This tour is a "must do" if you are intereted in getting a true feel for Bariloche. Diego gives a university quality presentation during the one and one-half hour walking tour. We finished the tour with an appreciation of the three waves of immigration that shaped the founding and development of the town. Absolutely fascinating!

Excellent tour!! Diego is very knowledgeable and an excellent teacher, making sure that everyone heard him and that we could ask any questions. Very fascinating review of German immigration into Argentina, which was much more than I realized. Interesting stops along the way to highlight these facts. Well done and must if you are at all interested in this part of history.

We really enjoyed this tour with Diego. He was extremely informative and gave a great history of the area! The tour was the perfect amount of time and did not feel too long or too short. I would recommend doing this tour early on your visit to Bariloche, as Diego offered some great tip for restaurants and activities in the area.

Diego was a phenomenal guide and answered every question in detail (yes, even the nonsensical one about Hitler escaping to South America). We already knew about the Nazi history but were unaware of the first two waves of German immigrants. I found the story of Otto Meiling very interesting. I especially enjoyed hearing how Sam Donaldson went to find Richard Kopps only to also discover Priebke. At least one of them finally faced justice.
