About the operator
- S2540GIdavids00Incredible experience! It was an incredible experience! Even though it was rainy the trip was incredible. Amazing crew. Since they picked us from our rendezvous point until we reach the port and then the actual trip crew was amazing. Everything went smoothly and on time.
- ArmirSh00Buy your tickets directly from Turisul. 30%-40% cheaper.Don't buy this. You can go to the boat's agency online or in store. It's either Cau & Cau or Turisul that operate those boats. The price is $40 each. This guy literally sold me two tickets for $130. There is no guide there either. No pick up from hotel. If there was a guide, I would have no problem with the trip, but the people that you book the excursion with, are not even there. I asked for a partial refund to cover the taxi costs and for there being no guide, which is why I paid for at first.
- Andrew S00Great trip despite our booking being messed up.We were obviously looking forward to this amazing boat trip and the trip itself was wonderful. However, booking it through Tripadvisor was a problem in several ways. Firstly, the information on the website about the trip, which was either confusing or misleading. The info said that transfer to and from Puerto Pañuelo was not included. But the itinerary details clearly said that you would be collected and returned to your hotel afterwards. So which was it? I am still none the wiser. In the end we made our own way to Puerto Pañuelo by taxi and arrived early at 12.00 for a 12.30 departure. But when we arrived, neither of the 2 boat companies had our names on their lists. Both companies phoned to check and still didn’t know. Eventually 1 of the men told me that the operator had forgotten to process our booking. He kindly gave us tickets for a trip leaving an hour later. The trip was great. But we would have been better to go to the port ourselves and buy tickets directly from the boat companies. We received no apology from Tripadvisor for the error and a deal of stress. Maybe someone will contact us now.
- 791carlosh00Too much expensiveVery expensive for the experience. One day for the trip and the places is too much. It is no convient
- MDBowski00Cozy town for a day trip.San Martin is a cozy little town. They have tours that go there daily. I would recommend renting your own car, as it comes out way cheaper and you get to run on your own schedule and stop off at the lakes you want to. We headed out early morning with no traffic and we were able to make it within 2.5 hours. The town is small enough that you only need 3-4 hours to see it all unless you want to dine at a restaurant. Most places open at 10 or 11, so be mindful if you want to get there early. There's really only 2 lakes that I think are worth stoping at, that have a big enough area to swim in or enjoy (although I forget the names) but the area is clearly visible. It was really a quick trip for us to visit. I would recommend this outing if you have nothing else to visit, like to see lots of lakes (that you might not be willing to jump in) and like cozy small towns. The drive there is scenic as well, but can get a little redundant and it is winding. Great drive if you enjoy...driving.
- Allyson C00Do NOT book with grey lineBooking with GreyLine was more confusing than just doing the trip alone. 1. Someone reached out to me on trip advisor 3 times prior to the excursion to ask what hotel I was in. I told them three times. I asked what time pickup was and they said they’d call my hotel 24 hours before. They never did. Each email said only hotels in city center had pickup and if not we’d be given a location in center to meet the transfer. We were never given a time or location despite multiple follow ups afternoon before and morning of (I only had data no calls and could not access a phone to call). They never responded to my final questions about who or what to look for after we got ourselves to the port. It was more stressful trying to figure out if we had a transfer in last 24 hours than figuring out the bus. - I will note on reviewing the description of the tour and confirmation info about half the time or references hotel pick up and drop off and half the time it says none includes. It’s Inconsistent. 2. I received my boat tickets in a random WhatsApp from a number and company that was not the tour operator. I tried to ask them about transfer thinking it was same company but they told me they were just middle people who only bought boat tickets. While WhatsApp is common here, it may not be for all travelers. No email copy of my tickets was sent, and presumably everyone booking on viator certainly has an email. 3. We got ourself to the port and there was NO guide or communication from greyline. The boat is operated by Turisur, who has a kiosk there. There is an mc of sorts on the boat and a handful of pre recorded informational announcements on the area and history and geography in Spanish and English. The info page says something about 15 people on tour but that’s a joke there’s no “tour” it’s a Turisur boat with 2 stops and a couple hundred passengers Overall, we paid about us 10$ more than we would have at the port directly from Turisur, much more if you pay cash w blue rate conversion. Presumably we paid for middlemen and absolutely NO help, directions or facilitation to make the journey easier. I guess we got the tickets in advance - only benefit. I would HIGHLY recommend doing the boat trip on your own: - look up Turisur online maybe you can buy them. They have an office in town or buy them day of at Puerto Pañuela. - take the 20 bus to the port. It’s 96 pesos and about an hour from city center. Runs frequently. - the Cau Cau boat looks a little nicer so consider that option to. - the boat right itself and the two stops at the Forrest and preserve we’re great!! Really beautiful.
- LaCherPR00Love this tour!Beautiful settings, amazing guide, Natasha, lots pf good pictures. This are is my favorite that I’ve visited ever. The combi (van) was super comfortable, the guide was funny and engaging. I learned a lot.
- MaartenK16500Gave us a Spanish only guide, while we specifically booked an English tour and paid extra for it...The bus tour was fine, but they put us in the regular Spanish language group with a guide that spoke no English, even though we specifically booked an English language tour (which cost extra!). They didn't even ask. Otherwise, great scenery obviously, but the stops on the way are rather short.
- pame196400BreathtakingI could never have imagined the beauty, One of a long list of must visits and truly worth every moment.
- l_vav201600OkayNice location and pretty sights. Be prepared to pick up tickets from the agency ahead of time, then you’re just one of many (100?) people on the excursion. If possible, buy the boat ride tickets from the ferry terminal and save $$$.
- GreasyFart200Great viewsThe guide was very accomodating. I would highly recommend, as I was the only English speaker on the trip. The views were incredible.
- 535elizabethl00Nice day trioOverall the trip was very nice, however, the 30min stops in Villa La Angostura was too short, couldn't really enjoy the town or take good pics. Also by the time we arrived at San Martin and had lunch the stores closed for the afternoon so there was very limited shopping. The lakes were amazing and the scenery spectacular.
- Miovino00Mount Tronador and the Black Glacier Day TourAmazing amazing amazing! Everything was great. Isabella, our guide, was fantastic. The scenery was unbelievable
- Dan M00No trip and no refundPretty gutted. My wife and I booked this trip believing it to be a one day tour as advertised. It's not a return trip. We didn't have a hotel booked in Chile and wouldn't have been able to pay again to come back. So had to decline to get on the bus. We contacted the Gray Line emergency number who just told us to take the matter up with tripadvisor (who don't offer any support). No refund and no offer of an alternative day tour.
- gregory59williams00Recommended with some reservations!Packed boat trip. Efficient operation! Nice stop on Victoria Island (2 hours). Lovely and peaceful place. Stunning views of the lake and the Andes. Rain forest walk was a little underwhelming - so many people!

We had a great day! Beautiful scenery- the weather was perfect! Our guide Carlos did a nice job of explaining things in both Spanish and English. Really nice way to get out and see the surroundings. Get the chocolate and cognac and the ski lift! Yum!

I received an email asking where I was staying. I replied with an accurate address. I wanted for over 45 mins (15 mins before tour time until 30 mins after) and no one arrived. I phoned the office and was promised action. I received nothing. To top it all it was raining! Rubbish and rubbish service.

They are not the tour operator. Put as through another company. Then I learned that Monte Campanario (highlight of the tour) was closed. I said i was going to check and they cancelled me and have not responded or given my money back. They left me stranded for the day. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, they are only an agency which I found out charges twice as buying the tour locally.

This is a very easy trip to make with stunning views from the cable car trip. We were not in Bariloche for long so this was a great way to get out into the surrounding area. Lovely staff spoke English - we would really recommend this trip and its good value for money.

One of the most “wow” places on earth and this tour allows you to see it fully. The guides are also very helpful.

Booked the English tour (for extra), was contacted that it the date selected would not be in English so could I do another day. This was actually surprising given some of the other reviews for this excursion.
Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. I couldn’t do any other day, told them and asked for a refund given they could not provide the service I paid for. Now it has been completely silent from them. Have contacted them 3 times now, with no response. Have even tried to escalate with Tripadvisor who are being no help.
If you want an English tour, DO NOT book this tour. They will take your money and run.

The tour was hopeless for me as it was all in Spanish. The small mini van was cramped to the hilt snd the group of nice ladies overtook the whole show.
A couple of stops but explanation was only in Spanish even though it was advertised by GET YOUR GUIDE ( don’t advise anyone to use this company as they just take a local company and put up the prices)

Dear client! We are sorry for your negative experience. We want to let you know that you can choose both options: tour in English or tour in Spanish. English tour is a little bit expensive.
