      Definitely worth booking a tour
Jani and Veronika were fantastic. We spent a couple of days with them. The first day was the hike and fly. A beautiful hike with lots of interesting local information along the way. The flight was a really good length and you felt in safe hands as you flew over the beautiful valley and forest. The evening they had organised dinner at a local farmhouse, delicious food and wine in a stunning location. The second day was a visit to a local cave and then up to Lake Bohinj. Both really well organised and great to see different parts of Slovenia.

      Fantastic Solo Tour Experience
Because I was traveling alone in October (off-season), Wajdusna did not have a tour running that I could join. Jani was kind enough to arrange a self-guided tour for me instead! He met me at the shop for the bike rental (a great e-bike), provided the route, coordinated a wine tasting and was accessible via WhatsApp in case I had any questions during the self-guided tour. The route was beautiful, the winery was excellent and I had an absolutely fantastic time. Thank you, Jani, for providing a thoughtful, creative and affordable alternative during the off-season!

      Paragliding
Anyone thinkng of having a go at Para gliding, i can not recomend this enough, Miha is super friendly, and really puts your mind at ease, no one in our group was at all worried. It really is a life changing moment, every one must try it, and what better place to do it! I could have done it another 20 times and not gotten bored. Thanks again Miha, i will be back! Tim

      cycling tour Vipava valley
Did a wonderful tour together with my 13 year old daughter under the guidance of Jani, who was super friendly, knew a lot about the valley and took us places where we never would have gotten ourselves. We spent an absolutely marvellous afternoon in the beautiful Vipavska dolina. Highly recommended!!

I had a truly wonderful weekend thanks to the super guiding and hospitality of Jani. He really cares about the experience of his clients and being a local he knows and loves the beautiful part of Slovenia he calls home. I would not hesitate to recommend Wajdusna and hope to return for more exciting Slovenian adventures.

Jani's Vipava Valley tour is fantastic. Really enjoyed it!
Jani is a great host. The restaurants he took us to were all great. He was very accommodating when the weather wasn't good enough for paragliding and took us to some great sites. Would highly recommend to anyone. The paragliding instructors are really knowledgeable - felt safe throughout. Really good experience.

      Once in a lifetime experience
The hike gives you stunning panoramas of Slovenia all the way to the coastline, led by Jani who along the way talks enthusiastically to you about Slovenian life, the history of the valley and and other key sites to see in th area. The paragliding pilots are experienced, welcoming and great fun. Ensuring that you have a complete and unrushed day to really take it all in. Finishing with a refreshing local beer and a chat - absolutely unmissable!

      Fantastic Trip
Spent a few days hiking, swimming and paragliding with Jani and couldn't have asked for a better guide. He worked really hard to make sure everyone in the group had a good time and his knowledge of all aspects of his country and culture were nothing short of amazing. He was so enthusiastic, and clearly loves showing people around his beautiful country. We can't recommend him highly enough

      Hiking, dining, flying- all spectacular
Jani was wonderful! We went hiking along clifftops and through wildflower meadows, paragliding with excellent instructors, eating and winetasting- all of it brilliant, and with the best guide! He is passionate about the area, interesting, and flexible with his time to make sure we packed in as much as possible- I couldn’t recommend his company more highly.

Amazing Paragliding Experience! Definitely Pick Wajdusna!
From booking to the incredible flight I had, my experience was great, and I would 100% recommend someone to do an outing with them. Jani was really great about communicating with me from booking, to checking in with a weather report the day prior, to asking how everything was that evening after my flight. His communication ahead of the trip really gave me confidence that everything was going to go smoothly, and it's always nice to encounter a business that still has that personal touch. Not only was the flight amazingly beautiful and so cool, but I also felt very safe with the flight instructor, who was a consummate professional and answered all my questions about paragliding before, during, and after the flight. He even gave me recommendations for other things to visit during the rest of my time in Slovenia. Thank you Jani and Miha for a great experience!

      Informative, fun and tasty!
Jani was fantastic, we learned a lot about Slovenia both history and present. He was incredibly acoomodating, funny and picked 2 perfect yet different vineyards. He arranged for the owners to hold a private tasting for the two of us. Jani is the perfect guide, next time we're going cycling with him.

My husband and I had a brilliant time with Jani, exploring the beautiful scenery of the Vipava valley on e-bikes and ending our tour at the wonderful Petric Urban winery. Jani was a fantastic guide, not only telling us lots of interesting info about the area but also answering all our questions and telling us about his life in Slovenia which we loved! The wine tasting experience was excellent and a great moment to meet others enjoying the area. 100% would recommend Wajdusna for a tour - really personal, interesting and lots of fun!! Thanks Jani!

Went to Vipava valley for a cycling trip with my girlfriend and rented a bike at Wajdusna. I got a totally new mountainbike definitely worth the money.
Owner of the place was extremely nice and friendly. He recommended us a beautiful 35km route worth seeing. And he was available on the phone all the time.
If I need a bike rental or a tour guide in Vipava valley again, I am definitely going with Wajdušna.

We did a day tour to the Vipava Valley while visiting Ljubljana. The tour was a wine and agro-farm tour. We visited a farm that made its own charcuterie (including amazing prosciutto) and wine. We tasted the food and wine while sitting outdoors under a canopy of grape vines. Everything was fabulous. We then headed to another family owned location where one brother was the wine maker and the other was the cook. The ingredients for the dishes were fresh from their farm. We had 5 amazing courses with 5 amazing wines. I can't tell you how good the food was and how perfectly the wines were paired with the food. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed a beautiful day. After the meal, we were able to go downstairs to see the wine cellar and try wine from the vats. The day was just perfect. I don't think a trip to the area is complete if you don't do this tour. I really felt like a local for a day.

Jani and Simon were brilliant hosts. We spent a few days with them touring the local area, hiking and paragliding. They organised some excellent wine tours for us in addition. And the paragliding experience over the valley was a particular highlight.

Some friends recommend me to join the foody tours organized by Wajdusna. Since I live in Slovenia, I was not sure whether I need a guide to experience local food, but I am glad that my mindset did not stopped me from joining the tour. What a great experience!

Jani is a sweet guide, with a lot of knowledge and the whole day was just perfect!
I especially enjoyed the active participation during the tour - I picked up fresh courgettes and made my own courgette carpaccio with local prosciutto and spices. And there is a winery in Vipava valley called Miška, where we made a local desert called Miške:). Simple and delicious! Not to forget about all the great wines matching with the food. Totally recommended!

I am glad you enjoyed our foodie tour! Luckily, you have visited us at the best time of the year for this kind of food. Fresh ingredients are essential for our local dishes and that is what makes them all so tasty and healthy. Though, we have prepared something special also for the winter time! :) Thank you for this lovely review! Hope to see you soon here in Vipava Valley again.

This was hands down the most special experience of our 8 days in Slovenia and Croatia (which is saying something, because everything about this trip was superb). Originally we had hoped to go paragliding, but the weather wasn’t in our favor- gorgeous and sunny, but the wind wasn’t right. This company will not compromise safety, so we really appreciated that they suggested that we hike instead. And hike we did! 4 plus miles, with the wonderful Jani, up on the mountain, with the most beautiful views you’ve ever seen. We instantly loved Jani, and spending 6 hours with him between the hike and the wine tasting was time well spent- we were sad to say goodbye at the end. The wine tasting was the most fun one I’ve ever had (see my review for Petrič winery), and we were glad that Jani could join us for this portion of the experience as well. Every part of our day felt like a real local experience- so nice to get off the main tourist drag and see the natural beauty of Slovenia up close. Do yourself a favor and put a Wajdušna tour on your list. We are talking about coming back to this part of the world, and returning to this very valley to get to paraglide!

We did the hike and fly followed by a wine tasting and it was just amazing. Normally we would have done it a day later but the weather predictions were not that great so they kept us up to date at all time to arrange the whole activity another day. The day itself we had a lovely hike with Jani (who is really nice) after which we did the paragliding. One of us had some difficulties with the lift of and had to wait a bit but they kept us up to date and made sure safety was first! They even made arrangements that we could still go wine tasting, even though we were running more than 2 hours late. Simon who was accompanying us to the wine tasting was lovely as well and gave us great tips for the next few days. We are only positive about the whole experience! They did an amazing job!

My friend and I were visiting Slovenia near Ajdovscina. Matej arranged for a traditional Local lunch of four courses and several local wines. Matej's restaurant was beautiful and the food was very interesting and equsisite. It was a very special experience. We then met Jani and rode bicycles to two different local wineries for more wine and more local snacks. We met the actual wine makers and tasted in their cellars. The wine and wine makers were both just fantastic. Jani carefully selected the wineries (of which there are 100+ in the valley) to maximize our experience. Jani is a wonderful guide. He knows so much about the region and helped us learn about what a very special place the Vipava valley is. I absolutely recommend. A highlight of our trip.

This bike and wine experience was one of the greatest highlights of our trip to Italy and Slovenia. Our guide, Jani, was welcoming, kind, and incredibly empathetic to the needs of ALL our group members, especially the least skilled bikers (such as me!). We stopped to discover the history of various places on the way, expertly by Jani, and when the hills got a bit tough, he was an exceptionally helpful instructor regarding gear shifts and never let any of us fall too far behind. The tour can be customized. Jani can adjust the experience for any group from the least experienced to the most hardcore cycling enthusiasts. He really knows his way around and has so many interesting stories to tell about the local geographical and political history. Oh, and Jani also used a GoPro to take photos and videos of all of us at different points on the tour, and he shared all of these with us the same day. At the end of the biking, we stopped for an exceptional wine tasting at Petric Winery in Vipava during which we also tasted the most scrumptious, locally sourced meats and cheese, and enjoyed a rich conversation about winemaking among many other topics! What a joyful day and we hope to return soon!
