- Rachel R0 contributionsLoved Bagan! This was a great trip. My guide was very knowledgeable about the past and current history. It’s a troubling time to be in Myanmar and hear the stories first hand, but it impacts the trip that much more. Highly recommend a stop in Bagan with a guide to make the most of it.Written January 3, 2023
- bikerbabe220 contributionsAn incredibly enriching experience!I had the pleasure of a private tour with my guide Myo and his driver Mister Tay. We really covered a lot of amazing places including numerous temples and payas, a delicious lunch stop, a visit to a lacquer workshop, and finally a view of a gorgeous sunset from high on a hill. I was very impressed with Myo’s in-depth knowledge of the many types of payas and Buddha statues. I had no idea that there were so many varieties of temples, payas, and Buddha statues. I really had a great lesson in history in Myanmar. I would most definitely recommend this tour!Written April 11, 2020

- Keith1500 contributionsFloat, float On.A real highlight of our trip around Myanmar. There are 3122 Temples & Pagodas in Bagan and there is no better way of seeing a high proportion of them, whilst floating in a hot air balloon @ sunrise. Not the cheapest experience in Myanmar but certainly one of the best. Not to be missed.Written March 8, 2020
- McPato0 contributionsVery happy costumers!Mr. Myan Moe was our tour guide. It was exceptional! Very detail oriented regarding our every need. He gives you the exact information, so that you get the picture but does not overwhelm you. He even helps you tale the best pictures and knows the best spots. He was kind enough to introduce us to local culture such as a novice monk initiation. We will cherish that moment always. We liked it so much that we asked him for a second day tour to Mount Popa. The tour that Mr. Myan Moe gave us made the whole Bagan experience unforgettable. Myan Moe: thank you very much! We really appreciated your time and effort! Definitely will recommend to people who travel to Bagan; and will repeat if we ever come back. Kyei zu tin ba de!Written March 8, 2020

- 2018Traumreisende0 contributionsFantastic private tourWe had contacted Aung Zay to plan our individual three-day sightseeing tour in Mandalay and Bagan with him. Aung Zay organized a wonderful private tour for us at a very good price. He took care of all our interests and requests and always answered our questions promptly. Our guides in Mandalay, Yan Naing Moe, and in Bagan, Myo Min Thu, were fantastic. They are very committed, speak excellent English and gave us a vivid insight into the culture, history and religion of their country. They are absolutely reliable and trustworthy, have excellent knowledge and gave us interesting insights into the everyday life of the Burmese people. Our three-day tour with Old Bagan Tour was one of our best trips we ever made.Written February 25, 2020

- BrianSZSG0 contributionsExcellent guide and tourWe were in Bagan over Christmas last year (2019) and we had 2 days of private tours with Aung Zay. We travel fairly extensively, and have to say that Aung Zay is the best personal guide we've ever had. He is knowledgable about the sites, passionate about history and curated the visits well. Crucially, he was very thoughtful and sensitive to our priorities. Noticing we took our time to take photos, he accommodated our pace, and also offered to take numerous photos of us. His photography skills are excellent, and he also knew the exact spots from which scenic vistas and angles could be captured. Highly recommended.Written February 21, 2020
- Grace K0 contributionsGreat TourWe had a great tour in Bagan with Old Bagan tour. Aung Zay has done a great job, everything was well organized from picking us from the airport. Very detailed explanation about the history of Bagan, he knew all the best sports for photos. He arranged the hot air balloon ride for us which also included many complimentary sites, one of them was the culture show inside the palace. We enjoyed very much. Thank you for the best tips and arrangement. We highly recommended Aung Zay as your tour guide.Written February 19, 2020

- GregoryPick0 contributionsWonderful guide for family tripWe - my wife, two daughters (aged 15 and 18) and I - have just returned from Myanmar. The highlight of the entire trip was the full day we spent in Bagan. After a balloon ride (which was wonderful and worth the investment) we met Aung Zay for a tour of the historical and archaeological sites. To begin with, Aung Zay is passionate and informed about what he is describing. He knows the material thoroughly and can convey it exceptionally well in English. In addition, he is genuinely warm and personable. He remembered everyone's name and there day was just an easy conversation. Aung Day is also a talented photographer and we now have some great family shots and landscapes we would not have had without him. The girls even have some fun instagram photos based on his recommendations and skill with their iPhones. Let him help you. Finally, it is worth mentioning that making the arrangements were easy and professional. Everything worked very well. I am very happy to recommend Aung Zay.Written January 24, 2020

We managed to book a biking trip with Aung Zay one day before after reading so many good reviews about him. Aung Zay spoke good English and he carries his own sense of humour - when he explained to us the difference between the early and later styles of Buddha. He was not rushing the trip through as my friend and I are both novice cyclists and the sandy roads posed a tiny bit of challenge for us haha; he chose the easy roads for us but still passed by the amazing sites. Aung Zay did a great job explaining Buddhism and temples to us. His recommendation for lunch was top notch! It was local, authentic, and very yummy! I have tried some other places for local food during this trip but the mutton curry from that place is simply the best. Aung Zay is very passionate about photography, he’s very familiar with every nuanced techniques, my friend and I were really impressed. We would definitely recommend him to anyone who’s interested in riding a bike around old Bagan to see the great views, to learn something about Buddhism and Myanmar, and to have gorgeous photos taken.

This is advertised as a half day bike ride, then says it’s 5 hours, then says finish at sunset which implies more than 5 hour day. Could someone please clarify the time/length of day please. Thank you.
