Overview
Travel to Tierra del Fuego National Park aboard the heritage End of the World train for a scenic and historical trip to Argentina’s only coastal national park. The rail line follows the route of the original convict train that ran in Ushuaia from 1910 to 1947. Learn about the history of the region as you take in a remote landscape dotted with rivers, waterfalls, forest and mountains. Have the option to remain for the day or longer when you reach the National Park station, or return on the same day.
What to Expect
Make your way to End of the World Station a few minutes before your preferred departure time to board The End of the World Train. The first stop along this historic narrow-gauge railway is La Macarena Station, where you'll have about 15 minutes to disembark for photos or a short walk. Listen for the train whistle indicating it's time to go.

Back aboard, the train will continue into Tierra del Fuego National Park, the only coastal national park in Argentina. Pass through an area known as the Tree Cemetery, where convicts once cleared trees more than a century ago. Cross over the Pipo River, and after about an hour on the train, arrive at National Park Station.

From here, you're free to explore the national park for the remainder of the day (or longer), or return on the next train back to End of the World Station. The entire roundtrip journey aboard the train last about 1 hour and 40 minutes. Throughout the journey, a multilingual guide will be on hand to offer information in English. This tour is wheelchair accessible.

Please note: Entrance fees, excursions, and accommodations within Tierra del Fuego National Park are not included. Make sure to check when the last train departs National Park Station when you disembark.

Expensive but a must do

The ride is a bit hooky, but they do make a real effort to put on a great display of this rather short length and slow train. It is expensive as you have to get here from town and pay the National park fee on...More

Very small carriages - but a great riide

Ushuaia is a wonderful place to visit. The train ride is an opportunity to step back in time and understand the history of Ushuaia. The train itself is compact - but great scenery and it stops along the way to get out and take photos.More

No, possibly you may see it in the distance but the train route is very very short, less than 8km loop, so you can almost walk faster than the train- certainly run faster.

You should be able to book it via your cruise ship excursions if that is the boat referred to in the question.

One way is an hour with a 15 min stop. Prices are for one way. Not sure about return as it was part of a tour.
