My boyfriend and I went on a 2 days safari in Mikumi National Park. The drive through the park was absolutely wonderful. We were able to see lions, zebras, giraffes, impalas, buffalos, elephants and many more. The organization was impeccable. The driver was really nice and gave us interesting info during the visit. Everything went smooth. Definitely recommended if you go to Tanzania.

Shungu arranged the best experience for both of us. He put together a perfect team of experienced people who made my and cousin feel like family. Each and every one went above and beyond. I can’t thank enough for their hospitality. Don’t go though anyone else, Shungu is the man. Great communication and warmth. Blessings to the most life changing experience

Team was amazing, ensured we were safe, gave plenty of washing and drinking water and the food/chef was pleasantly surprising, much better than some local restaurants! Everyone was easy to work with and they do things properly in the right way. They moved at our pace and also helped when I got sick due to the altitude, and ensured we still hit the summit. Cannot recommend enough. Asante sana brothers.

Amazing Experience! We are really proud to have done this trip, and we could not have done it without our amazing crew. With our guide, assistant guide, cook and 5 carriers we felt very well taken care of:) All of the crew members were more than nice and we learnt a lot from our two amazing guides. The tour was absolutely amazing! Thanks to Shungu everything was taken care of. We had a great guide, who could answer our questions thouroughly and knew a lot about all the animals we saw. The campsite was beautiful and we had the most wonderful cook, Mositi, who prepared amazing tansanian food after a long day of unbelievable experiences! I already made the mount Kilimandscharo with Shungus team and that was already a great experience. But this time it was unbelievable, we made Kenia, Tansania und Uganda. Shungu took care about everything. He even welcomed us at the boarder of Tansania. The hole trip was amazing and we didn’t had the feeling that we missed anything. Everything what we expected, was included. And our highlight was definitely the great migration 🤩 We can definitely recommend Shungu, not only for the Kilimandscharo 😊 Thanks Shungu for the amazing experience and hopefully see you soon.

The Kili trekking was very well & safely organized; our guides were most attentive and were clearly experienced so we felt we were in safe hands. The entire crew was amazing, the chef cooked the most delicious food each day and all the porters were super friendly. It was a great experience and we could not have wished for a better crew.

My husband and I had the most amazing time, Shungu organized a great itinerary and John was great in finding out our interests and making sure they were taken into account as we travelled round.

We were a group of 10 italian friends, actually living in Tanzania. We found Kilimanjaro Safari Experience thought personal contats and we are really happy of our choice. We all got the top and we all really enjoy this wonderful experience! The team was exaordinary, 4 very good guides, 2 chefs and a lot of portors, everyone was very competent, supportive and we really make fun and enojed together! It was a joy to share this wanderful and unforgettabile experience with such good and nice people.

Wow!, these falls are really stunning because it is a great hike and a great place to connect with nature. This place surprised me very much the views are perfect and swimming under the falls is a really nice activity. The water is really cold but if you're up to it it's great! This is usually part of a day trip where after the hike you get to try local stuff like homemade coffee from nearby coffee plantations and banana beer. I would highly recommend making it a day trip to the falls.

Like many others have said, Shungu is fantastic. I have been in almost contact with him for over 3 years since our original tour was postponed by us then COVID hit and has been forced to be rescheduled twice since. Having done Kilimanjaro before with a big agency, this time I chose Shungu as a local operator with competitive pricing (25% cheaper than the equivalent tour I did in 2017 and almost £1000 cheaper per person than their 2022 prices) I requested the 7 day Machame Route instead of my original 6 day itinerary and put together a bespoke safari with Shungu's help for our second week visiting Tarangire, Lake Eyasi, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. I left accommodation choices to Shungu and we couldn't be happier with his choices. Like others have said, Shungu has surrounded himself with a fantastic team of Porters and Guides on the mountain, many of whom he has known most of his life. A couple of medial emergencies on the mountain kept the team on their toes and they acted professionally and swiftly in challenging conditions. I'm not exaggerating when I say the altitude was the cause of my sister's life threatening condition but Hilary and his team got her to safety and in doing so saved her life from an undiagnosed condition. We will forever be grateful to them and now count them as friends. I thought my guides and porters on my original trip were fantastic but Shungu's team truly go above and beyond to help you achieve your goal. Thank you to Hilary, Peter, Sadiki, Jomo, Machede (sorry if the spelling is wrong) and everyone else. We couldn't have got as far without you. Daniel our guide/driver/animal spotter for the safari is equally fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble for him including driving us over 1500km in 6 days. We wouldn't have seen a fraction of the area without him. If you are looking at Kilimanjaro and/or a safari Shungu and his amazing team will make sure you achieve everything you set out to do. We are planning a return safari trip to take in more areas in the future and will absolutely be using Shungu again.
