- Camper4008468633000Worth what you spendI was lucky to be able to book this tour last minute when no other companies offered an exclusive UCO Valley package during the weekend. It turned out that the company offered a really high standard and remarkable tour for my Mendoza trip. We had a small group of 4, with a professional tout guide. Every wineries we had visited provided quality wine and snacks. The lunch was impressive, surrounding by impressive nature with high quality food. I highly recommended.
- gc_he_palmieri00Wine HeavenWe came to Mendoza because we love wine, and this tour exceeded expectations! It was great to learn about the processes of wine making at both smaller and larger wineries. The meal we had was truly delicious. Our guides, both at the wineries and on the tour with us, were all incredibly knowledgeable. We couldn't recommend highly enough.
- WineGoodLife00100% recommendedEverything was amazing, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and they picked us up in time. The wineries we visited were amazing and their wines were outstanding. The lunch was also perfect overlooking the Andes. I've recommended them to lots of friends and would 100% recommend to anyone else who's visiting Mendoza.
- floshende004 stops, lots of wine and lunch! We had a great time on our wine tour. Thankful for the service Ricky with Trout and Wine provided. We thoroughly enjoyed the first 2 bodegas. They were smaller and the representatives were informative and generous with their time. Lunch was at a different location; it was delicious and was paired with more wines. Our last stop paled in comparison, but did not take away from the experience. We would recommend T&W to travelers!
- Y7900DYadrianas00ExcellenceAmazing food , wine and tour! The tour guides went above and beyond ! The wine selections were amazing and the food was delicious.
- Stew9900Great Wine Tasting, Excellent LunchTrout and Wine communicated with me via WhatsApp to coordinate pick-up arrangements and any food restriction for the tour provided lunch. Pick-up at my hotel was exactly as planned. Paola was an outstanding tour guide, providing historical context for the journey and the Luján de Cuyo region. Despite the fact that the tour was in Spanish, Paola was able to answer any of my questions in English (I was informed in advance that the tour would be in Spanish). On the tour we tasted 4 wines each at two different Luján de Cuyo wineries, Norton, founded in 1895 (a classic that has been regularly upgraded) and Budeguer, founded in 2005 (a modern and high-tech winery known for its sulfite-free natural wines). Both wineries were excellent. I preferred Norton but Budeguer was also very good. I liked the contrast between the two. The gourmet lunch exceeded my expectations. It truly was a gourmet experience at Susan Balbo Winery. I highly recommend tours from Trout and Wine. It's worth noting that they have a physical location in Mendoza right off Plaza Independencia at Gral. Espejo 266.
- jodang00What an amazing wine tour experience in MendozaThis is such an amazing experience! The driver and the tour guide are both knowledgeable of the wine industries in Mendoza and we had the best experience all day. It is our first time visiting Mendoza so this tour is perfect for us. We got pick-up in our hotel and we visited 4 total wineries all day. We had a curated 4 course tasting lunch menu + wine pairing as well in one of the winery we visited in their restaurant with an amazing view of the vineyard. I highly recommend this wine tasting tour and will definitely do another wine tour with this company the next time we are in Mendoza.
- H9652SLkellym00An excellent introduction to MendozaFlor (guide) and Nico (driver) gave us the best experience! They picked us up right on time (at our Airbnb which was located a bit out of the way). Flor was friendly, funny, and full of knowledge about the region and winemaking. We toured and tasted at two vineyards before lunch and then enjoyed a multiple-course lunch at Zonda that was incredible! One more vineyard after lunch and then they dropped us off back at our Airbnb. Highly recommend this fantastic experience!
- Cameron G00Mendoza Wine Strike Mission! The team at Trout and Wine were very accomodating and flexible given my tight travel schedule. We visited a mix of small, medium and large wineries so you could get a sense of what makes each business tick, and of course sample their wines. They clearly had a good relationship with all the wineries we visited. We finished up for lunch at a lovely winery and was then dropped off at the airport in time for my flight (as I had requested).
- 705jn00Amazing experienceWe had such an amazing time. Pablo was so kind and helpful. We truly enjoyed ourselves and could not have asked for a better experience. I’m so glad we decided to book with your company. Everything was absolutely perfect and I’d highly recommend to any visiting Mendoza.
- JoulesNYC00Trout & Wine Tours - Mendoza wine toursWe took 2 small group wine tours with Trout & Wine Tours and they were both outstanding. Our first tour was to Uco Valley where we visited 3 wineries and had lunch at Andeluna winery. Our tour guide, Ricky was amazing. He gave us plenty of background information regarding the area, the wineries, and was even knowledgeable about the specific wines that we had. The wineries did a great job of the tours and we had a wide variety of wines to be able to taste and compare. Lunch at Andeluna was wonderful. The second tour we took was to the wineries of Lujan de Cuyo. Our guide was Flor, and she was amazing. She had also done some wine studies on her own so it was delightful speaking with her during the tour. We visited 4 wineries, so it was a packed day but not too much. If I go back to Mendoza, I will definitely only use Trout and Wine Tours.
- Lisa C00Horseback Ride with Beautiful Views and a Delicious LunchConsuelo did a fabulous job as my groups tour guide. She provided a lot of information about the region and what to expect on the tour. She also joined us on the horseback ride. The horseback tour was great. I enjoyed riding the horse in such a beautiful setting, and the owner of the horses was wonderful. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at Club Tapiz, which is a wine I enjoy in the States. The driver did a nice job as well getting us around the area. The Trout and Wine office did a fantastic job with communicating what time I would be picked up, and the guide and driver were prompt. Thank you for a great day!
- Lisa C00Great Wine Tastings and Lunches in a Beautiful Setting.I went on two wine tours with Trout and Wine- Valle de Uco and Lujan de Cuyo. Tessa and Flor were excellent guides on both tours, the tastings at each winery were great, and both lunches were delicious (particularly the one on the Lujan de Cuyo). Both drivers were also great. The Trout and Wine office did a fantastic job with communicating with me as to what time I would be picked up, and the guides and drivers were always prompt. Thank you for a great experience!
- MatsuoPhoto00Great intro to Mendoza wine country with knowledgeable guide: Norton, Bodeguer, Susana Balboa, lunch @ Osadia, TerrazasOur guide Victor coordinated the visit to 4 wineries, including lunch, with the local winery teams. We began with Norton, which is responsible for bringing Malbec to Argentina, then Bodeguer, a boutique winery, then lunch at Susana Balboa’s Osadia, then high altitude wines at Terrazas. It was a great introduction to Mendoza’s diverse wine community. I’ll be back!
- izharbuen00Ask for Flor! One of the best wine tours I’ve ever been on. What made it special was our tour guide, Flor. She made sure we were set up for a great day and took care of us throughout the entire day. Flor was always engaged and is very knowledgeable about wine. I would do this tour again if Flor is the guide.

The driver and tour guide arrived on time and the trip went according to plan except for the residual problems from a traffic accident that they had nothing to do with. Aconcagua view and the Inca Bridge we're fantastic. The lunch was as described and we were happy. The discount for US was much appreciated by those of us who had it to use.

Thank you. I much appreciate your kind comments. Regarding dollars, the best tip I can give anybody planning a trip to Argentina, is bring dollars cash and everything will be so much cheaper as you can take advantage of the street rate.

A spectacular day in the Andes. I booked very last minute, as I was visiting friends in Mendoza who were no longer available during the day. Trout & Wine accommodated me. Everything was seamless, and I joined a group with two Brazilian couples. Ricardo, our guide, managed to lead in both English and Portuguese and made everyone comfortable. Ricardo and Oswaldo were professional, knowledgeable (I learned a ton), and friendly.
I would echo some other negative comments about the food quality: "breakfast" was instant coffee and some lackluster sweet croissants at a tourist stop. And lunch was at a "traditional" Argentinian grill, which was by far my worst meal in Argentina. A mountain of poor quality meats, bad red wine, etc.
So why 5 stars? I didn't go on the tour for the food. I'm sure there are few options, especially in winter. There were lots of other tour excursions with throngs of tourists on a bus. Ours was a small group, with a comfortable coach, and an incredibly helpful and knowledgeable guide who was able to answer and engage a variety of issues from geological to cultural to geopolitical with expertise, diplomacy and insight. This could not have happened on one of the other experiences, which probably offered the same food. Ultimately, I think while it is pricier than a large group experience, you're paying for an intimate tour that doesn't make you feel like you're being herded around like cattle. So despite the truly unpleasant food, I would still recommend this experience as a must-visit and a good value.

Hi Greg, I appreciate your graciousness in giving us a good review, despite your disappointment with the food. We are actively looking for better lunch options but as you mention, there aren't many options as the area is so remote. We have even tried doing our own gourmet picnics but that's a logistical problem at 9000 feet and the vagaries of the elements. We will keep trying however as the food part is very important to us and indeed the gourmet lunch on our wine tour is the highlight of that excursion. Thank you again and happy traveling.

We booked a small group tour with Trout and Wine for our family of 4 (my husband, myself, our son and daughter-in-law), but were pleasantly surprised to find that we had a ‘private’ tour since no one else had booked for that day. Our driver, Nico, and our guide, Flor, were right on time and we had a spacious van all to ourselves.
The day was fantastic, with beautiful weather and various stops spaced throughout—seeing Potrerillos reservoir, coffee and breakfast, Puente del Inca— and a short but very scenic walk at Aconcagua Natl Park. Flor was extremely knowledgeable about the area, history, and geography, as well as being friendly and engaging. We felt safe and comfortable with Nico’s driving.
Our last stop for the asado at a very popular local restaurant was really terrific. To be adventurous, we ordered the parilla (which was the star of the menu), chicken, potatoes, and salad. Flor had brought several bottles of wine for us. The ride back to Mendoza was pretty quiet as we were all so tired and full from lunch! In fact, we even skipped dinner that night :)
We all agreed that it had been a fantastic day. Thank you Flor and Nico.

Thank you so much for the great review. We make a special effort to do the best possible Andes tour possible as it is a long day otherwise. Small groups mean less delays and a sumptuous lunch with great wines also helps!

Our guide Yael was excellent, knowledgeable, friendly with good English. It is a full day tour from Mendoza up to pass that goes to Chile. Lots of information on the region and history. The highlight was the walk to the Mt. Aconcagua viewpoint to view the impressive peak. Lunch was great with a delicious bottle of wine from the Mendoza region. I would recommend this small group tour to anyone who enjoys the mountain scenery.

We had a wonderful time on this tour. Our guide, Andrea was very knowledgeable about each area along the way. It’s really a very complete excursion. You get to see so many areas along the way to Aconcagua and Andrea knows so much about her province that you are never wondering what you’re looking. We really enjoyed this trip and would recommend it to anyone who wants to see the Potrerillos, Uspallata, and Aconcagua areas without the long drive and knowing where and how to go about it. Plus lunch is included with some wine. What more could you ask for?

Thank you so much. There are many Andes tours in Mendoza but they are of poor quality - big groups, long day, no lunch included. Many don't even enter Aconcagua park which is a shame as it is the highlight of the day.
Thank you for choosing to tour with us! See you next time.

Andrea was a great guide and led us on a very exciting tour up into the Andes. Her narration along the way about the sites we passed and the history of the area made the 3 hour ride fly by. The highlight was the hour long walk up toward Mt Aconcagua to a small pond where we had a great view of the mountain. The barbecue on the way back was very enjoyable as well.
The reason for the 3 rating was an unpleasant interchange I had with Charlie about where we would be picked up. I won't go into the details but suffice it to say he was unprofessional and rude.

We have an increasing problem that people are choosing to stay in accommodations outside the city center. Whilst we try our very best to pick people up at their lodging doorstep, we have to consider the other passengers and the lengthy detours involved. We may in some cases ask people to walk 5 minutes to a pick-up point and we ask for some goodwill and cooperation in this instance. On the return trip we always drop people at the doorstep.

I thoroughly recommend both this tour and tour company. Both were excellent as was the BBQ lunch with Argentinian wines. We visited some wonderful places and it was great to see both the Inca Bridge and of course Aconcagua, and hike a little there
The tour guide was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. I liked that the tour was limited to 8 people and allowed you to sign up even if you were on your own, unlike other companies who needed a minimum of 2. The tour company also went above and beyond with their assistance and recommendations

This is one of only a very few tours that actually enter Aconcagua National Park. After parking at the trail head for climbers there is a short walk to a wonderful view of the mountain. The guide was excellent as was the whole itinerary including the lunch with wine. It is a full day from Mendoza but the stops at points of interest, the mountain scenery and the knowledgeable guide made it seem shorter. We took another tour with this same tour agency and it is excellent in all respects. If you are in Mendoza and want a break from the the endless food and wine options don’t hesitate to take this tour.

We had simply the best time. Our guide Fleur was funny engaging and gave equal time to the Spanish and English speaking tourists. We saw the beautiful views of the park the bridge and dam. The lunch was so tasty and so much. There was nothing to dislike. It was simply brilliant and shouldn't be missed.

Hi, thank you for the lovely review. Yes, Flor is a great guide and I'm glad she handled the bilingual group so well. We don't mix languages on our wine tours but sometimes we do so on the Andes tour as there is more time to give the information in two languages s it is a longer day. Happy travels!

My guide Flor created a wonderful experience for me. I was the only English speaker on the tour and she seamlessly preformed the tour bilingually. The tour took us to some amazing photo stops along the way to Aconcagua. Flor explained all the different regions of the Andes we passed through, she was exceptionally knowledgeable. Ending off with a fantastic traditional Argentinian BBQ lunch where we got to try many different styles of BBQ meat and sides. An excellent way to spend the day!

Hello, I´m very proud that you visit my country, I´m from Buenos Aires and I can tell you that the time I have traveled to Mendoza they picked us up in a very spacious van with air conditioning, our guide was a professor of the University of Mendoza, who in holidays organized these tours, needless to say, that his explanation about the area was exquisite, the views were worthy of a picture.
On the question of skipping food, I don´t recommend it. it´s many hours that this tour lasts and also up there where you can see the peak Aconcagua, it is very cold and it is advisable what includes the tour in food and drink, because in addition to tasting delicious wines of the area, a whisky with ice from the peak and a roast that removes hiccups, as well as have the option of vegetarian barbecue. Anyway, you can always suggest your diet when registering for the guided tour. I hope my comment has been helpful.
