After we leave Moshi, we will use the road which passes through TPC farms which has very beautiful scenery. Along the way, there are villages which you can get a chance to see local life around.

          Great experience!
I booked the trip via the Union Cafe, as I found it in Lonely Planet (I'm travelling solo btw). The pictures here show basically exactly what you get. A hike through beautiful nature over a small clay path to the waterfall, after which you end up in the village. There, I got some small explanation about the coffee and we went through the entire process of going from a dried bean to a delicious cup of coffee. For me, this was the best part, with handling the mortar and pestle myself, accompanied by african singing. After, I got a big lunch (together with the local guys who I also had a nice chat with) and tasted some local banana beer. Of course, I also bought a bag if coffee for them. All in all, a great recommendation!

Peter was so great to deal with. He is very professional and reliable. We had an amazing time. The guide was extremely knowledgable and patient and seemed to really love his job. The accommodation was beautiful and food was also very good.

          Kili hike
Planning my Kilimanjaro Machame Route hiking trip through Peter was a good choice. Their attention to detail and professionalism ensured a seamless experience from start to finish. The guide and all other were knowledgeable, supportive, making me feel confident throughout the journey. Thanks to Peter my Kilimanjaro adventure exceeded all expectations, and I can't wait to plan my next trek with them."

          Outstanding!
I happened upon Tarry Adventures and Safaris when I booked my Moshi accomodation at Karibu Africa Home. Peter, the host, shared that they also organized activities and tours. I was instantly interested in the waterfall & coffee and hot springs tour and when I asked for more information, Peter gladly shared it. He was so helpful and responsive to my questions and concerns. John was my guide for the waterfall & coffee tour. He was great! He drove me to and fro and took his time to point out some native plants and shared their cultural significance to the Chagga people. The weather was perfect for the hike to the waterfall and back. He was also willing to take photos. The lunch was provided at a local Chagga homestead, I loved trying out their food. Lunch was followed by the coffee tour provided by local guides. It was amazing to see how the Chagga process their organically grown coffee without machines. It was interactive and I enjoyed the communal singing! Throughout the day, I did not feel rushed at all and even learned some new Swahili words from John. The hot spring tour was so much fun! The drive there was such an adventure, plus it allowed me to see a part of the region that is flat and dry. It was so serene and relaxing! When I'm ready for the Kilimanjaro climb, I'll undoubtedly book it with Peter and his team at Tarry, and stay at his homestay, Karibu Africa Home, again!

Climbing Kilimanjaro was truly an extraordinary experience! Everything was so well organized and my team of porters, waiter, cook and guide took such good care of me to make it to the peak. We had a great time together!

          A Wonderful Day In Moshi!
The tour was amazing! My guide John was very kind, friendly and great to spend the day with! He was knowledgeable and shared a load of information about the waterfalls, plants, fruits and all kind of aspects of the jungle surrounding Materuni Waterfall. I really enjoyed the coffee tour, the experience of cultivating and creating my own coffee with the group was something I'll never forget! Go coffee Boys 😅 The lunch and food amazing, the waterfall was epic and due to the rains during this time of year, it was going off! I got to meet the owner of Tarry, Peter and spent some time speaking to both John and Peter after the tour. Both are very amazing individuals 👏 This is definitely a tour company I suggest people to book with! Their kindness, knowledge, hospitality and overall enjoyment of their work speaks volumes. THANK YOU for making my time in Moshi so memorable! The have a great little shop called Mama Africa Gift shop too - check it out if you get the chance!

A really great pain session including cocktails and dinner
The pain session is so great!!! The host is so lovely and everything she do (cocktails, food and so on) is so delicious and made with love. You get snacks during the pain session and three cocktails during the evening and a really good dinner. We did it twice and I always would do it again. A really great experience.

          Fun and relaxing
We had such a great time at the Sip n paint-class! I am absolutely no artist, but with the good instructions even i managed to make a nice painting. And while sipping delicious cocktails! Bonfire and the candlelight dinner afterwards were the perfect way to finish up the evening.

Amazing experience you have to do!
I loved the painting class! I’ve been there twice now during my stay here and both times I had an amazing evening !:) The host decorated everything so nicely and put a lot of love and effort in her house and the evening. The food was outstanding and I can certain than she will fulfill all your wishes and needs! It was a friends birthday and the host even prepared a little present and a cake for her. After painting and eating you can stay for karaoke or a nice evening at the bonfire. I would do it again any time! Asante sana:)

The perfect way to explore the forest
It was a really nice way to explore the forest, the old train station and parts of the town Moshi. My guide Eli was very kind, he told me a lot about the forest, the animals which are living there and was very open to all my questions. If you like to ride a bike, this is the perfect way to explore.

          The best evening in Moshi
If you’re looking for a chilled evening where you can immerse yourself in local culture then this sip and paint class is definitely the place to be. Dee was the most amazing host and cooked the most delicious food I had during my entire stay in Moshi. The artist was great, guiding us through our paintings, and we all created beautiful pieces of art. When I return to Moshi, I will definitely be coming back here!!

I had an amazing day hike in the Kilimanjaro national park, and Peter was definitely key in making my day so pleasant. The communication was east and fluid. And everything, from the excellent and experienced guide to the lunch box were very well curated. I will definitely use them for any other activities and recommend them to anyone in the area wishing to have a good experience exploring the wonders of the region.

I can really recommend going to Chemka Hotsprings with Tarry Adventure. It is my third time in Moshi and I have been to Chemka Hotsprings many times, but this trip was special. Peter is a really good guide, he is friendly and professional and he takes good care of his guests. Lunch is included in the price and it was really nice to eat lunch at the hotsprings.

But overall, it was a really good day and I will definitely go to Chemka Hotsprings with Peter again.

Very nice experience, with not too many people, but still enough to give good vibes. The trip was worth every dollar, considering the roadtrip there, the fantastic driver and the food we were served afterwards. The perfect destination for 1/2 a day trip, and I would definitely recommended Tarry’s Adventures chemka hotsprings for all who visit Moshi and the surrounding area. Peter who owns the company is super friendly and helpsome if needed - bravo!

It's an hour and a half drive from Moshi town. The second half of the drive is through unpaved roads. As our driver said "get ready for African massage". The hot springs is not hot at all. The water seems to be coming through underground from Kilimanjaro. The pool/spring is quite deep. Most people use the tubes that's readily available (for a price). If one has a day to relax, this is a good place. An hour to 90 minutes is sufficient.

I had a day to kill in Moshi before I met my group for trekking to Kilimanjaro. I booked this day trip and can't recommend it enough. I was traveling alone and felt completely safe and comfortable with Peter the guide and the driver. Peter spoke excellent English and felt like a friend by the end of the day. I was picked up on time and traveled the ~75 minutes to the hot springs. NOTE - the road as you near the hot springs is the BUMPIEST road I've ever been on. We were on it for 40+ minutes, so be aware it's not fun. Once we arrived we went in and were greeted by a man named Becker who offered to swim and take videos/pics of me on my iPhone. He was a great swimmer and never once got my phone wet. I had a blast exploring the hot spring and jumped from the rope swing in the trees several times. The water is extremely clear and while it's not "hot", it's a delightful temperature. Peter sat with my bags the whole time I swam with Becker. Make sure you bring good sandals to navigate the rocks as you enter the water. Bring a towel, shillings for tipping, and sunscreen. The bathroom is a Tanzanian toilet, so basically a hole in the floor. It was disgusting and I just "held it." The lunch provided was just okay, but I'm not the biggest fan of Tanzanian food. There was a large variety to choose on the menu. Bumpy ride back, and I arrived at my hotel on time, relaxed and refreshed.

I stayed in Moshi with Peter back in January and I had the best experience climbing Kilimanjaro, visiting the area and doing a 3 day Safari. Peter was so helpful organising everything for us. Showed us around, took us to the amazing hot springs, helped us find accommodations and even introduced us to some of his friends and family. I feel that the experience was so much better with his hep and all the tours that he organised for us were excellent.

Very nice experience! The hot springs are refreshing, the water is amazing clear and it was lot of fun to jump into the water with the rope. All in all a very nice and relaxing half day trip with delicious food. Peter speaks very good english, has always jokes in store and is a great person. Only the price is high, especially for low budget backpacker. But I recommend this trip!

I had the best day at the hot springs. Peter was a great guide. He was really knowledgeable about the local area and could answer any questions we had. He also stayed out of the water whilst we went in so we could relax knowing our belongings were safe. I would definitely recommend booking with this company.
