We loved our 3 day/2 night trip with perla de bolivia. Our guide Beto was great fun and was always on hand to answer questions and tell us about the area. Our driver Edwin was also an absolute pro for the whole trip and always in great mood.
The accommodation on the first night was excellent, individual salt huts with private bathrooms and hit showers. The second night was very basic but would recommend spending the extra $15 for a private room and bathroom.
While there is alot of driving involved the hot springs were a high point of the trip and the amazing wildlife. Would 100% recommend.

Good tour, but very VERY cold.
My favorite part of the trip was the salt flats, seeing flamingos and the geysers.
Was disappointed to find out the the red and green lagoon is only "red" when the sun is really shining and the "green" lagoon is only green when it's really windy. I was most excited about the red lagoon, which I ended up being very disappointed about. Obviously they can't control the weather, but thats just my two sents.
We felt that our accommodations were really cheap for what we paid, it was FREEZING. No heat at all. The high altitude made it very windy & cold. Seeing as we are backpacking, we didn't really have enough layers to wear. You also have to pay extra for a sleeping bag (50 bs). The accommodations do come with thick blankets but the sleeping bag was also necessary.
Our guide & drivers were all very nice though! Meals were pretty good, they mostly serve American style food- would have liked local food instead as we are there for an adventure.
Unfortunately our vehicle on the first day had a flat tire which was changed, eventually. Seemed like they lacked preparation as they had to fill up their gas tank as we were heading to the train graveyard. Our first driver fell ASLEEP while driving through the salt flats which was scary- weaving back and fourth, could have been a near miss. Inside the vehicle it smelt like fumes which added to the headaches. Luckily that driver & vehicle was changed without our request. Personally I was disappointed with the trip.
Again, the guide and drivers from the 2nd and 3rd day were great 5/5 to them. The tour 3/5.

Hi Shannon, we appreciate your feedback. Please let us know, First: who rent you the sleeping bags in 50 BOB??? ALL THE SLEEPING BAGS ARE FREE IN PERLA DE BOLIVIA. Second, When did you take the tour? do you remember the name of your driver? It is NOT allowed to sleep during working time, we are going to sanction him and Tour Guide, if its true, A big SANCTION. About FREEZING yes, we are in winter, if you look for more information about Uyuni Salt Flats you can see that those months are really cold and everybody recommend bring more jackets. for that reason, we give free sleeping bags. Kind Regards.

We had the best 3 days on the tour! Our tour guide Saul was knowledgeable and passionate about the landscapes we were shown. His informative speeches on the flora and fauna really made the tour.

Our driver Marrín was an absolute professional and very sweet; he made the long drives so enjoyable and fun.

Despite the occasional bit of car trouble (to be expected on the dirt roads) it was a fantastic few days.

We have spent 3 days and 2 nights at Salar de Uyuni with Perla de Bolivia. Our booking experience was very seamless and the tour itself was very enjoyable. The sights we visited were some of the most beautiful I have ever seen. We were total of two cars, both filled with 6 people. Our drivers were very good but didn't speak any english. Our english speaking guide Eli was very nice although not very personable. He didn't even remember our names at the end of the tour which is very disappointing. Other than that, he was very knowledgeable and the whole tour was timed perfectly. We were never rushed and had enough time to see all the sights and take plenty of photos. The vehicles that we used on the tour were very old, the tires were run down, no A/C, windows were not working and on top of that the 4x wheel drive was not working. We got stuck once in the salt flats and it took few hours for the other car to fetch rope and other necessities to get the other car out. It was surprising to see that they didn't have any needed equipment with them.
The places we stayed overnight were fine, 1st night was nice and warm salt hotel, 2nd was cold hostel but it was not too bad. The food that was served during lunch and dinners was pretty good. We even got sparkling wine for Christmas dinner and red wine for sunset on the Salt Flats. All and all, with too many providers, it is necessary to pick the right one. I think Perla is doing good job, but could definitely do better with servicing their vehicles and making sure the drivers carry proper equipment on the trips in case of emergency.

We had a wonderful time with a very nice group. Our guide Marcia and the drivers were very committed: they showed us this beautiful landscape and surprised us with funny photos, a beautiful night trip to see the starry sky and much more. The accomodations were simple but clean and the food (also vegetarian) was very nice. Sure, it was very cold... but we expected it and we got warm sleeping bags. Thank you very much for this experience!

Salt flats amazing but our guide and vegetarian food not. The guide didn't provide us enough information about the timetable and what was gonna happen next. Most people on our tour wasn't happy with the information given. Also the guide was a bit rude and indifferent.
Her attitude not the best. If you had an issue and you brought it up with the guide she got defensive and seemed to take it as criticism of the tour.
On our last day we woke up at 4am to have cold pancakes and stale toast. And lunch was 9 hours later and there wasn't vegetarian option available.
Bring lots and lots of snacks and water.
Just small things that didn't work on this tour. Not worth of the money.
Driver was professional and drove safely.

The first day we started with the tour. Before we went to the salt hotel the driver stop at a hostel before enter the salt flats we don’t know because why. During our visit to the salt hotel rain start and after 1 hour or so they told us we go back to Uyuni. Almost all other tour go straight with the tour. So I don’t think the reason was the rain. The next morning the driver and guide arrive 1 hour after the pick up time without any excuse. Because we didn’t went to our first lodge we had to do the second day a lot of stops and distance. We start at 0600 and end around 19 o’clock. At some stops we just at a few minutes before the guide push us to continue the tour. The accommodation at the second day was good the dinner was awful. I was 3 days sick of this food. Also we didn’t got any water or softdrinks that we were suppose to get. At the end the tour price of 210 dollar seems a lot when I compare it with other tours. I don’t believe the weather was the main reason to go back to uyuni. Because we were the only Jeep that went back. Also the weather was really good later. For me it was a mistake to book this tour. Also the car didn’t had any Oxygen bottle as promised in the description.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We take customers' feedback very seriously, and it is disconcerting to hear that you did not enjoy your tour with us. What you described certainly does not meet the standard we set forth, and I am truly sorry that we did not meet your expectations, please could you tell us your complete name? to check what happened that day? also, we tell everybody that in the rainy season we change some routes for your security because some areas are fully wet.

Things were fine until the driver became SEVERELY DRUNK on the 3rd day, extremely far from civilization. We luckily had someone in the group who could drive the vehicle, and someone else who knew the way back. We basically saved ourselves from a potentially very dangerous situation. When we contacted the owner, he didn’t seem to care about the dangerous situation we had been put in. If he had demonstrated even a little bit of concern during our phone call with him, you wouldn’t be reading this review. I’m sure he’ll have some completely b. s. response, but don’t believe a word of it. Apparently, this alcohol/driver thing is an ongoing problem in Uyuni …

Hi Mr. Evan As you know we help you with everything in your tour: **First you came illegally to Bolivia, you didn't do migration and you avoid the bolivian laws, as our passenger we help you to avoid the check police points and tried to hide you. (It wasn't our responsibility if police asked about you, but we helped you) **Second we gave you a really good service with food, guide, and hotel (second night we gave you a private room with out an over price, you drunk a lot in the Hotel when it's not allow but your guide accepted that) **Third as we explain to everyone the driver was with medication, he was NOT DRUNK, he was tired for the intense hot weather and this fact was the 3rd day of the tour at midday, (NOT THE WHOLE TRIP) as our driver was tired and with medication...we sent 2 cars and 3 drivers to the Hotel in Huayllajara for to change the car and preserve your security..... driver was left in the Hotel, and you continued in other car with other driver. Your guide helped you with everything, even when you tried to steal her phone. Please don't lie, don't try to show facts that are not true. What do you want? It was many time ago. You erased your comments and write again, you have enough time so, we say the true that happened that day. Please stop, and check your migration papers.

We had a fabulous tour with this Company. Our english guide, David, and our driver, Luis, were both amazing and the many hours spent in the 4x4 car went easy with us being the DJ. We spent the first day on the salt flat with lots of photo opts and lunch on the flat. Amazing! Day 2 was packed with flamingo lakes and beautiful landscapes. Day 3 started with the most amazing bath in hotspring during sunrise! The rest of the day was spent driving back to Uyuni. It was an awful long drive, but we managed to get the best out of it. Concludingly we had some unforgettable days with this Company!

Did the 3D2N tour, good drivers and the attractions are amazing but this is a rating for their run-down cars and lack of professionalism by the guide that made me felt unwelcome and excluded.

The cars do not appear to be maintained much, if at all; there was no AC and windows weren’t working most of the time, so basically long rides in the desert with no ventilation in hot cars. The tires on one car are practically bold and the 4x4 shaft missing so when we got stuck in mud, there was no rescue gear and the other car had to come back with a tow rope.

The guide had taken an interest in one of the girls and in the process managed to exclude me from interacting with others in the car on the long return ride back to Uyuni. It sucked to end the tour feeling unwelcome.
