Enjoy the southernmost rafting in Patagonia Argentina. An activity that mixes adventure, emotion and adrenaline. The Rio de las Vueltas offers an ideal setting for this activity. In its first section, the calm waters of the river allow us to connect with nature and contemplate the beauty of the landscape framed by the imposing Cerro Fitz Roy and its satellite needles, in addition to eventually being able to see local fauna and birds. After having covered approximately 5 kms we cross the first rapid, which the guides call "Portage", after that first rapid begins a succession of rapids of approximately 10 kms, which will cause a lot of adrenaline, fun and will give you the right dose of adventure to an experience that will awaken all your senses and will make you experience Patagonia from a completely different perspective.

Great experience combinging great view and adrenaline
Great experience with great weather! Proper rapid combo of both relaxation and adrenaline. The beginning part is relaxed with the best view of Fitz Roy, so it provided enough photo time to prevent boredom if you bring your phone with a water-proof case. The second half of the rafting only occassinally shows the main mountains but the rapids are great for easy rafting. We also saw a condor during the tour and many interesting rocks revealing geological history of this area. Highly recommended for a warm day. It might be a bit chilly when there is wind.

Unforgettable Rafting Experience in El Chaltén!
I had an amazing time rafting in El Chaltén! As a first-timer, the professional crew made me feel safe and excited. The breathtaking scenery of mountains and clear waters was spectacular. I even fell in the water, which added to the fun! I highly recommend this adventure for anyone visiting El Chaltén—it's the perfect way to experience Patagonia's beauty!

Lots of excitement
We had great fun rafting down the river with Matelo and Juan. They explained in detail all the instructions and safety measures, then made the trip lots of fun with their sense of humor. A great way to see the geology and wildlife along the river, with lots of excitement. Highly recommend.

Really incredible rafting experience in Patagonia with the best staff
The staff here are amazing. We’ve had a few rough experiences with operators in Patagonia so this was a real breath of fresh air. Lolito is an amazing guide/skipper, and these guys really show you an amazing time. Highly recommend.

Phenomenal experience
Lolito and his sons Tommy and Matteo are stupendous rafting guides! They truly are professionals with regard to safety and paddling technique and they really go out of their way to make it fun! Thanks for a wonderful day!

Perfect alternative to trekking to enjoy the vistas of El Chalten
Unbelievable value for money. The guide Lolito was excellent and could double as a stand up comedian. The journey goes down a long stretch of a beautiful glacial river with condors along the way and the view back to El Chalten is incredibke. While the rapids weren't as challenging as some other experiences I have had (although we still lost two people and an oar overboard along the way) the experience makes up for it in scenery and distance, Great way to break up days of long trekking.

A great afternoon, highly recommend
I'd really recommend this activity. A great break from hiking. Loli was a great guide, good fun and went through all the safety and instructions with humour. I was the only person on the trip without Spanish and he always ensured he translated everything for me, not just the instructions. He explained the scenery and landscape. The trip was well organised, a bus met us at the end and drove us back with coffee and snacks! A brilliant way to spend an afternoon!!

Fun, beautiful, athletic, a great experience, Patagonia at its best.
Worth it! Only 19,000 pesos (/375 for dollars). When 5 others canceled in the morning, they took me kayaking instead, even though it was just me. Thus I had 2 great guides, Ramiro and Lorry (plus the van driver Florence and their 2 kids). They didn’t make much money with just one paid client but they wanted me to experience the beauty and natural wonderland of the river Vuelta, with constantly changing views of Fitzroy and Poincelot. I felt safe at all times with Lorry taking great care to have me follow him around the trees and sandbars. I’m here for 6 weeks and this was the most fun thing I did. Highly recommended

Great rafting in El Chalten
Do not miss this adventure when you are in El Chalten!! The guide was excellent with the safety briefings and turned us in to expert rafters by the end of the trip. there was also a guide in a kayak who stayed in front of us in case we needed help. It was exciting and also provided beautiful views. A short van ride with hot beverages were provided on our trip back to the rafting center. I highly recommend this activity!

Great way to wrap up our stay in El Chaltén
Our group of six wrapped up our stay in El Chlatén with morning river rafting led by Loli, who was both highly entertaining and experienced—not just in getting us down the river safely, but also in capturing snapshots and videos of our group “in action” on his GoPro. The views of the Fitz Roy skyline were incredible and the rapids kept us engaged…and celebrating, which you will learn the meaning of if Loli is your guide. Thanks for a great time!

¡Fantastico rafting y naturaleza! Very enjoyable and safe rafting experience. Highly recommend this white water rafting if you are in El Chaltén and are looking for an extra adrenaline rush. I did this after a few days of backpacking and it was the cherry on top to my days adventuring around. Incredible beautiful scenery, amazing rock formations and geology, and outstanding views of the mountains along the river. The guides were fenomenal, definitely fit this into your schedule if you can!!!

So good I did it twice in one day!

Oh my God, what a blast!!! I booked the morning whitewater rafting trip and had so much fun that, upon return, I walked straight out of the van and into their office to sign up for the afternoon trip. Did it twice in one day and would have done a third if I could :) This is a great rafting trip because the water is huge but the rapids aren't themselves super technical, so it's exhilarating whether you are a newbie or have whitewater experience. The guides have great "crazy river man" personalities and do a fantastic job of (1) creating a jovial, loose spirit among the group, and (2) communicating safety information. They are a highly competent group of leaders -- they are able to facilitate a lot of playfulness, such as standing up in the raft through waves, etc, that is the result of them being really highly skilled on the water. I had fun jumping around in the boat and dancing and standing up, although my ACLs and knees were praying for their lives lol.

There is a safety kayaker who also takes pictures and the guides wear Go Pros, so you get great footage. Having gone both in the morning and afternoon, MORNING is much better for photos/videos if that is important to you -- the sun is behind you in the afternoon, meaning everything comes out darker. So if you care about the quality of photos, then consider doing this in the morning.

Fantastic experience. I spent a lot of time on whitewater growing up, and I found myself quite emotional at how this 10k on the river let me reconnect with those memories.

Excellent adventure for our family! We spent a beautiful afternoon thanks to Loly's great explanation and guide. Truly a divine guy with great humor, love of adventure and a lot of respect and care for nature. We truly had an unforgettable experience! Tomy in his kayak made magic in the rapids of the La Vueltas river while he was attentive to our group, he guided us and took great care of us. They both made this afternoon of rafting an unforgettable experience for our family! Thank you father and son! Highly recommended and even on the way back they gave us a hot infusion and bills! Don't forget to visit them! They are the most!

What an experience!!

What an experience. A great adventure with a wonderful scenic backdrop, but our fun but professional guide, Lolito, made our day. He put us right at ease, made sure we understood everything before things got serious, and kept us safe and calm throughout. We adventured early October and thought the waters may be too low but we were wrong. We had a fun fun time. Would thoroughly recommend.

Very nice rafting, well organized on a beautiful river

We had a great time, everything was well organized. From the locker room where we put on the equipment they gave us, transfer to the starting point, explanations (in English, because we were with 13 Germans) and, of course, the crossing along the river.
It was very nice, with good flow, to the point that we crossed the first rapid walking along the bank. After 5km of looking at the scenery, we hit the rapids and it got busier. Lalo's guide, spectacular, made us pass with excitement but quite safely and calmly. There was also marking things to see in the landscape, which is very enjoyable. There are unique views of the Fitz Roy from the river, luckily we had a clear day.

Very nice experience in Chalten!! Beautiful views from the river, different. Excellent attention from the entire team! Honest, the guide is very cool and at the end they are waiting for you with a coffee and delicious recipes! Highly recommended

Excellent experience at all levels: human quality, equipment, security. Super recommended!! The views of the Torre, Fitz Roy and the glaciers are unique from the Río de las Vueltas. Oh, with the addition of condors, guanacos and sheep. Thanks to Loli and her team.

Fantastic view of the canyon from the river!!!! Great way to immerse yourself into the town of El Chalten <3 the staff were brilliant and made sure we knew all the safety drills and most importantly have fun ! Thank you for the best memories !!!
