I recently booked a 3N/2D private tour with Joker. Everything was taken care of from start to finish. Our English-speaking guide Oscar was very knowledgeable and was able to speak about everything from Bolivia's history to its flora and fauna. Joker was also able to secure me a room in the Tayka El Desierto (a must for anyone considering a trip into the national park). Finally, Jose was able to answer all questions that I had beforehand over email. Would highly recommend!

Uyuni is one of the most amazing places I’ve ever been. Epic landscapes, wonderful, wonderful people. You’re about two hours away from the final shootout of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid. You’re two hours away from Potosi, the world‘s most important and oldest silver mine. The salt flats themselves are larger than Lebanon, dotted with islands of ancient coral and blooming cacti. It’s where Star Wars the last Jedi battle scene was filmed, there’s a British and American steam locomotive graveyard to play around in. It’s just supremely incredible and well worth the effort to see.

I did a private tour as I get car sick sometimes. The driver was excellent, ensured I was comfortable and we had a smooth journey. The guide knowledgeable, entertaining and spoke english well. Great team from Joker Expedition. Would recommend them

We had an excellent trip exploring the salt flats of Uyuni with Joker tours. Our guide Oscar was very knowledgeable, and we had the right balance of time to ourselves vs being accompanied. Highlights for us including the photoshoots on the salt flats, which Oscar was brilliant at taking, picnic lunches on the flats (away from the crowds) and enjoying the sunset with a bottle of wine and snacks, set up by our driver Yver. I would recommend this tour to anyone who is thinking of going to Uyuni but doesn't want to do it as part of a large group.

Seemless from start to end. Joker Expeditions had it all covered, from hotel pickup in La Paz and drop off the next day. Everyone I dealt with were great. Oscar was my guide on the flats, and he was knowledgeable and super friendly. He shared lots of information about the train graveyard and the origins of the lake/Salt Flats like it was second nature. By the end of the day, I felt like I'd known him for ages. The food provided was fresh and delicious. And the views were spectacular. A sight not to be missed. In the eight or so hours I was on the trip, I took 200 photos and videos (some also by Oscar) - which is testament to the special nature of this trip! Our trip really was a dream come true. I was nervous about booking from Australia but need not have worried, all my queries were answered promptly, everyone we interacted with were sensational and everything was organised to perfection. The service was top notch and our skilled guides knew where to take us to avoid the crowds. The beautiful lunch and sunset drinks were superb and allowed time to sit and soak up the experience (there was even flowers on the table!). Diego our driver who picked us up in La Paz did such a good job getting us to the airport on time as a car accident had closed the main road, he even walked us into the airport to ensure we got to the gate in time. Our guide Oscar was incredibly knowledgable, accomodating and easy company - not to mention a great photographer who captured some treasured memories for us. Christian our driver was very experienced and we always felt very safe. The hotel was beautiful and Janette was delightful and provided exceptional service. Even upon our return to La Paz we had a very lovely driver Jhonny to take us back to our accommodation. Would highly recommend.

We actually did this tour from San Pedro Atacama to Uyuni, and Joker Expeditions was willing to arrange pick up there and transport to the border where we met our team. This was an unbelievable trip! Our guide, Oscar, and our driver, Silvio, were kind, caring and attentive to our every need, sometimes before we even knew what they were! Oscar did everything from helping us navigate the visa process at the border (no easy thing) to pointing out and identifying wildlife, especially the diverse assemblage of birds, to supplying us with snacks and water, to making sure that all activities were safe, suitable and fun. Silvio mas a masterful navigator on tough roads, and sometimes no roads (in the case of the salt flats. I kept thinking of the line from Back to the Future - "where we're going there are no roads!") He also kept the vehicle spotlessly clean, no easy task in that environment. These guys were great in every way, and I can't laud them enough. I must also complement Jose and Joker Expeditions. He was very prompt in responding to my many, many emails and questions, which is a great comfort when you are going with a local tour operator. Everything was as advertised and he clearly made the effort o put us in the most comfortable accommodations available at each stop, with all meals included (and delicious). What we paid for our private tour for 2 in English gave us incredible value for the money, probably since it did not involve multiple levels of middlemen as I am guessing may other tours did. The pick up in Atacama allowed us to have the itinerary we planned and I would HIGHLY recommend this agency, as well as Oscar and Silvio, to anyone considering this kind of trip. You won't regret it and you will see incredible things!

We booked this tour via Jokers Expedition which is then conducted by Salty Desert Adventures. The pre -post support provided by Jokers Expedition was excellent. This covers transfers to/from hotel to bus station n hotel room in Uyuni to shower on arrival/departure from Uyuni town to the Salt Flats. Our tour of the Uyuni Salt Flats was led by Ezequiel. He was a good coordinator n very knowledgeable of the terrain, flora & fauna, animals n birds and tried his best to a large group of 16 tourists spread over 4 vehicles. Our driver Jose is also excellent- very safe n tried with his limited English to highlight certain key features of the terrain. His music selection in the vehicle was upbeat n enjoyable. Key highlights of the trip was the photo taking sessions, surprise wine n snacks stop to see the sun set n getting close to the animals that lived in the flats. Food is kept simple but sufficient. Depending on the package, accommodation ranges from sleeping bags, shared bedroom/bath/toilets or private rooms with en-suite. The package from Jokers Expeditions came with private en-suite rooms. Be prepared for long drives, limited toilets facilities and varying weather between hot to windy chilly conditions. Our guide always ensured we r briefed on this the night before so u can prepare ahead. Overall a once in lifetime experience that one should not missed. We made new friends in the same vehicle we traveled in which is also great.

Unforgettable Day Trip with Joker Experience – A Five-Star Adventure! Our day trip through the salt desert with Joker Experience deserves nothing less than an A+ rating! Chris, our driver, and Lily, our guide, gave us an incredible experience, showing and explaining the wonders of the salt desert. We had plenty of time to soak in the breathtaking scenery and capture stunning photos. Lily, with her creative touch, took beautiful shots of us—natural, funny, and far from the usual touristy poses. It was such a unique and personal touch to the day. The lunch, along with the wine and snacks at sunset, was prepared with so much love and care, making the experience even more special. Everything was perfectly organized, and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to explore this magical place. Five stars for a day filled with memories that will last a lifetime!

best trip ever! Oscar, the guide, has explained everything to us during the long driving hours and the stops about the deserts, volcanoes, birds etc etc he showed us the stars of the southern emisphere. He has been the best guide possible. Silvio, the driver, drove the car (a Lexus 4x4 in very good conditions) for 12 hours+ without a sign of tiredness. we felt safe and sound with him. In addition he is also a superb chef. He fixed, together with Oscar, a delicious lunch in the middle of the Salar the Uyuni. An unforgettable experience the hotel chosen by the agency to spend the night was very clean and warm. The dinner and the breakfast offered were od very good quality. as we had our night bus to La Paz they even let us in a hotel room to shower and get ready for the night on the bus. so to sum up, i can only recommend them for a tour of the salar the uyuni and the deserts around the Laguna Colorada. Don’t look further

Jose was organised & responsive when we made our booking about 2 weeks before arriving in Uyuni. We had booked the sunset & stargazing private tour and the Uyuni Salt Flats & Lagoons 3 day tour. Both tours were well run and the tour guide and driver were very accomodating, helping us take some beautiful photos and providing options for us when they could. For example, it is the dry season in Uyuni and we were given the option to see reflection for the sunset & stargazing tour so we could experience sunset reflection one evening and on our first day in the 3 days private tour, we also experienced the dry season sunset. We loved the flexibility given by the tour guide & driver, so we had more photo time, skipping point of interest we were not keen to sightsee. Really appreciate the knowledgeable guide, providing great explanation & timing our visits to points of interest with minimal visitors around us & friendly driver and the Joker Expedition end to end organisation behind the scene, especially when I left my drone in the 4WD after the sunset & stargazing private tour and Jose was very responsive after hours to arrange for my drone to be returned the next day. Thank you for making these tours so memorable for us.
