Overview
See Sedona’s red rocks and mountain peaks on a breathtaking 1.5-hour on-road Jeep tour to Airport Mesa, the Chapel of the Holy Cross and Cathedral Rock. Take in sweeping views of the colorful scenery, and learn the history of this remarkable region’s people and landscape; follow your guide on a short hike to a picture-perfect vista, watch for the birds, lizards and mammals that make their home in the Sonoran Desert. Capture unforgettable images of soaring rocks and rugged plains, then finish the excursion at your Sedona hotel.
What to Expect
Please note: This is NOT an off-road experience.

After morning pickup from your Sedona hotel or meeting at the tour office on State Route 89A, your guide will take you on a quick 10-minute drive to Airport Mesa, where you'll soak up views of the many rock formations Sedona is famous for. Take a short walk to the overlook spot to capture postcard-worthy shots of Mini-Mesa, Courthouse Butte, Bell Rock, Cathedral Rock, Cockscomb, Chimney Rock, Capitol Butte, Coffeepot Rock, The Fin (also known as Ship Rock) and Steamboat Rock.

Next, hop aboard an open-air Jeep and travel along a paved road to your next scenic overlook. Admire views of the wondrous desert landscape comprised of jagged red peaks, vast plains, desert brush and river streams as your guide explains the interesting history of Sedona, which was once a rough-and-tumble cowboy town.

Make your way to views of Cathedral Rock, one of the most famous rock formations in all of Sedona and one of Arizona’s most-photographed sites. Spend time here taking in the gorgeous desert landscape, camera in hand.

After your time here, reflect on the amazing desert scenery you’ve just encountered on the drive back to your Sedona hotel.

Please note: This is NOT an off-road experience.

beautiful scenery

We chose the "easy on the asphalt" tour but wish we would've chosen a tour that got us a little closer to the beauty of the red rocks. The open air jeep was a bit worn but was comfortable enough. It was supposed to be...More

The tour is interesting but we never got out of the jeep. Its a quick overview of the city and the sites maybe good if you want to come back and visit the others in detail. While the driver does pull off the side of...More

A great tour ...with a few caveats.

I must first emphasize that our guide, Matthew, was terrific....friendly, professional and very knowledgeable about Sedona. In addition to giving an informative dissertation on the rock formations, he provided interesting information about the history and development of Sedona....including how the city got its name. We...More
