By Ez Riders NB Ltd
About
Our E-bike Foodie Tour meanders between our favourite cafes, farm shops and secret picnic spots, so you get a real taste of everything that Scotland's Food & Drink County has to offer.
Your cycling adventure begins at Ez Riders HQ, beside the magnificent Tantallon castle. Our first food stop is at Drift Cafe a unique coffee house with breath taking views over the Firth of Forth coast and the mighty Bass Rock. Here you will try something from their delicious brunch menu.
We then cycle along idyllic farm tracks, passing the stunning Seacliff beach, home to the UK’s smallest harbour. Next stop is Tynninghame a golden beach where we stop for delicious coffee and a sweet treat. Heading inland we pedal to PrestonMill in East Linton where you will be surprised with a mouth-watering picnic. Our homeward journey takes us along the John Muir way, traversing beautiful fields and woodlands. Finally, we stop for tea and a sweet treat at the WhiteKirk orangery and walled terrace.

#2 of 8 Tours & Activities in North Berwick
- TheHedgies00Better than Law CyclesGreat quality bikes and Tina was on time and flexible. Offered to pick our bike up in the centre of North Berwick, at the end of the day. Would definitely use this bike service again. I booked Law Cycles - they didn't hold the bike after booking 4 days in advance and tell me on the day they shut at midday! Tina much more service orientated 👏🏻
- JenniferHorn12100North Berwick Food TourWas booked by my partner as a birthday surprise- totally perfect!!! Bikes were easy to use, scenery was beautiful, great amount of stops and food/drinks. Amazing way to get to know North Berwick and great value for money.
- Hamish232300FABULOUS FOODIE TOURIf you are considering a really original experience then speak to Tina as she guided two (70 plus) ladies on a fabulous foodie tour around Seacliffe, Ravensheugh, Binning wood and on through Smeaton down to a perfect lunch stop at Preston Mill. The local artisan producers gave us so much variety and delicious stops along the way. The bikes are a dream to operate and take any undue effort on hills or just cruising along at a dreamy pace.
- scottaR7480SI00EZ BikesGreat way to spend a few hours. The bikes were really easy to use. We did the guided tour and saw areas outside North Berwick that we would not normally have seen. Some spectacular scenery around different beaches and through woodland. I would certainly do this again and would recommend for any age group and any fitness level. Give Tina a a call......!
- SophieH26300Excellent way of seeing lots of beautiful Scottish natureThe electric bike tour of North Berwick was brilliant! Made all the better by a really well thought out and varied route planned by Tina. Would definitely recommend and return!
- GHWashington00Fantastic e-bike experienceWe booked after speaking with Tina by phone who was very helpful in explaining the range of bikes available, local rides and sent a suggested 1/2 day route for us to try using the Komoot app. On arrival at EZ Riders we were met by Niall who was extremely helpful and explained Tina’s route again and made some additional suggestions marking them on a map which we were given to take with us. The bikes were all new, good quality and brands with a variety of types to suit everyone. Wow, what a lovely place to cycle East Lothian is! Very quiet roads, lanes and tracks which mixed the terrain and made the ride very interesting. Amazing views of the coast and countryside, great places to eat. We met several local people along the way who, like Niall and Tina, were very friendly and keen to chat and point things out to us to ensure we enjoyed our ride. Definitely worth using these people, they are so friendly and helpful!
- 161reenas00Amazing electric bike experienceAbsolutely amazing experience for the whole family. The owner Tina was fantastic and led us to the John Muir way. We thoroughly enjoyed a few hours exploring the country side and secliffe! The bikes were amazing but just need to be careful on the main roads. Highly recommended 👌
- Jean R00Fun on an e-bikeI had an excellent time exploring the North Berwick area on my own for a week while my partner was sailing. No worries about tackling hills or straying too far. The bike came with a charger, locks and a phone holder so I was good to go. Technical support from the team was great and nothing was too much trouble.
- Catherine200000000Fat bike funFantastic way to explore lots of East Lothian. In 3 hours we managed miles of beaches, forests and lakes. The fat bikes were great and the throttle a welcome boost going up hills!
- Linda250200So much funI had the best day venturing out with friends on the electric bikes. Such a giggle and so much fun. A great way to see more of the surrounding area of North Berwick. Will definitely hire them again and will encourage family and friends when visiting North Berwick. Would recommend incorporating a stop at Tyninghame Smithy for coffee and cake during your ride too.
- Sophie_McAndrew100Excellent electric bike hireAbsolutely amazing experience and brilliant way to explore the coastline! Tina is a fabulous friendly host and recommends great routes to follow and routes which avoid cars. It was great to discover secret beaches inaccessible by cars too. We had an absolute blast, a great and memorable day out. Electric bikes are great for everyone/all abilities and take the chore out of exploring. We would definitely hire again from here- fantastic place! Thank you again!
- 372gilia00EZ riders is worth your moneyAn absolute blast. The explanation was great and the track recommendations were great and suited for our level. This is an experience for any level, with complete freedom to choose how adventurous you want to be. I highly recommend getting on an EZ riders bike and exploring North Berwick's landscapes.
- JasperBunny00A must if you are in North BerwickI have hired ebikes from Ez Riders twice now! Once with two friends and once with my Dad (who will hate me for saying this) but is in his 70s. The bikes are so much fun to ride and let you access some of the best countryside that Scotland has to offer. The routes I have taken have gone along Seacliff beach, which is often mentioned as one of the most beautiful beaches in Scotland, Tyninghame beach which is vast and just stunning (take your swimming stuff and stop for a dip), Binning Woods, the John Muir way and the secret (shhh) and very beautiful Balgone Estate. Hiring ebikes from Ez Riders gives you coastal, woodland and trail riding, all in one trip. Tina will give you all the instruction you need and then you are away. Easy as that. I really recommend it if you live in East Lothian or are just visiting. It gives you East Lothian at it's best :)
- lindawestgarth00Do not leave NB without doing this activity this summer !Fantastic activity for teenagers and senior adults alike. All very manageable, good tuition at outset, great route suggested - managed to stay off all main roads all the way to Dunbar. Fantastic sense of freedom and the knowledge that the bike is doing the hard work !! Thank you Niall for a great morning activity. Thoroughly recommend.
- saraL2157OV00Great Day outWe had a fabulous half day on the E bikes from Ez Riders. The bikes are easy to use and Tina made sure we all knew how the gears worked and how to get the best out of the bike depending on the terrain. We followed the John Muir way to Binning wood and then round the coast where cars are not permitted but bikes are. We had 2 bikes that have a seat for a child behind and my nephew and niece loved it. Cracking day - thank you

Four family members celebrated my birthday with a wonderful e bike tour visiting the beaches, woodlands, fields and a mill, on the outskirts of N Berwick, with delicious food on route. The bikes were correctly chosen for our height/gender and mostly in good working order (although one had a sticky gear, for which the organiser was v apologetic ). The route is mostly on flat terrain and with the assisted power the hills were easily negotiable; thus the trip would also suit less experienced cyclists. The food was well sourced and included typical Scottish produce, of perfect quantities for us. However if the tour is attended by youngsters, maybe more would be needed? Whether this could be ascertained in advance: also perhaps a good idea to inform cyclists of what is being ordered in the local cafe. All in all a most memorable excursion!
