- SANDIW830 contributionsFun morning on the Outlaw Trail!!The trip was amazing. Our guide,JC was excellent. He was so knowledgeable about the area, wildlife and history. JC made the trip very interesting with his stories. The ride gets bumpy but it was not that bad. JC was a great driver. We made a few stops for photos and to walk around.Written September 17, 2024

- Madpayne0 contributionsBest Way to Experience SedonaThis was such an amazing way to experience Sedona! It was just us and one other couple so we had plenty of time and attention. The scenery was spectacular and our guide, Michael, was incredibly knowledgeable and thorough in his explanations of all the sites and the history of the area. He also was so helpful in providing suggestions for further exploration of Sedona after the tour. It was a great adventure and just a lot of fun!Written September 13, 2024
- topsyturvey20160 contributionsA very worthwhile excursionWe had a really great day with our guide Michael. He made sure we saw all the highlights of Sedona with interesting information and great humour. Certainly was value for the cost. The benefit for the travellers only briefly visiting the area is that you get an excellent overview without the stress of the navigation and driving yourself. Highly recommended.Written September 10, 2024
- Roving278685830510 contributionsQuite an adventure with JC!This tour was awesome! My husband and I had a blast! Our guide was JC who shared a wealth of information with us about the local flora and fauna, as well as very interesting history of the indigenous people who populated the area. - Sightsee634892024280 contributionsBreathing and PeacefulBeautiful place. •Parking/Church gates open 9am-4:30pm. •Free entry, being a church, donations are still appreciated for lighting of candles or just for maintenance •Parking is Free but lot can only fit maybe 30 cars at a time, but there’s a free shuttle you can take (find it in nearby shuttle stops) or just drive around to wait your turn. •Gift shop in basement with extremely reasonable prices. •From parking to church is a little bit of a steep walk (about 200 ft) but there’s also a person on a golf cart that can drive you up/down for a tip$. •It was 88 degrees F (Sept) and it was not terribly hot due to a breeze, but take a water bottle—only a tiny corner of shade on the side of the church that’s always busy. •Inside the church is pretty warm. No AC, but doors are left opened and gift shop in basement is cool. •Amazing views guaranteed •Average 12-18 min drive from the main strip in Sedona. •From parking lot to church is about a 3min Walk—mostly paved.Written September 7, 2024
- MARYE420 contributionsAmazing Locally Operated Jeep TourOur guide was JC. I have traveled lots all over the world and have had some really good guides. JC would definitely rate in the top 10. He was friendly and EXTREMELY knowledgable about every aspect of the area including wildlife, plants, geology, terrain, culture, history and so much more. It was very interesting. I know I learned a lot I will never remember and that's OK. The scenery was wonderful and we stopped at an amazing location at sunset to take pics and ask questions and of ceourse he knew all the answers. He showed us how to confirm energy in the earth. I was told to take the sunset tour and was very happy I did. It is a tour and guide I will always remember.Written September 5, 2024
- Vacation680984294760 contributionsA MUST DO!If you want to experience the true beauty of Sedona, then you need to take an off road Jeep tour. Arizona Safari Jeep Tours is the PERFECT company to use! We are repeat customers and I can’t say enough good things about this business. I love that they are locally owned and operated. I love that from check-in to the event wrap up, you truly feel like ‘one of the family’. It is a personalized experience that will make you laugh and smile. Our driver, Joe, was a fantastically seasoned guide who presented us with a bunch of local information – some of which I didn’t even know as an Arizona native. We had scheduled this event to celebrate my teenage daughter’s birthday and couldn’t be more pleased with the purchase. Her laughter and smile that stretched from ear to ear was well worth the price of admission. We will be back!!Written September 4, 2024
- GoPlaces130482624070 contributionsAmazing Experience!!This was my first time in Sedona and thought a tour of the area would be an amazing idea. We got Michael as our tour guide and he was absolutely amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable not only of Sedona as a whole, but each stop he made there was a story/information to go with it, he was very friendly and he remembered everyone’s names which just made everything so much more personable. There was never a dull moment during our tour and I’m so grateful. I was able to get lots of beautiful pictures and Michael took some wonderful pictures for us as well. I 100% would not only recommend this tour to anyone coming to Sedona but also Michael as well. I don’t know if we would have had such an amazing time if it wasn’t for him. Besides Michael, the entire staff was very friendly which made the whole experience even better!!Written August 31, 2024

Due to road construction we spent approximately 40 minutes of the tour on city streets and highways. We also expected that since this was a sunset cruise we would be at a spot that we could view a beautiful red rock sunset. We instead were driving on the freeway as the Guide pointed out restaurants and other non sunset related points of interest.
Our guide, Wyatt, was friendly and knowledgeable, but the itinerary was not as advertised.
Disappointed and would not recommend this tour, especially not at this price point of $90 per person. Hopefully you can improve the description and the itinerary.

Unfortunately we cannot control when or where road construction will be. We would've loved to hear about your experience while you were still in town. We hope in the future to have a second chance, but please give us a call directly to assure you are getting on the tour that is right for you!

The two hour sunset tour excursion started on time however the guide did not manage the time and “hung out” at one stop with other groups. I guess she realized we were late and all of a sudden hurried us onto the jeep promising we would still make it to the spot for our sunset pics. We did not het there and she just pulled off the side of the rode hoping to find a spot clear of trees when we pointed out the sun was setting quickly. I have attached a sample of my “sunset pics” from the side of the highway which I could have easily driven to myself. The guides should have schedules to follow and use timers if needed.

Beau was a fabulous guide for this scenic sunset departure tour which took our group of 12 down Dry Creek Rd and on to an "off-road" adventure into the Palatki Ruins. The acoustics were great allowing us to hear every word of Beau's endless information about the ancient dwellers of the area and its geology. Getting out of the jeep periodically for short walks allowing more upfront viewing of the cliffs plants, water, etc, made the tour time fly by. Beau also held our attention with his periodic visual demonstrations of how the early inhabitants managed to survive by using the resources that surrounded them in nature, such as the Yucca plant which was used for everything from weaving baskets to making soft diapers for babies. Finally, the guide was so friendly and willing to take photos of all of us, including selfies. This is a must-do experience and we recommend it highly.

Four of us took the Red Rocks tour on Oct. 28, 2020 and Deven was our guide. Very scenic trip using Safari's new Gladiator Jeeps and the ride though rough was relatively smooth in the well dampened Jeeps. Deven was a particularly excellent guide. He's personable, considerate, and very knowledgeable. He added immensely to the joy of the excursion. Highly recommend Safari Tours and Deven.

It's been two weeks since I took the tour, so I'm not sure which one I did, but it was awesome. As was Joe, our guide. There were seven of us on a vehicle that could have taken probably 12-14. We went off road back to where we had great wide views of the mountains. Joe even used our own phones and got each group/couple in a panoramic picture, and took the time to show me how to take them. He said it was easy, and it was. The views were spectacular. We went at 4:30 and were up there around sunset, providing fantastic views and pictures. And Joe's banter with us and the knowledge he provided about the area, archeological and historical, made it that much better. It was the just the right amount of information, and the right information to share. And he even told us about the famous vortexes in the area (he does a vortex tour), and then showed us what to look for (you'll have to take the tour to find out :)), found a spot, and brought out his dowsing rods so we could all experience the pull of the rods in that spot. I'd recommend Joe and the sunset ride to anyone. Great guide and tour! Nice job, Joe. Thank you!

This tour exceeded our expectations so much! It was by far our favorite part of our trip. Our tour guide, Doc, was so knowledgeable about the area, wildlife, history, etc. and would stop the Jeep and show us different things that we never expected to see. The views were beyond beautiful and we left with so much knowledge we didn’t expect to receive! My boyfriend and I chose the tour that left in the evening (sunset tour) and we definitely made the right choice. I highly recommend that anyone who wants to really see the red rocks of Sedona and learn about its history take this tour. Thank you for a great experience Doc!! We will definitely be back for more tours!

Reasonably priced and we were the only family on the Jeep which was amazing because our tour guide (Levi) was able to spend more time showing us stuff. Levi was awesome in helping us with our one year old and car seat. This company will go out of their way to accommodate your family or group.

This was our first jeep trip after coming to Sedona several times. Wills, our driver, was a fountain of stories, facts and mystical tales he had researched from years traveling this area. Mostly in Boynton Canyon, we stopped to take pictures a couple of times, once at a vortex spot, where my wife showed off her electrical powers, divining a vortex spot. Willis knit it all together with stories I reserve judgement about, but it was an enjoyable tour and worth the time.

There were 9 of us in a group and Arizona Safari Jeep tours were able to provide a jeep that could fit all of us. Our tour guide Steve was friendly and knowledgeable (and a great driver): he told us about geology, various local plants, and just Sedona in general. We took the sunset tour and it was beautiful. This tour was not very bumpy at all - mostly dirt road with some rocks and some hills but the views were gorgeous. This is also a locally owned company and not a chain and we like to support local businesses. Highly recommend!

Hi We are a group of 11 which includes one 5 year old , two 15 year old girls and 8 adults. Could we all be in the same vehicle?
Written January 15, 2023
The seats run along the side of the “Jeep” it actually has seatbelts so I would call ahead. The ride is rough so I caution you to put the five year old between two adults. Enjoy!

There is only myself there is no option to book for one person ?
Written September 7, 2022
If you book directly on their website, there is an option for just one person. If you go to safari jeep tours com and then select Outback Tours, under the Jeep Tours drop down, you should be able to book for just one person. The trip advisor system won't let me include a website link, otherwise I would have included it here.

Yes. It was a great tour and took me to the places that would have been hard to get to with my limited timing. The guide was very good!
Written January 28, 2022
I’m not sure. It’s best you contact the Jeep tour and ask. Good luck.

The tour says it's two hours but you answered someone that it's four hours. How long is the tour? I would love a four-hour tour if you have it?
Written May 8, 2019
This tour was NOT 4 hours. More like almost 2 if people do get out at certain spots of interest.
