Great walking tour of Boca, with splendid guide Nahuel!
Great Walking Tour round Boca - The splendid guide Nahuel gave a great insight into Buenos Aries, and in particular Boca - and pitched it just right i.e. enough info, but did not drown the audience in too much detail! His English was very clear and easy to understand, and some nice humour going on too. The Boca area, so colourful and vibrant , and felt very different to other parts of BA- Would definitely recommend !

      Amazing tour with Maru
I had an incredible experience on this tour! Maru is an amazing guide , knowledgeable, passionate and super friendly. She made the history of Buenos Aires come alive with her stories and insights. Her English is excellent, and she explained in a way that was easy to understand and really engaging. I especially loved how she connected historical events with the culture and daily life of the city. I highly recommend taking a tour with Maru, you won t regret it.

Brilliant La Boca tour with Victoria
A must-do while in Buenos Aires, the area is vibrant and full of colourful history - all of which was brilliantly brought to life by Victoria on our tour. Her knowledge was first class and her English on another level.

      Not a WALKING tour
Absolutely awful and disappointing tour! We had a female guide and she spend the first 45mins of the tour talking and taking 3 steps in total! We were expecting a walking tour and this was a history monologue! As someone who enjoys walking tours when traveling in areas that are sometimes considered unsafe for females this was our expectations-to see a neighborhood that may have otherwise felt u safe to walk on our own. A few people left the tour at the 45mins mark and we did the same we have had enough! Its frustrating that this was pre paid and so we lost our money. We loved a previous BA tour in Recoleta and Retiro with Jenny (his code name ;) ) would give him 5*.

      Santiago was Amazing
The La Boca walking tour with Santiago was wonderful. He had all the enthusiasm and love for this neighborhood coming out while giving so many details and history to us. He is a great tour guide because he shows you something you can see in the neighborhood and then explains why this thing is so meaningful and lots of historic details. He really showed me the heart and soul of La Boca. Loved it.

Excellent walking tour - a great way to get to know Buenos Aires & Argentine history!
We did the Central Buenos Aires tour with Martin who was a wonderful guide. He was enthusiastic, gave us lots of useful tips on places to go and was full of interesting information about the city. This is the first walking tour we'd ever done, so we didn't really know what to expect. We had such a great experience that we'll be doing many more walking tours. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in history or even just looking for tips on what to do in Buenos Aires. Thank you Martin!

Perfect tour of a lively and beautiful neighborhood.
La Boca was easily one of our favorite spots in Buenos Aires. Our guide, Santiago, is extremely knowledgeable of the area. Aside from sharing the history and culture of La Boca, he offered local recommendations and useful info about the city as a whole. The timing was perfect and the pace was easy — with enough time to take pictures along the way. The tour is also very reasonably priced. We’ll definitely recommend this tour to anyone we know who visits Buenos Aires.

Maru was a great guide. I learned so much, thanks for that! Despite the fact that we were a big group (almost 40 people), Maru did an awesome at managing everything in such a professional and fun way.

A few tips because things can get confusing:
    1) I recommend booking tickets (if you are a foreigner, you must pay for tickets) online before arriving, so you don't have to wait in the long ticket line at the main gate. You can book on the entradasBA website. You'll have to make an account. Your ticket is valid for that month. But if you download your ticket to your iPhone Apple Wallet, it will not work -- it will say the ticket is expired. So instead, show the ticket checker the original tickets on the PDF that is sent to your email.
    2) If you can't book your ticket ahead of time, you'll have to wait in line to pay for it at the door (you can use a card or pesos). The line moves quickly but still I'd recommend getting there at least 10 minutes before your tour starts.
    3) Free Walks tours accepts pesos or USD, so if you're running low on pesos you should be okay.
    4) Bring sunscreen and water. The guide makes sure to stop the group in the shade when she/he talks, but it still can get pretty hot.
    5) The group gets pretty big, but the tour guide will have a microphone which is very helpful.

    Enjoy!

Victoria did a fantastic job of meticulously and patiently going over the background of Cementerio de la Recoleta as well as the story behind some of the graves. Learnt a lot about Eva Peron. Some of the stories were haunting and spooky, very appropriate for a visit to a cemetery. Must visit for visitors to Buenos Aires. If you take Uber make sure you put down the exact address that ‘Free Walking Tours’ (FWT) provides you instead of just Cementerio. Otherwise you will end up walking for 10 minutes or running for 5 minutes as we did to get to the starting point on time. Also you have to stand in line to buy the tickets to get into the cemetery. The line was long when we were there. Sometimes FWT has bought some tickets ahead of time that you can buy from them for the same price. (This is very much appreciated FWT).

The tour of the cemetery was worth booking online ahead of time (save yourself 3 mil) for the fun and well paced experience! Our guide Victoria had great details and kept us very entertained with all of the crazy stories behind some of the graves. I recommend bringing water and sunscreen since the sun can be hot, but Victoria also made sure to pull us aside in shaded areas when she could. This was my second tour with the company and I think that they did a great job selecting their tour guides as they are friendly, passionate, and knowledgeable!

Went on two of the free walking tours, one of the city center and the other to Recoleta. Martin guided us through the city and the history of Buenos Aires and Argentina as we went from the National Congress to the plaza de Mayo. Victoria took us from the Teatro colon to the Recoleta cemetery, also giving us background on Buenos Aires, Argentinian history along the way. It was good to hear somethings twice. Both guides were excellent, making sure the group was well taken care of, especially crossing streets and boulevards, stopping in the shade as much as possible, giving additional “local” tidbits along the way.

We had a 15 minute break for the Recoleta tour to use a bathroom and get a snack, as the time of the tour is about 3.5 hrs and runs til 1:30. I would recommend taking both tours (different days), but if you only have one, I personally liked the one to Recoleta better, as I thought the area was prettier. I think it depends on what you are looking for. Both guides were happy to answer individual’s questions along the way also.

Couple of notes: they start the tours approx 10 minutes after the noted time, for latecomers to show up. Both of our groups were rather large, over 30 people at least. They give a nice introduction to the tour, the fact that it is tip paid only etc. and what to watch out for in Buenos Aires. I would recommend comfortable shoes, a hat and sun protection and bring water, it got pretty hot when we went. It is an easy pace also, not rushed. Both guides had a portable microphone system so all could hear them well.

All, in all this is really a great way to get an introduction to Buenos Aires and get ideas of places to explore on your own later.

Jenny (or official Nahuel) is so witty, informative and knows how to capture everybody’s attention with his “Jenny points”! The pace of the tour is spot on and covers a lot of interesting points in the lovely city of Buenos Aires. He was able to transfer his love of the city onto to me for sure!! He also follows the tour with his personal guide which is very helpful to find the top spots in the city! Highlight recommended and thank you for a great tour! 😍

It is a very interesting place to visit, with different architectural styles, over the span of multiple decades. The only downside of the tour was the multitude of people on different tours. While our tour guide was professional enough to do the explanations of the graves to be presented in a more open area, then bring us to the site, not all guides did the same. This created some traffic and waiting in some areas.

Did the Recoleta Cemetery tour on a sunny Friday afternoon with the English speaking guide Victoria. It was quite a large group with about 40+ people. Victoria did an excellent job stopping at selected tombs to tell the stories. A visit to the cemetery would not be the same without the storytelling from the guide. Besides the entrance fee of 16,100 pesos (about $15-16 dollars), cost for the tour guide was 13,000 pesos (about $12-13 dollars). Highly recommended if visiting the cemetery.

Victoria our guide was very informative, she weaved our way through the cemetery with delightful and entertaining stories of the history and people interned. Very hot day and Victoria kept track of the group and ensured when telling tales we would be in the shade. Would highly recommend. Note: you must purchase entrance to the cemetery separately so arrive a ten mins early to do so.

Very worth the money to use a guide! Besure to buy your ticket for entry to the cemetery before the tour as this is required in addition to paying for the tour to your guide at the end. Are guide spoke English well and wore a small amplifier around her neck, so she was easy to hear. The place is HUGE and you'll probably struggle to find Evita's crypt easily without a guide. And the stories and history she educated on about the cemetery and the history of some of the tombs was excellent. The tour was approx. 2.25 hours and there were hardly any crowds because it had been raining heavily prior. I understand the crowds can be big on nice days.
