After friends had told us about their Kili trek we got hooked on the idea of our own trip to Tanzania to climb that famous mountain. The guide of the trek we had been told about also had taken the bold step to create his own company - Kili Land Adventures. So we decided to seize the opportunity and contacted Kili Land Adventures about our tour. Their planning efforts started immediately and we were presented with a tour plan (Lemosho route) that we felt was very sensible and tailored to our abilities. A packing list was provided and many more details via email. The trip itself was very much at stake during the Covid-19 times, but in the end we could travel to Tanzania using Qatar Airways. Our hike onto Mount Kili was an unforgettable experience. Our crew of guides, porters and one cook were the kindest and most supportive people imaginable. They cared for us very, very well; they judged our progress on the mountain and proposed favorable modifications to the tour plan to optimize our use of time and to ensure good progress on our way to the summit. In the end we had some "difficulties" only on the summit day (which was to be expected), but all the other days went very smoothly thanks to the crew's diligent planning of our acclimatization. And finally, we made it to the summit, all four of us, just as planned! It was difficult (I won't lie about that!), but in the end we felt safe and confident, throughout the summit day. The guides were very generous in answering all of our (many!) questions and patiently waited for us to take hundreds of photos. I have the highest respect for the people of our crew, be it the guides or the porters, these guys are some of the toughest persons on this planet. Let me add that after our Kili trip we also went on to some days of safari (Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and Serengeti). Our safari driver-guide was suggested and hired for us also by Kili Land Adventures (although the guide does not work directly for them). This guide was extremely motivated, kind, and knowledgable, and therefore the whole safari was absolutely on par with our unforgettable Kili trip. So if you consider traveling to Tanzania, do yourself a favor and contact Kili Land Adventures to work out a plan for you. You will be a happy customer ...

I went on Kilimanjaro trek with my wife to Tanzania. It was truly incredible, mostly because of our awesome climbing crew. They professional, encouraging and helped us reach the summit safely. On the Marangu route you will go through different habitats and see some amazing sights. I suffered mild altitude sickness on the last leg and was helped by Daniel the chief guide. Accommodations tents were comfy given the conditions and the meals by cook Johnson excellent. Overall I am very satisfied with the service of the whole Kili Land Adventures crew

My dad and I had a very memorable experience trekking up Kilimanjaro using the 7 day Shira route. I read about the route online and saw that it has very good scenery, low traffic, but quite challenging as the climb starts at a high altitude and climbers can easily develop altitude sickness. I was worried that we would not reach the Uhuru peak if we used the route but we did through the great effort of the incredible crew from Kili Land Adventures. The guides were amazing. They took great care of my dad and me. Before the climb, they checked on our gear and even clothing. They wanted to ensure that we had many warm layers. The guides worked very closely with us. They constantly checked on our health status to ensure that none of us was getting sick. They led each one of us at comfortable paces. I loved the personalized care that the guides gave us. It was very cold on the mountain, especially at night however, did not feel the cold as the tent and sleeping bags kept us warm. The chef also provided us with bottles of hot water at night to keep us warm. The food that he cooked was also hot and it contributed to keeping us warm. I will definitely recommend Kili Land Adventures to all my climbing buddies.

For our 20th birthday our parents gifted my twin sister and I, with a 5 day safari to Northern Tanzania’s parks; Tarangire, Serengeti with Kili Land Adventures which was an incredible experience Our guide, Jacob, picked us up at the airport with two bouquets of flowers and souvenirs waiting for us in the car, courtesy of Kili Land Adventures. Jacob was excellent at his job and I could tell that he had many years of experience as a tour guide and driver. He constantly asked us if we were okay and enjoying ourselves. The safari was amazing because had a unique skill of predicting where the animals were and what they would be doing. I was impressed because he was right every single time. We were awed to see a pride of 15 lions that included several cubs. We also saw a leopard tortoise, all the big five and even a cheetah on an unsuccessful hunt in addition to the many other animals. He taught is about the whistling thorn acacia, the Serengeti plains, and the animals that we saw. We had an amazing time in Tanzania and we owe it to Kili Land Adventures, and Jacob.

Kili Land Adventures is a great travel company based in Tanzania. We chose Kili Land Adventures because it offered the best options for the climbing routes and had a group leaving on the dates we were interested in. We went with the 6 day Rongai route package that was priced at a very affordable rate. The day before the climb, we met our guides who briefed us on the Rongai route and gave us information on what to expect on the trek. My wife was a bit nervous because she has never gone mountain climbing before. The guides eased her worries and assured her. We met with the rest of the team on the day of the climb. In addition to the two guides, there were six porters, and one cook. The whole team was friendly and made us feel at ease. The porters and cook always went before us to prepare the next camp. We would arrive at the camp to find all tents pitched and lunch or dinner cooked. The food was very delicious and my wife loved it so much that she said she would come back to Tanzania just for the food. Summit day was the most challenging thing I have ever done. I was beginning to feel the effects of the high altitude, and it was dark and cold. However, we made it to the peak with the motivation and encouragement of our guides. The team would take us around the camps to see the various sceneries that were there. They were very helpful and took care of all our needs. I would recommend Kili Land Adventures to anyone thinking about going trekking on Kilimanjaro

We used Kili Land Adventures on our trip to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. The company assigned a wonderful team of tour guides who turned the trip into a memorable experience. The leader of the team was Alex assisted by John and Cosmas. This team of guides made the climb to the peak possible. They led us through the Lemosho route for a climb of 8 days. The climb was definitely challenging but we made it to the top because of the guides’ encouragement.. The team also taught us how to work as a team to ensure that everyone got to the peak of the mountain. We left the mountain having developed a strong sense of camaraderie. We learned to power through the hardest of situations and we achieved personal growth, something that only Kili Land Adventures can provide. The company made sure that everything we needed for the climb was provided for. We had really warm sleeping bags, safety gear, a lot of water, and finger licking food. The team of guides taught us very many things, including some of their beliefs and traditional activities. They taught us Swahili which we could speak with a little level of mastery after the 8 days. Dennis and his team are to thank for the wonderful memories we created, the growth we experienced, and the lessons we learnt. I advise anyone who is planning to go on a trip to use Kili Land Adventures, and Alex and his team for the experience of a lifetime climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro. I will, without a doubt, be using Kili Land Adventures in future for other excursions

Kili Land Adventures was absolutely fabulous in organizing our Mt Meru Trek. Daniel was our excellent contact person during the whole process; from the time we began planning our trek he sent us all the information we requested and much more. He was flexible to allow partial payment. He was there to pick us from the airport when we arrived and took us to our hotel. We later met with Christopher the lead guide for our trek. Mt Meru was not easy to climb but we had a good support crew of guides, porters and cook. They were were wonderful and much fun to be around ensuring that we were safe at all times. We are planning to come back next year for Kilimanjaro and I hope that we will get the same climbing crew to support us. Thank you Christopher, Daniel and the whole Kili Land team for the amazing trek!

The Kilimanjaro Lemosho route trek was fantastic. Kili land amazing staff were there to assist us from the moment we arrived to the time left Tanzania. Daniel had put together a wonderful itinerary and well organized trek with Alex and Chris as our wonderful guides, leading the team of great porters who carried our luggage, pitched our tents and kept us entertained with their nice local songs as we went up the mountain. Our cook was amazing too, he served us with great dishes, serving generous portions. I cannot forget the mugs of hot milky tea. These guys are highly experienced and know the mountain inside out. The 3 of us made it to the summit safely save for mild bouts of altitude sickness. I had an amazing time and my friends agree that this was an absolutely amazing experience.

I recently joined a group of other climbers on the Marangu route and it was a fabulous experience. Daniel was very helpful in the planning phase because he was always available to answer my questions and provide information because I was traveling solo. The climbing experience was absolutely awesome. I had a fantastic guide- Alex supporting me. He was always there for me and I felt that I was in safe hands. The Marangu route is a bit tougher with some steep inclinations as you get higher past the rain forest to the heath and moorland, the payoff are the amazing views. We had an awesome crew of porters and one cook who kept us well nourished all through. We all made it to the summit which is an amazing place to stand. You literally feel on top of the world as you watch the sun coming up from above the clouds. Kili Land Adventure is a great company that took me safely to the summit and back and I recommend it fully.

I met Daniel at my hotel in Moshi after my successful Kili Trek and we got talking. My flight out of Tanzania was leaving the next day at night so basically I had a free day day. He interested me to join a group that was going for a day trip to Chemka Hot Springs and I am glad that I did. The hot springs are a short drive from Moshi and are just amazing. Daniel had advised me to carry my swimming costume and I am glad that I did. Chemka is a natural swimming pool with sparkling blue water and when you dip inside the feeling of warm water is so refreshing. The water has natural salts that seep and dissolve all the fatigue as they cleanse the body. We had a lazy lunch and I went back to the spring, relaxed and enjoyed the wonderful feeling. By the time we left Chemka I was fully relaxed with all the trekking fatigue off my body. I recommend this amazing experience after climbing Kilimanjaro!

We were a group of 6 friends who had just completed Kili Marathon and wanted to explore a little bit more of Tanzania before flying out. Our hosts arranged for Daniel of Kili Land Adventures to take us for a day excursion to Materuni Village. The whole trip was amazing driving from our hotel in Moshi town to the remote village on the slopes of Kilimanjaro. The scenery to the falls was beautiful trekking to the falls and enjoying the fresh and clean mountain air. After our packed lunch we were driven to the village where we had a guided tour to the coffee farms and also saw how they process coffee. We also visited a local homestead and had nice interactions with the Makoi family including a local brew made from bananas and barbecued goat prepared for us. It was such an amazing cultural exchange that we enjoyed immensely. In the end we were glad that we chose to go for the trip rather than just staying at our hotel! I recommend this trip with Kili Land Adventures!

When my partner and I finally decided to do Kilimajaro we chose to go with Kili Land Adventures because Daniel the owner had successfully organized a trek for a group from our local church and they had nothing but praise for this local company. We were not sure of the particular route to take though wanted to avoid the crowds. Daniel gave us the Lemosho and Rongai routes and after lots of emails we chose the Rongai route. Daniel also sent us key information to help us prepare for the trek. Daniel together with came to meet us at the airport when we arrived and took us to our hotel in Moshi. We had a detailed briefing where he went in detail about the dos and don’ts, introduced us to Alex the chief guide who also crosschecked our packing list. From what I gathered from the other climbers that I met during our descent, we made the right choice of taking the Rongai route- Thank you Daniel!! Because the popular routes were pretty crowded and some of the facilities strained. We had an amazing time during our climb, Alex was has mastered the mountain and his experience helped us to get to the summit. The route is very scenic with a couple of tough stretches but Alex prepared us well and kept good tempo and rhythm so that we were not worn out before getting to the high altitude with little oxygen. I also appreciate the efforts and contribution of the other members of our support crew who comprised of porters and a cook. They were full of energy and this made the trek a fun activity. We got to the summit on June 8 and I have marked this day on my diary!! Amazing!! I am now safely back home but when I look back at the events of the last week, I am just happy!! The additional 3 days of safari to Tarangire Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro after our climb was spectacular where because we saw so many animals (all the big 5) and got to see more about Tanzania including a visit to a Maasai Boma. Last month my wife and I booked a 5 day safari to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro with a visit to a Maasai family with Kili Land Adventures. We explored a couple of international and local operators and Kili Land offered us the best deal. From the time we landed to the time we left we had a very memorable time with our guide Chris. He impressed us in all the parks with his friendly and easy going nature, his smile never left his face and he was genuinely interested in giving us a great experience. He made sure that the vehicle was always clean, putting up the pop top when we got to interesting spots and also explaining so much about the wildlife (animals and birds). Daniel had arranged with the lodges that we got our vegan dishes including breakfast and even ensuring that our rooms were not treated with aerosol insecticide as my wife is allergic. So when I say that Daniel is thorough and took care of the smallest of our requests I am not exaggerating. We enjoyed Tanzania and we want to come back for a tour to the South or West where I understand there are more pristine parks. Highly recommended!!
