          Wonderful!
What a wonderful day trip! We were picked up by our awesome driver right on time. Our poler guide Flamingo was so knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. We got to see tons of animals and learn about the delta while peacefully floating along the river. I would highly recommend!

Amazing experience - what a safari should be!
We spent a total of 5 nights/6 days doing an overland tour from Maun to Kasane and spent 3 nights in Moremi and 2 nights in Savute/Chobe. Our guide, Clifford, was extremely knowledgeable and able to identify all animals and birds easily, able to navigate the difficult roads, and able to do these while also looking for animal tracks and giving us a very informational tour. You can tell his knowledge and passion for the areas which was infectious. We saw tons of animals - lions on every single game drive, leopards, buffalo, and tons and tons of elephants, hippos, zebras, impala etc. Overall, we had a lot more time on game drives than I have experienced when staying in lodges and because of this had more time to see animals and to sit and observe them (like watching elephants do mud +dust baths!). The "camp team" was also excellent, the food was fantastic (thanks OG!) and I definitely did not expect hot showers in the bush so that was a wonderful surprise. Great staff and a great group we were paired with, felt like family by the end of the week!

          Visit to the falls
Amazing place that should be visited if in this part of Africa. We had a guided tour of the falls, which was informative, walked from one end to the other stopping at each viewing point for photos and to admire the falls. Very clean, pathways in good condition, easy walking and wide enough for buggies/wheelchairs.

          Fantastic safari experience
We had an absolutely wonderful safari with Kalahari Breeze starting in Victoria falls and then through Botswana. They helped us plan our dream trip, organisation was excellent and everything went very smoothly. The guides were all excellent, friendly and knowlegeable. The highlight for me was the wild camping experience in the Okovango delta. The night sleeping under the stars in the Makgadikgadi salt plans was amazing but marred by some organisational issues on the part of the lodge. All the other lodge experiences were great, very comfortable with great food. Thank you Kalahari Breeze! Highly recommended!

          Peaceful Mokoro Trip
This part of the delta was beautiful and our Guide from the Village Gedeon was very knowledgeable. He told us everything we needed to know. We saw a lot of Hippos, Giraffes with a baby, Gnus, Impala, Buffalos, Zebras, Pelicans, lots of other birds and Elefants. All in all amazing experience.

          Amazing experience.
We opted for a bespoke 6 day tour. We started at Maun and did 2 days wild camping in Moremi, two days in Khwai at a lodge and two days on a houseboat in Seronga. Maria from Kalahari Breeze was amazing. She was prompt with all correspondence and made some brilliant suggestions for our itinerary. The wild camping was amazing. A team prepared our food and our tents. We saw amazing wildlife, especially lions, and wonderful sunsets. Tsidi the driver and Ronnie the mechanic were awesome. For this part od the journey we were a group of 8. We then had two days at Moremi O Bona Lodge which was out of this world. Mocks our guide managed to track us leopards and wild dogs as well as the wonderful other sightings. The whole team here made us so welcomed and they cared for us well. From here we flew to Seronga where Cpt Sam and Jonah welcomed us and we tried mokuru, bird watching and fishing. And from there back to Maun. None of this would have been possible without Kalahari Breeze. They made our trip unforgettable.

          Amazing
Amazing day, giraffes and elephants on the track in. Within 30minutes of reaching the park we were 2.5 metres away from a leopard keeping an eye on the antelope. Drove for another 20 minutes to see a massive herd of Zebra drove around the corner to a pride of 4 lions looking well feed relaxing under a tree once again amazingly close. Then went in search of the painted wild dog low and behold we found a pack of this endangered species once again with a very good viewing point of them relaxing in the shade. All in one day is pretty amazing.

          What Safari is all about!
What a great experience. Communication was spot on and professional. Maria, the owner, is super pleasant and willing to help in any way. Let's start with the ride. My description might sound negative, but it is not. We found it to be one of the highlights of the trip. Probably 70 miles off grid on rugged bumpy roads. I think people would pay just for the experience. The Delta is an untouched oasis of what life has been like for thousands of years. "Raps" was our guide. Excellent choice. As a poler he is skilled and as a guide he is informative and speaks near perfect English. He has a great personality and sense of humor. Hippos, giraffe, various birds, impala, buffalo...all were present. The Bushwalk brought us within 20 feet of 6 giraffes feeding and a small group of zebra. The campsite epitomized what camping is all about. Tents were set up, liens provided plus some basic essentials. We were greeted warmly and offered a fresh wet towel to freshen. The site was positioned near a large watering hole so plenty of wildlife came into view. Baboons and several listed above were present. Master was our head guide and he is focused on providing you with the best experience seeing the animals. He did not disappoint. Lions, ostrich, Buffalo, wild dogs, hyenas, various birds, plus more. OG was the head chef and delivered great quality food throughout the day. All food is cooked on open flame and he makes the best bread. Cooked in the ground covered in coals this bread was legit. You must add this to your Africa safari plans. We WILL BE BACK!

          Unforgettable experience
Very special and not to be missed experience in Okavango delta. Our poler was very informative, pointing and naming different birds and animals when noticing them. He would stop Mokoro and positioned it for better photo position. But, it highly depends on the poler. Some other members from our group in other Mokoro canue were highly unsatisfied with their poler as it kept silent all the time.

          Overall it was good
We very much enjoyed the Mokoro trip. Our guide - Junior - was excellent, very polite and informative. He should get promoted! Just note that you will only see a small part of the Okavango Delta. The tour is 'just' a one-hour Mokoro drive (and one hour back) and a bush walk for about one hour. In comparison to this, the price is quite high and the transport of about four hours round trip long. If you can, try to stay in the delta for a few days. If you cannot, this is and the Moremi game drive are probably your only decent options. If you are unlucky and don't see many animals which sometimes happens, we suppose that this tour gets a bit boring. Also, insist on an English-speaking Mokoro guide or you will miss out on most of the information about the delta and its wildlife which happened to others on our tour. Lastly, note that activities of this kind entail some risk. You will float close to Hippos in a Mokoro and will, therefore, be mostly unprotected from them. In our case, a hippo started running at us but luckily, the Mokoro drivers managed to make it turn away by screaming and hitting the water with their poles.

          A breeze in Botswana
The team at Kalahari Breeze Safaris helped us plan a superb itinerary with several rapid and responsive back-and-forth emails and we were very pleased with the result. Every arrangement went perfectly. The guides/drivers were wonderful friendly people who handed us over to local experts at various national parks and sites. The service at all the selected lodges or tenting camps was faultless. Of course the wildlife was the highlight and they didn’t disappoint. Each location has different highlights, and the recommendations of KBS turned out to be excellent.

          Can not fault this experience.
Incredible experience. Picked up at our hotel on the dot. Open top rode to the delta where our “poler” was waiting. An hour out to the lunch and walk spot, then an hour back. Elephant, zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, buffalo and antelope oh and did I mention the huge number of hippo and birds. Our driver was Craig who was courteous and thoughtful. Our piper was Castro who gave us so much information it was so rewarding. Brilliant day with superb salads (one vegan) and lots of ice cold water. 10/10.

Great WildCamping experience with Kalahari Breeze in the Delta
We had a wonderful private three-night WildCamping trip with Kalahari Breeze into the Okavango last month. The spot where we camped was in a concession area, and the wildlife was fantastic. Each morning and late afternoon, we went on drives and saw a plethora of general game, along with multiple elephant and buffalo sightings. In just a few days, we also had multiple lion sightings, saw wild dogs, and even witnessed a cheetah stalking and chasing impala. The pre-erected tents and beds were comfortable, and the hot water prepared for the showers on demand was a luxury we did not expect. Our main guide, Master, was friendly and helpful from the start. His knowledge and passion for guiding were evident, as he grew up in the area. We went on mokoro trips, which were a unique experience. Unfortunately, the water levels were lower than usual, so we couldn't go on long trips and had to turn back due to hippo and elephant activity in the main channel. We also went on two bush walks and encountered elephants and even a lion on one of the walks. The food served by the bush chef, Sam, was delicious. We were surprised by what he managed to prepare in his bush kitchen: fresh bread each evening, three-course meals, and brunch after morning activities. We highly recommend this WildCamping trip with Kalahari Breeze. Maria in the office was efficient and effective during all the booking interactions, ensuring everything went as planned and surpassing our expectations. Thanks to Maria, Master, Sam, Jerry, and Richard for hosting us in the bush.

          Superb Safari
An amazing holiday organised by Maria. We were picked up from Maun Airport taken to a lodge just outside Maun, next morning Clifford picked us up and Chris checked we were ok, Camping in Moremi and Okvango Delta with Master was outstanding, the camp staff brilliant. We then returned to Maun where Chris and Maria came to see us. Then onto Chobe and Victoria Falls all organised by Maria with fantastic accommodation and activities. If you are thinking of a safari in Botswana then I would highly recommend you talk to Maria.

My first such comment : We had a disappointing experience with this safari agency: most seriously, safety issues with no sat phone and a jeep breakdown due to lack of servicing in the middle of a hunt by a lion pride. No alternative jeep was sent and there was another breakdown the next day, with hours lost and finally a harrowing open jeep ride in dust for hours with no seat belts on rutted dusty roads like a desert roller coaster. V commercial, the company harshly demanded 300 dollars cash for unexplained bank charges, later dropped. Our trip program was sacrificed to suit the itinerary of priority clients who booked earlier, thus costing us 2/10 days viewing animals, along with other delays and lack of any transparency on transit times. Many other grievances, but we did get to see some animals despite an August drought. Guides were local drivers, not naturalists, and it was disorganised, ie not enough supplies, forgetting to load tea on jeep for game drive breaks. Cost was 500 a day per person for wild camping and mid range lodges plus travel. We had a lovely time anyway with fellow guests and meeting local people.

Thank you Elizabeth for your feedback, it is much appreciated. We apologize for the minor vehicle issue that you experienced due to a loose battery while on tour. We always aim to deliver only the best experiences. We appreciate the need to express your dissatisfaction of your tour experience, we however are dismayed that you chose to represent the situation with verifiable falsehoods. First you received a 30% discount and joined our tour on a cheaper rate than all other travellers. It is no fault of ours that you did not read your invoice terms and conditions, stating that we need to receive the full amount invoiced and that bank fees need to be covered by you, and you clearly did not inform yourself about the type of safari you were booking. Numerous emails between our reservations and yourself unfortunately did nothing to prepare you for our safari wildcamping offgrid experiences. There was a satellite phone present in your vehicle, our vehicles are constantly monitored by gps and satellite tracking systems and we have 24hr monitoring from our live feeds of all our vehicles at all times. We can email you copies of the feeds if you wish. An alternative vehicle was sent to assist your group after we took a precaution measure to stop the transit as purely a precautionary step. Our roads are rough and off grid as you witnessesed, it is no surprise that some things become loose after a few days on the road and we always do our best to check and maintain. Our clients safety while on safari is our highest priority and that has never changed and will remain our goal. At no time did your vehicle stop moving even though we suspected it may have had an issue. I was in constant communication with my guide at all times and I advised the course of action. On this particular event, you had 2 vehicles with our staff members driving directly behind you for the duration of your transfer. It is unfortunate that you and some other members of the tour decided to ignore our guides instructions and effectively disrupted our efforts to do our work properly and also caused unnecessary concern and agitation to fellow travellors. Lastly I am curious to ask, if you did not expect to be guided by the local people from the Okavango region, who would you have preferred? A simple matter of trust in our capabilities to do our job to the best of our abilities would have saved both of us a lot of unnecessary stress. We wish you more pleasant experiences in your future safari holidays. Thank you again for booking with us.

Amazing trip, well looked after from the moment we arrived. Started with a day in the Okavango, wonderfully peaceful. Staying at the Main Studios was also a real treat.
Then off camping in Moremi for a few days - with shower - before getting some luxury at Chobe.
Saw most of the animals we had hoped to see, except for wild dogs, they were out apparently.
I wasn't really prepared for the magnificence of the Victoria falls or the Devil's Pool, an exhilarating experience.
There was a small technical hiccup with the car and the way that Kalahari Breeze dealt with it just showed what good customer service can be like.
Thank you to all at Kalahari Breeze, especially Maria and Clifford.

Let me start by saying that I rarely write reviews….. the service has to have been something so exceptional that I feel compelled to sit at my computer and type something, telling others to do what I did. THIS company is absolutely deserving of all the highest accolades!!!! We began planning this trip mid 2019 for mid 2020 and, as you can guess, it was delayed and delayed again until September 2021. During this time, Maria (co-founder of the company) was gracious enough to continue communications throughout. She was efficient and amazingly easy to deal with, even when I was freaking out with scheduling plane tickets and time frames and COVID related issues. I cannot thank her enough for her ease in handling some difficult situations! When we finally got a plan together, we did Devil’s Pool at Victoria Falls followed by Chobe National Park followed by 2 nights in Okavango Delta then flew to Cape Town for Shark Cage Diving, Table Mountain, and Boulder Beach - ALL of which was organized by Maria and her husband, Chris. It was 11 days of the best experiences I could’ve ever asked for! When we finally got to Victoria Falls in September 2021 we were greeted by Chris, our phenomenal tour guide throughout our time in Botswana/Zambia/Zimbabwe/Maun. He is not only part owner of the company but also one of the kindest, most knowledgeable humans we encountered during our stay! We were BEYOND lucky to have him as our guide and I cannot say enough good things about him! He got us through multiple COVID tests, visa sites, multiple tours, TONS of driving, etc. all with a smile and lots of wisdom about his country and the animals living there! I cannot recommend this company enough!!!! We got the “budget” accommodations due to the amount of time we spent there and the lack of money 😉 and they were STILL incredible! The tents in most of the places still have actual beds (only in Victoria Falls and inside the Delta did we have cots) and there were showers in every place but the Delta so you never felt far from the luxuries of home! Chris and Maria make sure you are comfortable at all times and are continually concerned about your well being and if you are enjoying their country/continent. If you are within the time frame, you HAVE to do Devil’s Pool at Victoria Falls! It is once in a lifetime and so thrilling!!!! You lay, on the edge of the falls, and time stops. It is beautiful and serene and insane all at the same time! Then, I strongly recommend Chobe National Park! We saw 3/5 of the “big 5” within the first hour of being there!!! It was surreal to be driving and be like “oh! There’s a giraffe chilling, eating leaves!” And, the Delta provided some of the most exceptional sunrises/sunsets and nature hikes possible against a true “National Geographic-esque background”! We got to experience the Salt Pans as well, being able to see meerkat in their natural environment! Cape Town was very similar to the US in that it is urban and you can just go down the street to a beach or restaurant and there aren’t animals anywhere unless you seek them out. Table Mountain wasn’t one of my “must see” list items but Maria scheduled it for us and I’m THRILLED she did! It was incredible! And, it’s now classified as one of the “New 7 Wonders of the World” so a must do if you go there! We had such a fantastic experience while in Africa that it is something you MUST do in your lifetime! If you are at all considering coming to Africa to do safaris and immerse yourself in this gorgeous continent, book with Kalahari Breeze Safaris and you won’t regret it!

Thank you Maria and Kalahari Breeze Safaris for coming to our rescue, after our original trip with another operator was cancelled the day before departure.
What incredible memories you created for our trip through Botswana with the great choices of mobile camping spots, incredible game viewing: 3 leopards on one day, lions with cubs and painted dogs with pups on another, not to mention our memory cards full with elephants, giraffe, hippo, zebra, buffalo, wildebeest, warthogs and oh too many more to mention.
Our amazing driver and guide, Cliff, ensured our safe arrivals and even helped out those not so lucky in the deep sand. Our hats go off to Cliff and Maria for their knowledge, not to mention how they managed to find the crew and our camps in the bush...
Our camp crew was superb. They had everything ready on our arrivals, wet cloths upon return from our game drives, hot water for showers and washing and our cook Ogie provided wonderful and delicious meals each and every day off the campfire.
Our only regret is that our trip was not longer and that we had to say good bye too soon.
Thanks to everyone at Kalahari Breeze Safaris. Your attention to detail and true desire to ensure the best experience for your guests will make you our choice for our next trip to Botswana.

We spent 11 days from Okavango delta to Victoria Falls, including 4 days in mobile safari.
It was an amazing experience, we could see plenty of animals and beautiful landscapes, thanks to a great team: Maria and Chris, very kind and efficient, Ranger, George and Kingsley, friendly, professional and tireless.
Camping in the wild is safe, tents are confortable with attached bathroom, food is very good (thank you George).
All the hotels and lodges were clean and good.
        Highly recommended!

As a senior traveler I was expecting some difficulty -- but a sense of adventure is required anywhere and I could not have been happier with everyone at Kalahari Breeze! The food was fantastic - I traveled with my son and his fiancee who are vegan, but I'm easy to please with anything and Kalahari chefs made superb meals in the bush! Garden Studio in Maun was also excellent, as well as the food the ladies made at Kubu Lodge in Kasane and the chef at Masuwe Lodge, Victoria Falls.

Returning to Maun and Garden Studio after two different tent camping "chapters" (Mokoro and Moreni Game Reserve) was refreshing. Best parts of this trip were learning that the company that Chris and Maria started support many local people; good discussions about water and politics in this part of Africa, and the future of wildlife here.

Botswana appears to have taken a different path than other countries in wanting to preserve its wild areas. The animals here are 'business partners' not hunting trophies. I was pleased to read that Chief Moremi's wife was responsible in 1963 for arranging the establishment of the Moremi Game Reserve.

I liked learning about the relationship between the animals and people who live here, from Clifford, Chris and Saba, who were all our guides in a way. The huge roar on the second night at Moremi was an announcement that our camp was in a male lion's territory, explained Clifford, who found his tracks about 100 yards away next morning. The lion is not interested in coming into your tent. Having said that, it's a good idea to not come out of the tent at night - bathrooms are attached to each sleeping tent! If you want a flush toilet at all times you will miss wonderful tent camping with Kalahari Breeze, and evenings around the camp fire. Other night visitors were a honey badger, hyena and a single wild dog.

I enjoyed Clifford's perceptions: The old elephant is just like an old man, nothing bothers him too much. (One little elephant trumpeted loudly at us and then ran behind his mother.) After seeing a pride of 3 lionesses and their 6 cubs (who were very thin) I realized that life is also hard for the lion, not just the impala, zebra and wildebeest.

And the elephant at Mokoro who grazes just feet away, breaking trees all night, isn't interested in you either, just those leaves at the top. Mr Saba built a fire to tell the elephant we were here, and the elephant left. No guns are allowed in Botswana, so the people and animals respect one another's territory.

The next chapter, as Clifford would say, was the move across the border to Zimbabwe (after 2 great nights at Kubu Lodge in Kasane, northern Botswana) and Masuwe Lodge in Victoria Falls. Again wonderful talks with Cassius the concessioner and some history of Zimbabwe. Beautiful cabins and a pool here as well. Don't be alarmed to see a gecko occasionally in your cabin. Viewing Victoria Falls was stunning - we were almost alone here - COVID has limited travel from everywhere and has been hard on the local economy.

This trip was somewhat challenging because of two separate COVID tests necessary to cross into Botswana and then into Zimbabwe, but this trip was safe, secure and enlightening. We saw many elephants, impalas, zebras, cape buffalo, giraffes, lions and hippos, as well as many birds. The waters of the Okavango Delta were free-flowing, clean, and cold -- like the Everglades, a flowing river spread wide. I took an excellent book about Africa with me and read it along the way: The Shadow of the Sun, by Ryszard Kapuscinski, a Polish journalist. Great read.
