      One Million Stars YES 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
We we're here on honeymoon during an extremely busy time of year and, do be honest, booked this trip because there was no rental car available and we had limited time to plan. And wow!—we are ap happy we did! As experienced hikers and travelers, my husband and I were blown away by the knowledge of our guide, the thoughtfulness and professionalism of not just put guide but everyone from the company, including their reservation and booking team as well as the driver. The route was well thought and took us to the best spots one could complete in a day. The view was beautiful at so many areas and we were able to relax and trust the guide to point them out so we used our time the smartest way. We were the first up the mountain and forfed ahead during awful weather (which we wanted to do if our guide didn't mind). He was always cheery and fun! And his English was amazing too; he could discuss very complex ideas at extremely high level which is very valuable to foreigners with basic Spanish only as it allowed us to really understand a local perspective on news of the world etc. The lunch was also great and it was clear deep thought and love were taken in preparation. We could not have been happier. Oh and hopefully not relevant to anyone else, but I slipped on mud (how silly this was my worst injury in my life) and sprained/broke my ankle (awaiting diagnosis from specialist but local doctor required crutches in meantime)) and I was unable to walk. I weigh about 115 and my husband, our guide and a trail angel carried me and our things about 8km in bad conditions and rain, since emergency responders we're unavailable due to a larger accident, to a car for pickup and we arrived back still on time. This company is seriously the epitome of a guide service, everything you could hope for. Thank you to all for making our honeymoon memorable in the best of ways, we will treasure our time forever 🤍

Pedro was the BEST! Absolute highlight of our trip
My family spent 10 days in Argentina (5 of them in Patagonia) and our day trek to Laguna de los Tres with Pedro was by far our favorite experience and day. Pedro spent 10 hours with us and became like a friend by the end of the day. He is so passionate about Patagonia and hiking and incredibly knowledgable. His enthusiasm is contagious and made the very difficult hike so much fun and enjoyable. He was very patient with us as we aren't experienced hikers and always set the right expectations for what lied ahead, helping us take breaks at the right points and carving out the best path during the rocky uphill and downward climbs where the rocks are very loose. I fell on the way down and he was so caring and attentive to me to make sure I wasn't hurt. We really felt like we were in great hands. The hike itself is very hard but 10000% worth it to get the beautiful views of Laguna de los Tres. We were lucky and had a sunny/warm day with no winds. I couldn't imagine doing it in the rain and wind. Out of all the guides we had in Argentina, Pedro was by far the best!

Best hike and guide you could ask for!
Just returned from the most amazing hike to FitzRoy and Cerratorre with Pedro of Patagonia Hikes! The scenery was breathtaking but he was also easygoing and had a great sense of humor including with the kids/teens in the group. A perfect guide all around! Also - Patagonia Hikes itself was easy to book and the staff were accommodating of all our needs. We would recommend this outfit to everyone - highly professional and friendly! If I could give them 10 stars I would!

      Spectacular in every way
We just did the hike with a group of 2 families with teenagers. Our guide Pedro was amazing. The views were spectacular. You will not remember that you slpet on the ground - your head will still be in the clouds! Not to be missed.

      Mr
We had a great day out with Vincenzo. The hike is well marked but the best thing about having a guide was Vicenzo’s information about history, geography and geology of the area. We learnt a lot. The walk it beautiful and we didn’t have rain until we got back. We would recommend this tour.

      Amazing guide - incredible experience
Maria was incredibly helpful in answering all of my questions to set this up by email and whatsapp. Simon then followed up and completed our great experience as a guide. We really saw some incredible parts of Patagonia, there were some fairly scary moments, and some challenging parts, but Simon put us at ease with his confidence and competence as an experienced guide. He was very accommodating in his flexibility and presenting options during our hikes. He was patient, enthusiastic, told great stories, he was fun and very helpful. A truly unforgettable experience and I would 10000% recommend these guys again. Thanks for a great trip!

      Excellent guide services!!!
We recently returned from El Chalten where we hiked Laguna de Los Tres & Cerro Torre. The hiking is some of the best I've ever encountered -- truly world class in every way. Both the Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre enjoy a place in alpinism history. These rugged peaks with mountain lakes at their base are a spectacular sight to behold. I cannot say enough good things about the Patagonia Hikes guide services. Simone was awesome. He was friendly, knowledgeable, personable and had a wealth of mountain experience borne out of his love of climbing in this area. We shared a lot of laughter together. His good spirits and trusting care were truly appreciated. I would highly recommend this company based on my own experiences.

      Rented equipment with no issues
I was referred to this shop by the the only tour agency in El Chalten that does technical climbs on Viedma. Talk about a monopoly... Anyway, I rented the requisite rigid sole hiking boots for about $8 USD for the next day. No issues and they functioned perfectly.

      Patagonia Hikes shop
Truly an horrible experience. We just wanted to rent a tent and get some informations and we got out from there really disgusted by these two guys. All equipment was old and not reliable and this guy was the worst I've ever seen for a while, not trying to help in any way, talking really bad to their customer. So we've been to another one in la calle San Martin : Brand new tent and all stuff needed to hike/camp. In addition to that it was less expensive. I wanted to share this because we were really astonished by this kind of manner.

Terrible service, clerk unfit for working with people
We tried, on two separate occasions to rent equipment from this place, both instances were very unpleasant. The clerk we met was visibly hostile and unwilling to help. We tried to rent a steel carabiner required for the zipline portion of the passo del viento hike. Since renting equipment requires an Id, a friend retuned to the hostel to get one. While we were waiting for him to come back, for about a minute, the hostile clerk rented the carabiner to another group that came after us. He did not apologize or try to help, but rather blamed us for taking too long to get the id (we were standing there for about 60 seconds). When asking for advice, he replied dryly that he just rents equipment and that we should not bother him with questions. A second time we visited we basically got the same treatment, unfriendly and unhelpful. This is the worse service I got during my trip to South America, without exaggerating. Stay with the Main Street shops.

      Our guide was the best!
We booked through a trip planner, and are so happy with our guide! He's super friendly and knowledgable, we felt very well taken care of :) He would adjust his pace to accommodate ours (I am a slow hiker and my husband make frequent photo stops) and was very patient with us. He also knows his way around the trails and even showed us his "secret path" that took us all the way up to the top overlooking the lake on the Cerro Torre trial, that's totally breaktaking and memorable. It was raining the whole time throughout our 3 days in El Chalten, but our guide helped us push through all of our hikes and we would like to say a huge THANK YOU to him for making our trip such an epic one!!

      Excellent Guiding
My wife and I booked a three day/two night trek with Patagonia Hikes, so as to include a little more adventure than just hiking. The weather, however, did not co-operate (no surpise in Patagonia). High winds prevented us venturing up Cerro Madsen, though we still went up to the view of Fitzroy (unlike another guided group whose guides vetoed that). Patagonia Hikes also uses a private camping area rather than the public campground, so it was quieter there. The National Park service apparently advized campers in the public camping ground to not spend the night as gale force winds were forecast. Our guide had the local experience to assess our situatiuon and we spent the night. It was windy! The camp food was excellent. Patagonia Hikes adjusted to the weather conditions by offering us various choices rather than just saying nothing was possible except retreat to town. Though one can easily walk up to the view of Cerro Torre, our guide Simon Brun led us off the beaten path somewhat, adding to the enjoyment of the hike. While it is true that one can do much of the trekking in the area without a guide, for our first visit to the area it was a pleasure to spend the time with our guide Simon. Our experience there was enhanced by spending it in the company of a local; as Simon is also a local climber, anyone interested in the mountaineering history of the area will find his company all the more rewarding.

      Superb trekking adventure.
A huge thanks to Maria for helping to organise us and Simon and Guido for keeping us moving for the 4 days. We'd probably still be lost in the wilderness without them. I spoke to most of the companies in town and Maria did the best job understanding exactly what we were looking for and she made it happen at a reasonable price. I would strongly recommend Patagonia Hikes to anyone looking for adventures in El Chalten.

      Great team for day hikes
Maria and Simon are both AH-MAZING. They are warm, accommodating and really want their hiking team to get the best experience. Maria went out of her way to help my friend out with hiking boots.
