Great trip with lots of wildlife, particularly elephants, on show. Finally saw the elusive African wild dogs as we were lucky enough to visit when they were denning, so they were not as nomadic as usual. Another highlight was the meerkats near the Makgadikgadi pan. We camped to keep our costs down. This was standard camping sleeping on camp beds with a camp shower that was filled each evening with hot water from the campfire, and a pit toilet. Food was excellent. Astonishing what they came up with for dinner each night. A bottle of wine each night was included. Nights were cold, so rug up. Botswana (not just Shipungo) seems to favour open safari vehicles with a roof but no sides. It made for great game viewing but was very cold and dusty first thing in the morning, and when we travelled between game viewing areas.

Safari of 9 Days exceptional wildlife camping start from Chobe n, p Savuti, Moremi Reserve, Okavango Delta and lastly Makgadikgadi Pans. Beautiful landscapes with a lot of animals. Excellent

Good and bad. Positives - Saw great wildlife, itinerary was good, and food excellent. Negatives- accomodation basic (it really is camping not glamping) and pretty cold (pack warmest clothes), and our guide (Kam) though knowledgeable was a bit abrasive and his time management and communication of plans wasn’t great. Overall a great trip, saw what we hoped to see at a good price.

During April 2024 we, a party of 4, were collected promptly at 06.00am from Audi camp by Kem, who was our driver and guide for the day. The whole tour was a pleasant experience, and Kem a knowledgeable guide. The tour included breakfast at the Moremi South gate, and lunch in the middle of the bush. We can certainly recommend Shipungo Safari & Tours to other travelers, and would most definitely make use of their services again

I went on a 1-day game drive with Shipungo in the Moremi Game Reserve. The whole experience was absolutely first class. Communication with the office to set up the trip was very easy and they were very responsive. On the day, our guide really made the tour very special. His expert knowledge of the game reserve and friendly conversation made for a highly enjoyable experience. Although I had been self-driving around Botswana for the rest of my trip, I saw saw much more of the wildlife and got far more out of Moremi by having such a great guide.

Great day! Mokoro guide was knowledgeable, and had great humour. Also took me on a longer walk, and closer to the animals, than the others I saw in the area

First of all, if you are a backpacker like me who is afraid of wasting your money you have to know that Moremi is totally worthy . Secondly, you have to know that this company is the cheapest so it is a must for you and you have to make sure put it apart from others...but more important it is that you can be certain that this company is totally reliable, I received answers very quickly about everything, they give you a detailed program, nothing is missed. The day of the activity our guide made all efforts to our needs: ( to find lions) he made everything all the time driving, very little stops just to see some footprints.... We saw 9 lions. What I can say it is that with this company won't fail, because you feel since first time you can rely on them, it is very clear. You will be charged a real fair price,( the best) half or 3 times less than others and you are going to receive a great service. So if you want to do Moremi, don't look other and just book with them, you can be totally safe, you are on the right one.

If you only do one thing from Maun do this. These guys were perfect, on time and super friendly. They made the whole day seamless.

Our bike tour group had a layover day in Maun and seven of us decided, most on the day before, to do the mokoro boat overnight. Shipungo was able to accommodate all of us, on our schedule (we had to ride to Maun that morning). All transportation and other details went very smoothly. The mokoro ride through the delta is beautiful, we highly recommend it especially for first-timers to the Okavango. There were a number of boat pilots and other staff, they cooked very nice meals even though it rained hard part of the evening. The next morning we did a two hour hike looking for wildlife, we saw zebra and buffalo (giraffes and lions took the day off); saw a LOT of hippos in the water. Price was quite reasonable. I highly recommend this trip.

I had a nice day at the Okavangodelta! They pick you up in the morning. Then it’s around a 1,5 hours drive which I really enjoyed you see already a lot of the nature there. Then we went with the Mokoro which is super beautiful and we had super sweet guides (Mark, Kenny, Cecilia, Brat - not sure if I wrote the names correct ;)) After that we stopped and did around a three hours walking safari where we spotted giraffes and hippos and some other small animals (bokis, eagle,….) Had some lunch and then went back with the mokoro! I would definitely recommend this tour and Shipungo Safari and Tours! See you again hopefully Mark 🤗🙏 Sandra

Myself and two other girls took a one day canoe tour through the Okavango Delta. It was so beautiful! They came and got us from the hostel, took us on the boat ride to the park, where we got a local tour guide of the delta. We saw many animals and our guides were very very knowledgeable of the Delta. It was such a great day. 100% must do if you are in Maun!

In October 2019 my wife and I did a 3 day (2 nights) Mokoro tour with Shipungo Safari & Tours in the Okavango Delta. Starting with the excellent organization, our experienced poler and guide with whom we had amazing experiences on our tours and the camp staff who i.a. prepared great food for us, we were very satisfied. We were also lucky not to have to share the camp with any other fellow travellers (in contrast to other tour operators who do such tours with 20 people). We would book again via Shipungo at any time and can highly recommend the company.

What an absolutely great tour experience from the start. the guide was on time to pick us up. He had to wait a couple of minutes for us, as we were running late. he made us very comfortable before we left the hotel for our excursion. Upon getting to the Delta, there was a team of people waiting for us, we were taken on the Delta with a Mokoro. what an experience. they are so professional and the guide Matthew was the best ever. we received lunch, water, cooldrink and snacks as part of the package. We got to see some really cool animals up close and personal, like elephants, buffalo's, hippo's, giraffe's etc. We can highly recommend Shipungo Safari Tours, as they are an excellent team. Without doubt it was the best tour I did in Botswana. The guide is great, they are super punctual, the tour was great, pleasant, all very well organized. Without a doubt, would do it again with this agency and recommend it to everyone. Whenever I am in Maun this will be the travel agency of my choice. Recommended A ++++++
