- andrew_dav850 contributionsMarangu to Mandara HikeMy wife and I had an amazing time on this Kilimanjaro day hike. We were picked up by our driver, Nick, in the morning and transported through Moshi Town and the Chagga Villiage. Nick was very friendly and knowledgeable about the region and pointed out some highlights along the way. At Marangu gate we met our guide Gilbert. After some quick photos and registration we began our hike. Gilbert was fantastic and we felt very safe and comfortable with him as our guide. The hike to the Mandara Huts is easily the most beautiful hike I’ve ever been on. Nothing better than hiking through a lush, green atmosphere! The hike itself is moderate. The last hour of the hike is a bit different but if you’re in decent shape you’ll be fine. I can’t say enough great things about Nick and Gilbert. They’re awesome. We will hopefully return to Tanzania in the future!Written September 19, 2024
- craighE2418BK0 contributionsGreat way to see the waterfall and experience a local villageThanks Nick for a great tour. We ground and made our own coffee the way the local do it, before getting to drink it. After hiking up to the waterfront and back we were treated to a tasty lunch. This felt like an authentic experience and contributes to the local people. No pressure. Nothing was rushed. A great day.Written August 21, 2024
- 289francescak0 contributionsAmazing Kilimanjaro day trip experienceMy guide Ramadhan and I set off to Mandara Hut. I'm so glad I booked with Nick and Moshi Tours and transfer as we saw the peaks because we went a bit further than Mandara hut and went to the crater where you could see the peaks. On the way back down from the crater we saw another group who were finishing at Mandara Hut and they were disappointed they couldn't see the peaks, whereas we had lunch there and spent time in the crater. I'm glad I did this tour because I want to climb the mountain and this gave me a lot of confidence to return next year. We saw monkeys, the Tanzanian national flower which is only found in the Kilimanjaro region and it was a great day one I won't forget so thanks to Ramadhan, Nelson and NickWritten April 3, 2024

I saw elephants, lions, giraffes ostriches, warthogs it was like the Lion King came to life. Lunch was delicious. The experience was amazing, Nick was great at organising and Timothy my guide was exceptional. I will only book with these guys when I'm next in Tanzania.Written April 3, 2024
- 332kathrynn0 contributionsProfessional and highly recommended BusinessNick with Moshi Tours & Transfer is a highly professional, kind, and considerate business owner who provided great service to my daughter and I as we travelled througout Tanzania on Safari, hiking Kilimanjaro, and general transfers. His team was on time, efficient, and had a strong skill-set in educating us about Tanzania and Mt. KIlimanjaro. I highly recomment Nick and and his team. When I travel again to Tanzania, Nick will be my go-to guy!Written January 27, 2024
- 332kathrynn0 contributionsIncrediable Day Hike on KilmanjaroHiking for the day on Kilimanjaro was an incredible experience. It was beautiful, a good challenge, and my guied was super! Starting with a direct transfer from my hotel, to getting our hiking passes, hiking pole, and lunch; everything was well planned out, on time, and smooth. Nick's team is highly professional and courteous. My guide was well-versed in English, history of Kilimanjaro, wildlife, and plants. He was super at pointing out plantlife to me and naming everything not just in English but also Latin. Very intelligent and personable young man. I felt secure and trusted him to keep me safe througout the entire hike.Written January 27, 2024
- Solo34750 contributionsMoshi Tours and TransfersI booked 3 tours with Nick,(separately reviewed). A 5 star man and 5 star tour company. Asante Sana Nick, rafiki yanguWritten September 7, 2023
- Solo34750 contributionsCoffee culture with great waterfall view.A big thanks to Nick and guide OZ for making this tour memorable. We first stopped off at a village in the foothills where the locals grow their own coffee shrubs. The process from berry to cup was shown along with singing and dancing. Then we hiked up to the waterfall listening to Africa by Toto and Queens Bohemian Rhapsody( Freddie Mercury was of course born in Zanzibar). Then back to the village for a traditional lunch with Banana beer. Nick and his partners go the extra mile to make sure you have a special experience to remember. I started out as a customer and left Tanzania with Nick as good friend for life.Written September 7, 2023
- Solo34750 contributionsA Fantastic Day OutNick and guide Ramadahn made sure that everything ran smoothly. A moderately challenging hike(I'm 64 but found the going ok) but Ramadahn made sure to set a reasonable pace. A small backpack, lightweight hiking shoes and jacket are ample things to bring. Water and lunch are provided. Unfortunately due to cloud cover Kilimanjaro was not visible but that's out of Nick's control and did not spoil what was a great day out.Written September 7, 2023
- Solo34750 contributionsTransfer To MoshiOn arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport Nick was outside waiting for me. Nick is a great, safe driver and has a great knowledge about everything Tanzania has to offer. Highly recommended.Written September 7, 2023
- Solo34750 contributionsA Fantastic Day OutNick and Nick made sure that my day out was a special occasion. They met me the night before at my hotel for an in depth briefing(over a beer of course) on what to wear and what to expect. The day itself was even better than expected. The highlight being watching a pair of mating lions!! Lots of elephants, zebras and giraffes. Not forgetting the prey animals, wildebeests, gazelle etc. I would highly recommend this Tour with Nick. Asante Sana.Written September 7, 2023
- D3849BXmonikaj0 contributionsIf you have some time in Moshi, do this! This was amazing, the walk, the views and if you love coffee, you must do this trip. We learned also a lot about the people and plants there, and lunch was great!Written August 30, 2023
- Wander411387801110 contributionsVery reliable and trustworthy transportationI was very satisfied with Nick's service. He answered all questions leading up hike, picked us up right on time and provided an experienced guide for our trek. Nick also provided transportation from our hotel to the airport for a very reasonable price. I had an early check-out at our Moshi hotel and a lot of time to kill before my flight home so Nick picked me up in the morning, took me to several local art stores and dropped me off at the airport for my 9:20pm flight. I highly recommend using Moshi Tours and Transfer for your special Kilimanjaro day hike and local transportation.Written August 27, 2023
