The Rafain Churrascaria Show has been traditional in Foz do Iguaçu since 1959. Despite the years it has a totally refurbished and modern environment, where the quality of food and service are our differentials. Our system is all Buffet, Self-service, with wide variety of salads, typical Brazilian dishes, samples of oriental cuisine, arabic, Italian pasta, fish, seafood and a richly prepared dessert buffet. There are more than 200 gourmet items. In 2016, 2017 and 2018 the Latin American Show entered Guinness World Records as "Most national dances represented in a dinner theater”. It is an incredible trip that the client makes for Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Colombia, Bolivia, Uruguay, Chile and Mexico in a single night. The stage is part of the surprise, because it tells a story. It has the shape of the face of an Aztec Indian. The side figures and flags represent indigenous figures. They remind us of the Incas from South America and finally there are Guarani ornaments. The Aztec-Inca-Guarani fusion gives the stage the feeling of a three culture temple. Waters are represented in the nose of the Indian where it comes a little waterfall. Throughout the show, the audience is surprised by a series of effects on stage. The show is attractive for tourists, inhabitants of Foz do Iguazú and other nearby cities in the three countries. The show begins with Paraguayan music, where the Indian harp is introduced, a typical instrument with 36 strings. Dancers accompany famous Paraguayan song such as “Pajaro Choguy” and “Danza de la botella”, which for the audience is an example of the typical challenge to the gravity laws, where the dancers dance with six bottles on their heads. From Paraguay the show moves slowly to the Andes region, on the Bolivian – Peruvian – Chilean plateau, where you listen to the most famous musical pieces from the region “El Cóndor Pasa”, “Carnavalito” among others. Everything accompanied by the most authentic musical instruments from South America: charango, bombo, zamponias, quena. The charm and elegance of tango. Long live México, land of hat and tequila, the gay music, represented by the Mariachis, Malambo from the Argentinean culture in the south of Latin America, which corresponds to Uruguay and Brazil, more specifically to the Rio Grande do Sul state, where the “gaucho” shows his skill in the show of the “boleadoras”. Brazilian music, represented in a merry and funny way by the Samba show, capoeira, juggling with tambourine, “mulatas”, “xaxado”, Carmen Miranda. “Baianas” and “mulatas” offer the chance to dance samba, with a Samba instructor on stage. The most thrilling part of the show is the last one, where the show closes with luxurious carnival costumes and a surprise, the waiters are also part of the show in a unique feast.

          Nature's grand masterpiece!
It's like the Earth's own symphony of water and greenery. The sheer power and thunderous roar of the falls leave you in awe. The walking trails, especially on the Argentina side, take you right up close to the cascading water, and the boat rides get you drenched in the mist. But what really got me was the surrounding rainforest, teeming with wildlife – it's like a scene from a National Geographic documentary. It's not just a tourist attraction; it's a humbling reminder of the beauty and power of Mother Nature. Visiting Iguazu Falls was a life-changing experience, and it's a must-see for anyone who wants to be left speechless by the wonders of our planet.

Incredible Day! Great Guide, Great Helicopter Ride & Great Country!!
My mum and I opted for the helicopter tour with pick up from our hotel in Iguazú (Argentina side). Our guide, Arlete, was on time and so welcoming! Her car was clean and tidy and she was clearly very experienced crossing the border. We felt like we were in safe hands! When we got to Helisul, we couldn't fly immediately because the weather wasn't great. Arlete contacted her agency and so we rearranged our plans for an extra (reasonable!!) fee. Instead, she accompanied us into the Brazilian falls and was a great photo taker and guide. As we went in with a guide, it meant we could skip the bus queues! She gave us so much knowledge about the geographical formation of the area and was just absolutely brilliant and kind! She never rushed us and accepted we would be taking hundreds of pictures. 😂 Then, we made it back to the helicopter pad and they were flying. We had NO QUEUE at all!!!! We were rushed into the next available helicopter! It was incredible so I highly suggest you do it! It's pricey, yes it's only 10 minutes, but everyone has a good view as everyone is by a window. I was extremely lucky to be sat next to the pilot at the front, but my mum was at the back and by a window. The pilot makes multiple circles around the falls to ensure everyone gets a view. They also arrange a video + photos of you getting on the helicopter so you can buy them at the end as souvenirs. Pricey but if this is your once in a lifetime chance to be in a helicopter, I suggest it. Arlete then took us to the bird park which is right outside!! I was skeptical.. I don't like zoos but their message is very unique. It's a sanctuary that focuses on repopulating endangered species. I think it's quite good as bird parks go and I felt the animals were well cared for. The menu in the restaurant and some of the messages around the park on billboards advocate reducing meat intakes to help combat deforestation and the destruction of the birds' natural habitats. All in all, a very very memorable day!
