What is Travelers’ Choice?
Tripadvisor gives a Travelers’ Choice award to accommodations, attractions and restaurants that consistently earn great reviews from travelers and are ranked within the top 10% of properties on Tripadvisor.
The Crab Route that we propose from Kaitek Viajes has value-added services, such as a trekking through Cascada del Duende for everyone, and a complete and free snack in a beautiful natural and ancestral environment in Laguna Victoria, connected to the Lasifashaj River . Both bodies of water were navigable sites for the Yámana, native canoeists from Ushuaia. We include lunch in a classic fisherman's restaurant, with a panoramic view of the Beagle Channel, and where you can have lunch of the "Centolla Fueguina" natural, au gratin or in butter. Our 4x4 vehicles, the experience of the guides, and the off-road tours make this service so special and differential. You just need to decide to travel and we do the rest!

Really get into the countryside by exploring the off road tracks around Ushuaia
Fun day out exploring off-road area around hidden lake and lake Fagnano. Motorcycle museum and gin distillery were an added bonus. Our driver Alan was skillful on the very bumpy 4 wheel drive tracks. He was so very informative about the area's nature and geology and a great cook of our BBQ lunch with Argentinian Malbec at the hut at Lake Fagnano. Fabulous way to see area around Ushuaia, thanks😄

A pleasant walk with interesting insights
This was a low-key tour of some interesting historical elements of the town. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we learned the significance of areas and buildings that we had not noticed in passing. It could be improved by having a meeting place down at the waterfront, where the actual tour starts, rather than up the steep hill at their office.

        Great Guide - Poor tastings
Nice guide, Brian, with good mood and knowledge. It was only the 2 of us at the tour. The museum was closed due to local holiday. Beer tasting and chocolate tasting likewise not available for same reason. The option we got was far from modest expectations - coffe and a cake. The cake seemed to be from yesterday. We would have like a better offer, there was much more to get at the coffe shop.

TLDR: Do the crab route experience instead of this one. It's not worth the extra money.
We chose this experience and got combined with the crab route group. Do the crab route instead of this one. If I was reviewing the crab route experience. I would give it a 5 star. I'll explain First our day was changed. It's normal to fill the group. Adam our host was great. Amazing. Knowledgeable. Great driver. And he cares. But this is not a cooking class We were with two couples who chose the crab route. We went to the moto museum. I loved it! Beautiful spot for hot chocolate and crossiant. Adam stopped and explained on the way. Saw a dead whale! Amazing. Then lunch was the awkward part. It was lunch. Not a COOKING CLASS as listed. (So if they change the listing in the future. Then it's fine. As per my viator/tripadvisor history. I take cooking classes everywhere I visit) Ceviche was served to the other guests. All beautifully decorated We were given the ingredients on the plate to combine it. So we quickly threw everything in to try to catch up. We got a gratin course like everyone else. Then the other guests were served a small pan of crab gratin and we waited. This is the AWKWARD part because the others were waiting for us to eat or not eat ... Then the restaurant brought out a pot of water. They made a show of my partner putting in the precooked crab into the pot. (Thru translation they said it was just dead. Not precooked) But then took the pot back into the kitchen to cook it. Then 5 mins later. The crab was brought out and we ate it. But .... Since the other guests only got crab gratin. They were done eating. They sat there and waited for us to start/finish our king crab It was long. It was messy. It was awkward they had to wait. The timing was incorrect. Also as a person who worked for the newfoundland Atlantic fishery system The crab was precooked and a little stale. Cooking time: even smaller Atlantic crab takes more than 5 mins to boil. However my partner who loves seafood said the crab was fine. I'm picky from my nfld work. This was not a cooking class as listed.

Operator cancelled within 24 hrs of the tour when all other options were sold out.
Operator cancelled with less than 24 hrs before the start of the tour for ‘operational reasons’ whatever that means. Several other ships in port the same day and all other tours were booked so we were left without options.

        Interesting Historical Tour.
We got off to a rough start over miscommunication over the meet-up spot, but Brian more than made up for it. We visited many historical sites along the harbor and cental part of Ushuaia. Don't expect this to be a food tasting tour. We got a voucher to taste three types of beer at a little bar when the walk was over. No food. No chocolates.

Wonderful afternoon seeing lakes and enjoying Whisky tasting.
This tour was well worth the time and money. Gabriel was an expert driver, attentive and an excellent chef. Bryan was very knowledgeable about Whiskey and had a wealth of information. We highly recommend this experience. The guide and drive gave us very personal attention.

        Nice time at the lakes
A wonderful day in the mountain offroading and enjoying the lakes. The barbeque lunch was delicious. Adam was an awesome driver/guide.

Too far to go for too little to see.
Were crammed in the back (third row) of a mid-size SUV for 7+ hours to go eat an empanada and fish with mozzarella. The food was great, but not worth the drive, cost, and discomfort. The abandoned boat is cool and all, but it truly is a waste of an entire day in Ushuaia. Go for a hike, instead.

        Nice day out
Very nice day. Our guide Lucas was very knowledgeable and friendly, we visited some very nice places. Asado was delicious. The only thing for me is that I like more "active" excursion, but that's just a personal preference.

        Good tour, great guide
Great experience with our guide Matius, who was our guide, driver, and chef for the afternoon. He was very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna, took us through some great countryside, and then served up a tasty asado to two rather fussy eaters. Luckily we were the only 2 passengers, as I thik a full jeep would be rather cramped. Thanks Matis, you've earned your chefs apron!

        Changed times
They change pick up time the day before for morning to afternoon. Couldn't do it due to another tour already reserved. When you get these tours in advance and the tour company confirmed but at the last minute don't have a pick up for the time you were confirmed your plans really get messed up thanks to them.

Actually, because of the bad weather, they canceled the trip. But where is my refund?
Actually, because of the bad weather, they canceled the trip. But where is my refund? The front desk told me that they would process the refund, but I have never received it after so long. I don't have time to process it further.

Great day trip to Puerto Almanzos with Santi. He was a great guide during the whole trip but also a great driver as conditions were a bit tricky because of icy roads. The food at the restaurant was also really good.I would definitely recommend this day trip for people who are looking for exploring the area and having an amazing lunch in the port.

Excellent experience, very well organized and without rush of schedule. The gastronomy of El Gran Chaparral to recommend, careful quality and very good care, work done with passion by Araceli.
The agency on point throughout the tour, the Gabriel Guide of 10, nothing to criticize. Without a doubt to recommend!!

I loved the experience, at first you can underestimate the village Almanza that is in the middle of nowhere, but if you like to enjoy nature and you like food, this experience is for you.
I had the trip of Kaitek Trips with Gabriel that is a super guide not only entertain you, but you enjoy every moment in its journey. (You can also rent a car, and go on your own, but Reservation beforehand wherever you want to eat.)
In Almanza, one of the southernmost towns in the world and we arrived at the restaurant @Casa_nomadas-almanza (Look it up in IG) where they closed the rest for us and we enjoyed a 4-step dining experience with a super local and varied menu. I recommend, the rest of Fede and his chef, who attended us wonderfully!!

We did this tour my boyfriend and I with Matías as Guide and Driver. The truth was all excellent, an experience that cannot be lost in Ushuaia.
We met by the hotel on time, we took Breakfast on the shores of Victoria lagoon, then passed through a panoramic spot where you can see Chilean island.
We continued with a mini trekking of approximately 20 minutes, there we could see the waterfall of the goblin (beautiful) and to close, we were taken to a restaurant where food and attention 10 points.
      They exceeded our expectations!!

      P. D. Total genius Matías, backed up a bit so that I could take a photo I wanted to take with me as a souvenir!!!

Spectacular excursion from start to finish, led by Gabriel Borrelli in an excellent way.
We went with another couple in a 4x4 who were very good travel companions, we visited incredible places, we were able to film the flight of a condor that came incredibly close to us.
Lunch in Puerto Almanza was delicious, where they delighted us with crab dishes.
I recommend this excursion, it is an incredible experience.

Nice to get out if Ushuai & see the country, however value for money - poor : /
Food was disappointing, small portions & lots of orange peel?! We have never paid so much for a day out & we were really looking forward to a delicious experience, left feeling flat & ripped off

The trip was fantastic. With only 2 other people, our guide Matheus catered for both Spanish/Portuguese & English. He provided wonderful local knowledge throughout the trip. Lunch at Port Almanz was wonderful - mussels, giant crab (gratin) & dessert. Was very good.
      Definitely a worthwhile day trip
