Bagan (also called Pagan), a dream destination in Myanmar for many foreign visitors, is a site where there are 2000 pagodas and temples and many of those date back 1500 years. This is a fascinating place for travelers.
Your half-day trip will start at your hotel in Bagan, drive to Mount Popa (45 km and take us 1.5 hour), to see an extinct volcano with spectacular views and the birth place of the Myanmar ‘Nats’ or spirits.
Its shrine is dedicated to animist spirits known as ‘nats’ and you will have opportunity to climb the 777 steps to the shrine at the top of the peak. Return to Bagan and stop at a local village and a palm plantation. Trip ends at your hotel in Bagan. Lunch is excluded.
