- KTCarroll00Zookeeper experience for 2Did a zookeeper experience for 2. Expensive but worth it as the proceeds go towards the welfare of the animals by helping it keep going. Zookeeper was VERY informative and we were interactive with a lot of animals. Looks like it had a lot going on for the kids as well. It can look expensive but if you consider the overall experience, time it takes you to go round, education and welfare of the animals I think it’s well worth it. Panini was delicious as well!
- ip64000Customer Service is TerribleI don't normally leave reviews on places but I felt this was necessary. We arrived today and were really looking forward to spending the day here. I am shocked by how we were treated by the staff. The children were hungry so we took them into the Cafe for something to eat. They had a choice of children's boxes Which included a drink, sandwich, crisps (Wotsits), packet of party rings and Raisans. There was a sign that stated "DO NOT OPEN BOXES UNTIL AFTER PURCHASE". So we asked what was included in the boxes as My Friends Daughter has a milk allergy. The Crisps that were included in the boxes contain Milk, so my friend asked if she could swap to the dairy free alternative packet of Crisps. She was told no but she could pay an extra 50p instead. The woman serving us abruptly put the sandwiches on the counter and said "the sandwich with the serviette is dairy free butter". Upon opening the boxes we then saw the flavour of drink was Orange Fruit shoot, baring in my the children aren't given a choice with flavours. My friends Daughter explained she didn't like Orange Juice and could she swap it for a different flavour in which the staff responded with "No, we only do Orange" Even though the chiller had different Flavours of drink. We tagged the buisness on a post about our experience and the reply was Rude and VERY unprofessional and basically called my friend a liar. They told us how they had viewed CCTV footage of the incident yet ignored messages when we asked to see said footage. The park itself is outdated in some parts and some of the enclosures look too small for some of the Animals. The Raccoons spend most of the time pacing up and down the pens. I will no doubt get a rude and unprofessional reply to my review as per most of the negative posts they've recieved on here.
- rbh2011100Ok few hours out but staff need to be more approachable for the childrenCannot fault them for the work they do taking in rescue animals however we came as a family and the lady behind the counter seemed more friendly upon arrival taking your money than when you leave. My son (6) completed the stamp trail and handed in his sheet when we were about to leave, we stood at the counter for a while, I do appreciate the lady was working the cafe, counter and doing outside jobs so that’s understandable to have to wait. However she rushed my son into choosing whether he wanted a pin badge or a figure and wasn’t the friendliest towards him. He was trying to say thank you and she rushed the next people to the counter. Maybe a little enthusiasm when the children are excited to collect their prize wouldn’t hurt. Other than that it was an ok day out with a fair amount to see but probably not something I’d visit frequently.
- michellehY8964OY00Great day outWe'd planned to visit a wildlife park while we was on holiday in Ingoldmells. We choose this as it had some animals in we'd never seen in previous zoos or wildlife parks. It's not a very big park but it was still lots of fun, my children are 13 and 11 and they loved it. They enjoyed doing the stamp challenge and getting their dinosaur badges. The cafe was very busy and we had a wait but the food was spot on and couldn't fault it at all.I was shocked but also extremely pleased at how close u could get to the animals, unlike most places where your so far away from them. It was a great day out and would definitely go again.
- 982jaimiem00BrilliantWell what an amazing little hidden gem this place is!! We went today 28/07/23, and my little boy absolutely loved it, as did I! It’s a great place that looks after and homes rescued animal’s, the staff were very attentive and very knowledgeable on the animals, which was great to see and hear. There was a great play area for the kids which was clean and very well maintained. All in all we loved this place and was more than happy to go round several times! My boy loves dinosaurs and this place had dinosaurs and dino memorabilia all throughout the park which he loved. I can definitely say we will come back when we are next here.
- samanthagP3077XE00Wont be visiting againEven now I feel disappointed. I took my 2 children in June. We went during term time due to my 12 year old daughter being autistic. We were on respite and trying to have some nice days out. I'm desperately trying to save money where I can and so got a ( days out with the kids pass) We took the 45 minute drive there which is stressful in itself for my daughter but with the promise of a good afternoon out. I got out my pass on my phone to use and it wouldn't go through, the older lady on the till did try her best and when she couldn't work out what to do she called someone. The person on the other end of the phone clearly didn't want to come and sort it out and by this time my daughter was getting very anxious, by now it'd had been 20 minutes since arriving. I just needed to get into the park and start seeing the animals for my daughter, plus then my other daughter was getting stressed seeing her sister getting anxious, knowing an autistic tantrum could start any minute. So I paid the full price, thinking to myself, it's for the animals anyway. We went around and saw the animals, there didn't seem to be any talks on about the animals, but it was term time. When we did see staff they walked past with no interaction, not even a smile. I suppose it was fine we were there to see the animals. But it was at the very end when we were about to leave. My daughters had be given the stamping chart with the promise of a small gift at the end. ( a pin badge) They went around stamping the chart which they've always loved doing since they were small. We went to the desk and no one came, my daughter cant stand to wait and really doesn't know why we have to wait.( her stress levels rising) I went off to find someone at the cafe counter, I politely asked if my daughters could collect the pin badges please. The woman didn't say anything and walked over to the counter. The girls had decided on which dinosaur badge they would like. But we got the third degree, the woman said the badges were for children, I said they are children, she asked other questions such as which voucher did we use or did we pay full price, as badges are only for people who pay full price. I felt so annoyed at being questioned, all the while just wanting to go but not wanting to disappoint my girls by not getting a badge. They always get a pin badge wherever we go as they both collect them. It ended up with the grumpy woman shoving her hand in a box and chucking any 2 badges on the counter. We left, both my daughters got a badge in the end and not the ones they would of liked. Then a stressful 45 min drive back, which should of been a happy 45 min drive. I know it's not the worst thing that could of happened, but it made for extra stress that simply wasn't called for. I will not be visiting again.
- flynnmatt00A hidden gem doing amazing work!Extremely impressed with the level of care and attention given to the rescued animals. Our toddler (almost 2) loved all elements of the trip - including the food from the cafe! There’s so much for children to be kept entertained aside from the excellent range of animals that call this wonderful place their home. All staff we came across were polite, helpful and friendly. Will definitely be visiting again next time we’re in the UK.
- guagliona00Wonderful day out! What a wonderful surprise. We’d heard of this place and knew it was a sanctuary for exotic animals and the pet trade and thought it might be a sad place because of that. It was none of those things. The animals were out and about and were obviously used to people so they were easy to see. Lynx, Bob cats, Servals, Arctic & Silver foxes, raccoons all visible. Unusual animals too like Jungle cats, Civets and Kinkajou. They are obviously all well loved and looked after and we loved seeing them. It’s not a zoo, you won’t find fancy enclosures as they obviously use all the money they raise looking after the animals after their rough start in life. The entrance doubled as shop and cafe and coffee and cake was very reasonably priced and very good. The added bonus is that a Savannah cat has her enclosure next to the till! Visit and support this place, please.
- Shelley W00Highly recommendFantastic place to go, loved the animals, play areas and the stamp collecting. My son's favourite part was the dinosaur trail which is brilliant.
- helyrawr00Love this place! We visited the other day, but were unable to complete the visit due to both the heat and illness! What we saw, was amazing! Staff were friendly, the animals were happy. We're hoping to visit again soon, and complete what we missed.
- U7816TRjoshuab00Disgusting customer experienceAbsolutely disgusted by the service provided today, given a stamping chart at reception and told by one of the employees (lovely helpful lad) that we will get a pin badge at the end if completed, to then get to the counter and be refused a badge and offered a sticker instead leaving my daughter distraught and heartbroken at the desk and not one bit of emotion shown. Will not be returning and will be recommending elsewhere to all family and friends.
- annerW5730VL00Helping rescued animalsGood to see so many ill treated and rescued animals living a better life in the tranquility of this sanctuary. Took the Behind the Scenes tour which told us the history of some of the animals. A very interesting day out.
- Jenski-Bob00Cute little animal sanctuaryCute little animal sanctuary. There is plenty of animals to see around the park. There are 2 parks and a small indoor soft play which the kids enjoy. A good afternoon out Dino part was also a hit with the kids.
- erasmus4000Family visit, would go againVisited on a weekday during term time with our four year old. Despite the weather we had a marvelous time. We saw a wide variety of animals and really enjoyed the whole experience. For those with young ones, there is ample toilet facilities, an assortment of outdoor equipment and a barn with ride on cars and a climbing frame. The cafe serves the standard range of food but what really impressed me was the knowledge of the lady who served me about gluten free options. She quickly went to check what was available and even checked the ingredients of an item I considered without being asked. Only reducing by one star as the menu was a little bit basic.
- J4c_Cx00Lovely little find for a few hours of animal fun!We had a great few hours out at the zoo. A variety of small animals and lovely staff who are happy to chat away about the animals. Was lovely to see the artic foxes shedding their winter coat, the raccoons trying to interact and the animals looked happy and well fed. One meerkat was happily climbing up the wired part of the cage to come and say hello too! The youngest children spent a little time in the soft play and park and enjoyed that. They also did a free trail and were awarded with a free pin badge. We used vouchers for entry which meant that for each full paying advert one of the children were free so it was really good value too!

Absolutely loved our trip here the other day! The staff are all really lovely and they had a lot of precautions in place for Coronavirus. The staff are also really knowledgeable on the animals, so definitely recommend talking to them if you get the chance. You can tell that they all have the animal's welfare at heart which is so lovely to see.
Our fox encounter was also so amazing! We could not fault it at all. Was so lovely to be up close to them, even got to tickle Sox! Highly recommend going, even if it is just a standard day trip!

this was best day I've had for a long time. my daughter wanted to go for her 33rd birthday so your never to old. husband and wife with their team run the place and do a grand job. I can so highly recommend to go. no matter how young or old you are. kids will love it as much as the adults. animals are so well cared for. a very happy beautiful place. my daughter and I paid to have a tour and go in enclosures. it was so informative and going in some enclosures was a privildge. will defiantly be going back. as I say it's a must to go. and only funding they get is from the visitors that pay a visit. thankyou to you all at the ark for an amazing great day out. lots of love to you all. 😘😘 x

We had such a great time visiting all the animals here at the wildlife park, we got to meet Dexter the fox he was very handsome! And fed the artic foxes. The work the the park do is truly amazing. I would 100% recommend the fox encounter or even just visiting the park to see the animals as this goes towards food and caring for them and its also such a great day out.

We visited today for the first time, really enjoyed visiting all the different animals. We chose to do the fox encounter. We had Sam who told us all about the foxes. Ours were more interested in sun bathing!! We were invited to feed the artic foxes which was amazing. Would definitely come back.

A great time meeting the foxes up close with warden, Chloe. She gave a very interesting brief of the species, their feeding routine and information on natural habitat. We met the four Red Foxes (Vulpes vulpes) - Sox, Shadow, Dexter and Lana, up close. They were very friendly and inquisitive. We also saw the Artic Foxes - Blizzard and Alaska.
The whole park is well worth a visit and we highly recommend the Fox Experience.

We visited today with our 12 year old son so that he could do his Fox Encounter. The sanctuary isn’t huge and is probably more suited to younger children however it is brilliantly run and you get to see some fantastic animals that can’t be seen elsewhere. The staff were all really friendly and we felt safe at all times. Jamie was our keeper for the Fox Encounter and he was absolutely fantastic. Very knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about what he does. He didn’t rush us, answered all of our questions and made sure we had plenty of time to fuss Sox. I would highly recommend for an experience of this kind. Thanks Jamie, you made my little boy very happy.

Jamie had a wealth of knowledge of the foxes and it was really interesting to learn new things about these amazing animals. We got to meet Sox and Shadow, and Lana and Dexter, and got to see the new members of the ark family, Blizzard and Alaska the arctic foxes.
We even got to scratch Sox behind the ears which was an added bonus and totally unexpected. Sox is such a little character!
We had a nice day here, enjoyed our lunch sitting outside though we could have sat inside. It was bright sunshine, seemed a shame to waste it.
Plenty of handwashing facilities around and about and good Covid awareness.
I love what they do here, providing a safe place for animals that might otherwise be destroyed through no fault of their own. There are even patches of overgrown grass/shrubs in enclosures for the animals to hide in should they feel the need to which I think is fab since some of them have suffered at the hands of humans, and probably don't feel terribly safe around us.
This place is a great thing. Long may it continue!
We will be back again at some point for sure

A great place that was C-19 safe.
We met all the different foxes and even managed to stroke and fuss Sox the fox.
It was great to visit Ark and see how they care for animals that are in need of a second chance. I would definitely recommend visiting for anyone that loves animals.

It was a real privilege to get up close to the foxes, although, as it should be, at all times the staff are most concerned about the comfort of the animals.
Lovely to be able to feed the goats and get close to the meerkats and other animals.
Staff all lovely and genuinely care for the animals. An ethical zoo and obviously a much better life for the animals than what they've previously had.
Gift shop and cafe well stocked... Even vegan ice-cream, can't ask for more!
PS we didn't have kids but they are very well catered for with play areas etc, and the animal enclosures all have lower view points so nobody gets left out.
