitality, constantly suprising attention to detail. Great Land Cruiser! It is also my honor to have a new valued friend.Written January 22, 2020
- FarAway511780767920 contributionsExcellent Service, Wonderful peopleRange Land Safaris is one of the best safaris companies in East Africa. I have used them for a number of trips to the area and they are always 100% reliable and honest. The best thing is how flexible they are as I often find I am make changes to my itinerary, they are always accommodating and helpful. The guides are knowledgeable and seem to have good connections across the area, which means they can find accommodation to suit my needs. In an area where its really important to know what you are doing and plan things to keep you safe I would say that these guys are experts! I would not hesitate to recommend Range Land to anyone.Written June 10, 2019

- AdzyKinkladze0 contributionsReliable professional staff and good serviceI have used Range Land Safaris for the previous 4 years when travelling to Uganda, and I would thoroughly recommend Ronnie and his team. I have mainly used the vehicle hire side of the business, and every year the vehicle I have hired has been well serviced, reliable and safe - this is not a given when travelling in Uganda! Range Land are extremely professional in their dealings, and communication with them was quick and clear. Having got to know Ronnie and his team well over the years, it is clear that they are passionate about what they do. Most of the team are former rangers, so they have conservation at the heart of everything they do. Their local knowledge is second to none and they will also take tourists off the beaten track so you visit the real Uganda. What I particularly like about working with Range Land is that they seek to give their customers value for money - they make recommendations to you on the basis of quality rather than something which is expensive but could be found cheaper elsewhere. Ronnie is directly responsible for saving me many dollars by finding cheap but comfortable accommodation. I would recommend Range Land without hesitation for their professionalism, clear communication and customer service. They have become good friends and I would always use their services when visiting Uganda.Written June 4, 2019

There are few things cooler than trekking through the forest to see wild mountain gorillas! This was one of the coolest wildlife encounters my wife and I have experienced! We definitely couldn’t have done it without Range Land Safaris!
We got to see 7 gorillas, including a silverback, and a playful toddler gorilla! The local Ugandans were so kind and made the entire trek an experience to never forget. We were amazed about their certainty of seeing gorillas. In order to ensure success, the local Ugandans send trackers, who know the gorillas, out ahead of us and radio to our guide where they are for the day. As long as you are willing to hike, they said you will almost always be able to see the gorillas! My favorite part was when the little baby walked right past my feet!
Our guide Ronald, one of Range Land Safaris’ co-founders, really made our trip an unforgettable experience. It seems like he knows the entire country and every detail about the animals. The company has a deep pride in conservation and giving back to the local community. Whether you are looking at trekking for gorillas, going on a safari, rafting down the Nile River, or pretty much anything else in Uganda, Range Land Safaris offers it.
From transportation, food, lodging, and everything in between Range Land Safaris arranged every detail for us. They customized our trip based on our preferences and time schedule. For transportation the company uses extended Land Cruisers. I usually get sick on long drives, but the drive was so comfortable and we had so much room, that within 16 hours on the road I never felt sick. For the gorilla trek, Range Land Safaris booked us a room at Rushaga Gorilla Havens Lodge. The rooms had an incredible view, the food was great, and the staff was so kind.
The best thing about booking with Range Land Safaris was having a local expert in the country in case anything changed or went wrong. We found out just how helpful this was before we even landed in Uganda. At the last minute our flights were canceled and the only flight we could book was at 2:00am. But our guide Ronald was there, waiting at the airport to pick us up and take us to our hotel. He helped arrange our covid tests and other details that would have taken us forever to figure out! We highly recommend booking with Range Land Safaris!

My husband and I worked on a custom tour and was cheerily greeted at the Uganda border (coming in from Kigali, Rwanda) by Geoffrey. From the moment we met him, we felt at ease and grateful.
He got a call on his phone (about our travels) and pulled over the 4x4 to take it (safety first!) and then we picked up Elizabeth from the Little Angels orphanage he coordinated a visit to for us. From there to market, the orphanage, and then to our lodge.
Geoffrey made sure to keep us hydrated and fed, and he shared plentiful information about locals living in the region and cultural norms as we drove across the country from Kibale to Entebbe.
We’d be happy to book with this company again and are especially grateful for our time with Geoffrey. He really made our visit to the country special.

The lodge was beautiful and the food was excellent. A staff member, Frank Turahaki, took us for an unscheduled walk from the lodge to see the local birds and monkeys. Frank has a good eye and is very knowledgeable about the birds and the flora and fauna. All of the staff were friendly and provided service beyond our expectations!

I was visiting with my daughter and her family in Kampala. She made arrangements for her two teenage daughters, and the two of us to do a gorilla trek in Bwindi National Forest. We stayed at 4 Gorilla Lodge. It was a lovely experience. Beautiful views, very comfortable accommodations, a very helpful and personable staff, including a wonderful chef. Lots of warm touches; hot water bottles ready with bed turn down, a welcoming message on each bed made of flowers and stems, refreshing juices awaiting our return with hot towels and help to remove our muddy boots and wash them, popcorn always ready, as was hot beverages. The staff was stupendous!
We all had a wonderful, positive experience.
We highly recommend the 4 Gorilla Lodge.
