      Avoid this company
The whole thing was shambolic from start to finish. We didn’t get what we paid for as at the last minute they decided to not run the tour and instead palmed us off to another tour company. Which we weren’t told until we started the actual tour. The tour we did was different (no stargazing, no wellies) and the guides and drivers got stoned and drunk both nights meaning when people struggled in the group with altitude sickness they wouldn’t or couldn’t help. We complained and were promised a refund, but they never happened either. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS TOUR GROUP. Hector is a liar and I would never trust him again - don’t make the same mistake we did. Plenty of other tour groups in the area, don’t book ahead and you will get a much better deal.

      Amazing and unforgettable 3 days
After reading reviews of this tour company, my friends and I decided to buy this tour for our first trip to Uyuni. It did not disappoint! Communication beforehand with Hector was very good- we were even able to rent rubber boots from the company. Pick up was hassle-free, and the car was well-maintained. The driver, Robert, was an excellent driver and a genuinely nice human being. The real star of the show was the awesome guide - Santiago. He’s so knowledgeable and passionate about the area, and he’s a lot of fun. He helped us get some great photos and took really good care of us when some in our group felt under the weather due to the altitude. He was punctual and helpful, and he tried his best to make the accommodations comfortable. I would definitely go on another tour with this group!

Amazing excursion but soured by too many errors
It pains me to write this review because I want to support local economy and I think everyone should go on the Salar when the opportunity arises. I'm thankful for the opportunity and also the people that made it happen. Overall, the setting and environment is unparalleled. The Bolivian salt flats is a once in a lifetime experience and I'll remember it forever. However, the tour itself left a sour taste in our mouths and that's why this is 2 stars. I'll try to be as objective as possible, facts first and opinions later. We booked a 3d2n private tour with Hector from Jukil. The communication was fine, the pre-payment was arranged with 30% deposit. The rest of the money was paid on the first day of the trip. This is unusual but understandable given the economy, but if things go wrong you have very little leverage. On the tour itself: - We arranged airport pickup, our flight was 10m early and they haven't arrived. They ended up by 10m late so we were at the airport for 20m. Not a huge deal. - Tour on the first day salt flats was great. Our guide Santiago was helpful and attentive, and has a bit of sass in his character. We saw the local markets and the salt flats. - The first night we arranged for a stars / sunrise tour of salt flats. We were told to wait at lobby at 3am. I knew the cloud conditions weren't going to work, but we would try anyway. We ended up waiting until 330am for them to show up (?!), and then told that we'll leave at 430am because the clouds aren't favorable. Could have just whatsapp'd us about this. Sunrise tour was fine and great. - We rested for the second day but wanted to see the sunset. We asked Hector last minute and he arranged for a pickup for an addition $60 USD. It's a bit more than expected but since it's last minute (and we had already paid the full amount), I just went with it. Sunset tour was great. - The last day is the real issue. We had to leave at 3am for Atacama (again they were late for about 15m). My wife was having altitude issues and felt really sick on the bumpy road, so we arranged for a change at 8am in the morning to cut the tour to Chile through Ollaygue instead of the original path (which goes up to 5000m). We were charged $200 USD for this change (understandable given the majority of the route will be through a Chilean driver). We were told that the Chilean driver would be there at the border by 11am. We got there at 11am and no one was found. We ended up waiting until 5pm in a deserted borderlands (from the Chilean company Salar Andino Expediciones). We had the opportunity to board a bus that came along, but we were told we wouldn't get the $200 back (again, shouldn't have paid up front.) To be fair, this was a last minute change, and Hector did his best to arrange transport, but the expectation wasn't clear that resulted in many hours of waiting in the desert. We ended up getting to Atacama at 10pm. If nothing had gone wrong we would have given Jukil 4/5 stars. And Bolivia isn't mature in the tourism market, so some issues are to be expected. But for us these were real issues (punctuality, expectations, and clear dealings on costs) that we think could have been mitigated. My final suggestions to travelers: - Be clear on the exact itinerary - Don't pay in full so you have some leverage - Make sure you can acclimate to the altitude or have a backup plan

Unforgettable once in a lifetime excursion
Due to holiday seasons at the end of 2019, we booked the nightsky + sunrise tour plus two day salt flat and lagoon trip with the assistance of Hector. He designed a tailored trip to fit our schedule. Our english guide Jose was super knowledgeable and helpful during the trip; he took many creative shots and short videos while we were waiting for the sunrise at Uyuni; in addition he gave us a lot of information of the nature history of lagoons (Colorado, Verde, Blanca), geysers, and deserts. The manager Hector was also our driver, and he was a very experienced guide and driver particularly when we waded through the shallow water of west Uyuni. Overall, the three day experience with Hector and Jose was amazing and unforgettable. I have to say the night sky and sunrise at Uyuni is the most spectacular view I have witnessed in my life, after visiting over 40 countries.

      The best three days
These were the best three days of my life, all thanks to Hector and his team for making my trip an unforgettable experience of my life. Seeing Uyuni Salt Flats always was on top of my list of places to visit. Orlando was driving me along with the rest of the group for three days of the tour and he was very safe and entertaining. Everything on this tour was as it was mentioned in the itinerary. Hector never rushed us and we always had enough time in all stops.

A great trip but the drivers are reckless and I think this listing is misleading
The Salar de Uyuni is truly an amazing site and worth seeing but I feel compelled to point some things out. First, the photos of the salt flat hotel don’t look at all like the one I stayed in. I’m sure there were no towels folded into swans on my bed because the room didn’t have towels. In general, I felt the accommodations on this trip were VERY meager—not much hot water, often no electricity, and very cold. After visiting the Salar, I realize it is very difficult to have nice accommodations there but I certainly didn’t know that beforehand. Second, I rode with three drivers during the trip and I thought they all drove recklessly. We regularly asked them to slow down when passing oncoming traffic or when there was so much dust that you wouldn’t be able to see oncoming traffic if there were any. On the second day, our driver lost control of the car, ran off the side of the road, and very nearly rolled the car over. As I said, the Salar is an amazing place and well worth seeing. Our guides were very hard-working, putting in extremely long days in a pretty rough conditions. I just wish the drivers were more careful and I had more realistic expectations about the accommodations.

      Most Awaited and Beyond Expectation
This was the most awaited trip of my life. Hector was my guide and he simply rocked. He is someone who every traveller would love to have as a guide. Very efficient, quick witted and friendly. Gonzalo, our driver drove very carefully while most other vehicles we encounteres were speeding. They seem to have planned every stop on the tour carefully having an ample of time at each to get the most of it. The food were great, freshly pepared Quionoa was the best. On the first night of the tour they accommodated the group in a hotel entirely made of salt blocks. I am very pleased with them and will surely recommend them.

      Beyond Expectations
Hector is just the right person if you are planning on doing this tour. He responded to all our mails promptly and even picked us up from the airport in Uyuni. On the day of the tour, he picked us up from our hostel on time. He speaks good English too. They have their own salt hotel amidst the salt flats which was simply stunning. The driver drove very safely and was very respectful and kind. All meals during the tour were freshly cooked and our vegan meal option was considered on short notice. They are the best for the Salt Flats trip in Uyuni.

      Just an amazing trip
I reached Uyuni with no expectations. Hector the owner, picked me up from the bus terminal at 5 in the morning. He showed me a coffee shop where I had some breakfast. The tour started at 10:30 AM. I was in a group of 5 travellers. Our first stop was the train cemetery. The guide explained a lot about how these locomotives were abandoned here. We then visited the salt museum and the salt flats, the salt hotel and a couple of monuments one of which commemorates the Dakar ralley. We then stopped for lunch and went to an island filled with cactus, the view was breath taking. Orlando, our guide explained a lot and was friendly. I spent the first night in a hotel made of salt blocks with a room for myself. The next day we visited volcano and some lagoons and stone tree and stopped at a rustic place near the red lagoon. The following day we started early and visited the thermal geysers and stopped a hot springs. The dip in the hot springs was rejuvenating. Every part of the tour was nice. The food was simply delicious. They offered Quinoa which was filling. Highly recommended.

Lovely Three Day Trip with Hector
We booked a three day trip and Hector was always responsive to all our mails. As we reached Uyuni from La Paz, Hector was at the terminal waitin for us. He assisted us in finding our hotel. The trip was very nice. Everything was arranged well and after reading stories of drunk drivers and impolite guides, with Hector we felt convinced that we were in safe hands.

This was unbelivably cheap. Jukile De Los Andes made us feel very safe, hector picked us up from the bus terminal at 4 in the morning. Our driver was way too good he was also our guide. As we spoke basic Spanish we took this tour with Spanish guide. Our driver and guide, Orlando knew a lot and was very attentive and safe. One of the travellers in the car fell sick and he eas quick to get the first aid kit and relieve him. Nice tour with a professional tour company.
