Departs from the hotels in the morning to travel the 80 kilometers tha stands along “El Calafate” and “Perito Moreno” glacier, the only one left in the world that keeps moving forward. During our trip we’ll meet Andean foothill’s beautiful places passing right next to Argentine lake. After crossing Centinela and Mitre rivers we’ll arrive at “Brazo Rico” to enter the Glaciers National Park. The icebergs floating in the water will start to appear while bordering the “Lago Rico” till we can finally appreciate the whole magnitude of the natural wonder that has been declared by the ONU as humanity heritage. Also we have time to walk the different paths that the runway has and to eat at the restaurant turning back to El Calafate.

The highlight of our 3 week trip in Argentina
We rented a car and were able to take our time at each spot we stopped throughout the park. We took the boat tour to touch the glacier and I am glad we took the time to do that. The boardwalks were amazing and we will all the ones that were open which I think were the blue, green and orange. With each step and angle you see something different. It was a full 9 hour day at the park for us. We took our own food as there was only a snack bar open when we were there.

In our top ten walks--in the world. But take this approach!
When Covid finally allowed us to go to Patagonia, the Fitz Roy walks were our first five-night stop. We chose shoulder season to reduce the crowds and were blessed with perfect weather. There were enough trails to easily accommodate our good luck. As for the walk to Fitz Roy, we did some reading and chose to start up Rte 40 just past El Pilar at Rio Electric trailhead. (We had a car--highly recommended luxury). This avoided the crowds leaving from out of the town and in our opinion, the much more scenic initial approach. At 70 and 68, we are not destination hikers, but rather seek hikes filled with beauty all along the way. We've walked all over the world, but this ties for first place. The famous peaks and spires, glaciers and their lakes and rivers, lingua forest, river valleys... The last bit is shared with those hiking the out-of-town route and got crowded. It gets you to the lake below the glacier and peaks. A steep up-and-down of one km each way. Worth it for many but an afterthought for us.

VERY DISORGANIZED. ZERO RESPECT FOR PEOPLE’s TIME AND PLAN.
DO NOT RECOMMEND! We all booked this activity for 8 am along with our friend who is traveling with us, and now all of a sudden a day before our trekking activity, they are telling us they will pick us up at 11 am three hours after our friend who is staying in the same hotel with us. After informing them we would need to be picked up at the same time, they refused using the excuse of “The time of your pick up depends on the location of your hotel”, even though we are all staying in the same hotel. We did not fly across the continent and pay more than $600/person for a single day activity to be treated like this. We will be seeking a full refund from TripAdvisor.

          Bus tour
Narration good, but bus very crowded and many audio hookups were broken. Actual tour routes very good. Buenos Aires is a huge old city. A problem with tickets was resolved onsite but only because a bystander was kind enough to translate the problem with downloading the ticket. The actual bus personnel were not helpful at all and simply refused us passage.

Great way to get a birds eye view of the city
Go early! We got to the bus stop first - thank goodness. Behind us was a long line. They only accept Argentine Pesos. Most of the tourists had to find a bank and get Pesos. The top had a small area that is air conditioned. I sat in that part due to the heat and sun and my sister sat on the top without the AC. She got a sunburn but better pics. Be sure to have a hat and sunscreen if you ride on top. We spent 3 hours on the bus for the red and blue routes. Every stop we made there was a long line waiting to get on the bus but we had no room. The audio was poor and after a while we gave up listening to the garble. We did get a great overview of the city. It was a perfect way to see a lot in a short amount of time. We did not have time to do the green route but wished we could have continued. If you have one day or a week in beautiful Buenos Aires, it is worth the time at the beginning of your trip. It helps you get your bearings and you can decide what you want to see up close.

          Ideal to see the city
It is a bit expensive, but it gives you enough time and flexibility to see the main spots in this big city, and hop-on and hop-off when you want to see a bit more walking around. There are comments in many languages through the earplug they give you when going on board. The top floor is open. Tickets can be bought when entering the bus at each stop, but you may need cash in local currency. Otherwise you can buy through internet or at bus stop zero.

Fun time experiencing and getting to know carnival
We did not take this specific tour but did the carnival experience as part of another tour. The experience gave us an opportunity to understand better both the history and pageantry of carnival as well as the competition aspect of it. We had no idea about any of this. Not only was it informative, but a lot of fun. We would highly recommend including the carnival experience as part of one’s time in Rio.

Great way to get an overview of the city.
We took all the routes the bus offered. It was a great way to get an overview of the city. There was always a seat and the bus was timely. The headphones worked for English but they were not always as timely nor as informative as I would have liked. Overall if you want to really see the city I don’t recommend it. But if you want to get your bearings it is great.

The entrance costs $2500 for Argentines and you can go up to 72 hours later once again and they will charge you half. When you arrive at the parking lot, it is advisable to take the free van that takes you up (it leaves all the time). This way you don't have to climb as many stairs during the visit as if you were starting from the bottom (from the side of the beach and the restaurant), which is everything on the rise. When you get to the top you take the path on the left side, you take the entire red path that you start at the bottom and then you go up and turn around and there you take the orange one that you go to the right. That one ends on the beach. With this circuit you will see the glacier from all perspectives. The restaurant is open until 4 p.m. and there is an indoor area for pedestrians.

The Perito Moreno Glacier is a wonder of nature. There is no photography or filming that does it justice. The experience of being in front of that mass of ice that seems to be illuminated from within with bluish and iridescent lights is indescribable.
Very good services and the way in which everything is organized for the visitor. Perhaps to improve the gastronomic offer, the only place enabled to eat gets too crowded, so travel agencies recommend bringing food.
It is a must-see in Argentine Patagonia.

Wonderful setting, it is the second time we have gone and it never ceases to surprise. It is worth the walk on the glacier, the navigations on Lago Argentino are worth it and the walkways are worth it. A gift from nature. And if you also get a driver like Sergio and a guide like Amneris Sanguedolce, (Prestige Tourism), on the excursion, you receive a free history, geography, botany and zoology class, in addition to a lot of cordiality and friendliness.

Describing this icon of planet Earth is impossible. You have to go and experience it in person. It is the majestic and solemn silence, only pierced suddenly by the roar of the blue ice breaking and sinking into the turquoise waters of Lake Argentino, or walking in total silence among the murmur of the water and birds, hypnotized by tremendous beauty. It is a feeling of total excess. Exciting to tears. The walkways give different perspectives, all incredible. The boat rides, the walks on the glacier, everything is incredible and unmissable. It has to be done. There is an excellent cell phone signal, to make video calls to everyone and try to share even a little the emotion of being there.

We hired the Glacier Trekking excursion through Hielo y Aventura.
They picked us up at the hotel at the agreed time. We sail to the Glacier.
Then, equipped with crampons and helmets, we walked on the Glacier.
The experience exceeded all of our expectations. The landscape is sublime and unlike anything one has previously known.
The immensity of nature is magnificent.
The Ice and Adventure team deserves a separate chapter. Micaela and Diego guiding us during the bus trip driven by Pablo.
Then on the walk the professionalism and warmth of Vicky and Gabriel. Congratulations!

Anything written about this place would be redundant and insufficient. It is a dream landscape, where nature is the protagonist. The trails are easy to follow and everywhere there is a new perspective on the site. I recommend the orange walkways, which have the best views. A true global natural wonder. One of those places where you have to go once in your life. In my case it was the fourth time.
The only “spot” is that at the entrance to the Park there are no open businesses to buy water or snacks.
