This has to be one of the best tour experiences we have ever done. We booked this tour a couple of months in advance, and Andes Salt Expeditions were in touch with us every step of the way, with prompt responses to any queries we had. We were met at the bus station, everything just fell into place. But a good tour is made into a great tour by the tour guide you get. In this case, we were so lucky to have Raquel. Her boundless energy, enthusiasm and passion about her home country and culture made this something special, and she molded our group of 11 (spread over two vehicles) into a little family. Her knowledge, assistance with photos (especially the trick ones on the salt pan) and marshalling of us all was amazing. We did the 3-days tour from Uyuni with drop off at the boarder with Chile. Everything was perfect with also some surprise like the wine and nibbles during sunset at the salt flat. Our guide Eduardo is the best! Great guy and very experienced driver. Well done e team

Let me first say this - we had an excellent time, and the tour is marvelous. We really love our guide Edwin who has perfect English, is very knowledgable, and helps us to take beautiful photos. His vision to help the people here in Uyuni is also very appreciated. However, the poor review is for the driver Blas. On our last day of the tour where we transfer out to Chile, our guide responsibly waited at the border with us for the driver from Chile to arrive even though they were late. Blas was supposed to bring the guide and travellers who do not transfer to Chile back to Uyuni, but for some reasons he left our guide behind and gone by himself. While we do not understand Spanish and not sure if there is any argument between them, it is in any ways really irresponsible leaving the guide at the border station. As not only the guide does not have transport to go back, the travellers in the car also was left without the guide and has to complete the tour by themselves.

Overall a fun trip. However no communication received until 2 hours before departure when I contacted them. Upon contacting, they said our tour wasn’t possible and we could only do the 1 day tour. We had booked the 2 day 1 night. We were then taken to the office to talk about our tour. We asked for a straight refund so we could go with a different company. This was completely ignored, we then spoke to the boss who was called in who did arrange us a 2 day tour with lovely accommodation. The tour was fab and we really enjoyed however very wishy washy from the company and a lack of communication. Not sure we would have got a refund if we really needed one.

Our tour by our excellent guide José was outstanding and took us to so many amazing places across the 3 days. José was very knowledgeable about the area, its history, the landscape and the wildlife. Gave us great information at every stop and was able to answer all our questions. José also took spectacular perspective photos of us on the salt plain with fun photos using props. The accommodation exceeded our expectations with en-suite rooms with hot showers both nights. The first night’s hotel made out of salt blocks was particularly nice and unique. Even the bed was made out of salt blocks, but surprisingly comfortable. The food was good with good portions to keep our teenage boys from being hungry. And of course to top it all the spectacular sights and views we saw across the 3 days.

Amazing views of salt flats, the national parks and the lagoons with flamingos. Our guide Walberto was excellent. He made sure everyone in the group was taken cared of and did his best to suit our needs. Also the amount of guiding experience was just right and we had a good balance of free time and guided time.

today I experienced 1 day Uyuni Salt Flat tour with Henry and I can't recommend it more. such a great guide with good heart!! he was picking up the best spots for breathtaking views + also making professional (IG) photos and videos for all the participants. :-) thank you so much for a beautiful day! also communication with the company on WhatsApp was fast and nice, they answered all my questions.

I selected this tour based on reviews, and feel it is only fair to leave my own after the fact. The most important things to be were 1) small group, 2) Incahuasi Island if available because of water, 3) daytime salt flats and 4) sunset. I feel like the tour accomplished all of this for me. Our guide (Henry) was personable and spoke enough English for it to be helpful for me. The lunch we had was excellent and in a cool location. I liked the bonus opportunity to shop at the market and learn about salt as well. Am happy I took this tour!

One of the best trips we have been to, hands down! The agency has been so professional, not only did they arranged everything for us, the one night accommodation was in the FIVE star Palaciol de Sol as a gift for Christmas. Guide on the first day was Jose, who was very extensive in giving details for every site we went to and help took lots of fun pictures over the dried lake. Second day we were with Edwin, who arranged us climbing the volcano tunupa, it was challenging but fun. And Edwin took lots of photos for us over the lake reflection. I would recommend the trip to everyone who’s looking for an adventure.

This was the best tour I’ve ever done. First of all, kudos to Eduardo (Edu) who was our guide and made every experience be top tier. Edu is pasionate, funny and an amazing tour guide. Superb professional services by the admin office. Kind ,passionate and experience guide Santos. He is like one of us traveling together. The arrangements are thoughtful and they are trying their best to give us the best experience. The salt flat sights are fascinating and special.

The tour was more than we could ever ask for! We were picked up from the airport even though our flight was late more than one hour. We were driven around the desert and the flats in a small group of four in a Lexus 4x4, stopping at many interesting location such as a huge train cemetery and an island filled with cacti in the middle of the flats. The included drinks, lunch, snacks and bottle of wine at sunset made for a care-free and relaxing experience. Jose, our guide, spoke perfect English and had vast knowledge of the salt flats and it's history. He was flexible, allowing us extra time for the places we wanted to enjoy longer. Because someone cancelled, we were offered their room at the most luxurious hotel in the region for free, including dinner and breakfast the next day. The whole day felt like a personalized private tour. Thank you so much Jose and the rest of the agency for what was truly and unforgettable experience.

Went on the 4 day salt flats and desert expedition. It was amazing! My group had a drop-out in the last minute, so we had a hybrid of 2 days, and the tail end of a 3 day route. I swear we did just about everything we could have possibly done. We had 1 car and 1 driver the first day and a half, and we switched cars, groups, and guides at the end of day 2. We visited the salt flats, climbed a volcano, hiked an island, saw the painted desert, took a million photos, saw llamas, viscachas, andean emus (rhea), viscuñas, andean geese, flamingos, and dozens of other animals and birds. My heart was filled after the trip. The guides were so great. Ours were Edwin and Juan. The drivers were all so great as well. We had Marcos, Jesus, and Elmer (bolo botón). 100% recommend for anyone going for a visit. Do yourself a favor and if you get to the hot springs, don't worry about the cold... just go in! I have never had so many unadulterated natural sites take my breath away in such a short amount of time. Truly devastating beauty (Bourdain). Pro tip: begin your tour rested so you don't sleep through the car rides. Some of the best things to see are between the stops. Plan for a good rest before you begin your tour.

we do not recommend this tour agency as the boss Braulio was not honest with us and very unprofessional. TLDR - he asked us to pay an additional USD100/pax for services that were complimentary to everyone in the tour and became very defensive when we asked about the discrepancy. essentially, their website states that the standard package is USD 150/pax for a spanish guide, dormitories and shared toilets while the medium package is USD 250/pax for an english guide, private room and private toilet. this information is not true! everyone in our group had the english guide and private room even though they bought the standard package. the only difference was the folks on the standard package did not have an ensuite toilet and had to pay BOB30/pax for their nightly shower. it was quite shocking the price discrepancy USD100 vs BOB30 (
