    Annoying
Walked past a few of their bus stops on our first day and saw you could buy tickets on board the bus, which saved probably having to get something printed paying online. We got to Stop No. 5 jus after 10.00 the next morning, didn’t have to wait too long and got on the bus. Then the problems started… They don‘t take credit cards, only pesos! Virtually every small bakery or shop in the countryside, even some market stands, take credit cards, but not one of the big tourist attractions in the capital city! So, as we didn‘t have 60,000 pesos in cash, we had to get off the bus and find a bank. We then returned and managed to get on the next bus, which wasn’t very full and had room upstairs, although it got completely full by Stop No. 10. At some stops later on, there was not enough room and some people couldn’t get on. As per other reviews, the recorded text is OK but between commentary, it switches to very loud (and bad) music, so the whole bus turns the volume down until the next text and then turns it up again. Just annoying, but not as annoying as the bus changing route and going straight from Stop No. 10 to No. 14, missing out the other ones in the center of town, that we (and a lot of other people) wanted to get out at. The best was yet to come as at the next stop, they parked behind another (empty) bus and we were all told to get off and get onto the next one. We were lucky enough to get off relatively quickly and get another seat upstairs. Others weren‘t. One note if you are upstairs near Stop No. 18: Keep a look out as you will get a few low-hanging small branches in your face! Another small annoyance is that their website‘s online info on when the next bus is going to arrive is very inaccurate. Four minutes became 15-20 on a couple of occasions. Conclusion: Not that great anyway and just felt a bit disappointed with everything. Would probably take 5-6 Ubers and get everywhere quicker and cheaper.

Very happy with the yellow bus
We got impatient waiting to buy tickets to the Greyline hop-on-hop-off bus took a punt on the yellow Buenos Aires hop-on-hop-off bus instead. They follow a similar route and share many stops. Each time we stopped, a yellow bus arrived for us before a red one, and at some stops there were people with tickets for the red one and they’d been waiting quite some time and the red busses were too full for them to get on. We had no such trouble. The audio commentary (we listened in English) was good and timed perfectly as we passed points of interest.

    Awful, waste of money
Please do not pay for this bus service I was charged 57€ for my husband and I, we got off at Recoleta, and could not get back on any other bus the entire day. Felt totally ripped off, staff on the buses were extremely unhelpful, waiting for over an hour in several places and could not get on buses, avenida de mayo, awful, had to take a taxi in the end, at least a boca - caminito, it was horrendous with queues down the street, again waited hours only having to pay for a taxi in the end. Dont waste your money

    Go smart
The buses were always full sometimes we were waiting more than an hour I would NOT recommend this bus is a little cheaper but the red buses were better one time I couldn’t wait any more I took a taxi just suggestion to who ever read this if you change your dollar at exchanges places the taxis will coast very cheap it’s better and it’s won’t cost that much do not use your credit card it’s will cost you double

    Great educational ride
This is a fantastic way to get around, see the city, and learn a lot. Get off at the Boca stadium stop for some shopping and some good food. Whenever I take a group to BA, we always take one day to relax and do this tour.

    Scam - Don't do it
Terrible experience. My family bought tickets, four of us. We waited an hour for a bus. The bus was full. We waited again. The guide was not helpful, no info on next bus arrival time. They are taking money and not putting enough buses on the route. I complained in writing through their online for, telling them I wanted my money refunded of two free tickets tomorrow since I didn't get to half the places. Never heard from them.

    Awful
Don’t get on this bus, if you do get an uncovered one otherwise you can’t see very much. Also they don’t let you ride the whole loop. You have to get off in La Boca and queue up again!

One of the worst I have ever done.
We waited almost two hours for the bus. The web site says you can pay by credit card and the machine was broken. The audio in most of the seats on the bus did not work... I was on the bus tour and seriously have no idea what I saw... Oh yes lets not forget the bus that came by and they would not lets us get on cause they claimed it was full but we counted over a dozen empty seats on top deck. I have done these buses in over 40 cities and this was the worst. Should have gotten my money back

Good way to see the entire city
Good way to see the entire city - it’s a hop on and off system. Felt the commentary could be far more informative regarding history and culture of the city along with the sights. Lots of filler music was played. We did get off in La Boca- nice half way mark with a visit to the MBQM Museum- well worth the visit

    Bad experience
I had Bad experience with this bus. I was on time for the last bus of the day at stop 1 after rushing through a late lunch but it didn’t arrive. I saw one of these buses racing by without stopping. I ended up taking 2 taxis to try and catch it. One to stop 5 where it didn’t show and the next to stop 8 where I managed to catch it only to find out that the audio wasn’t working. So bad!!

    Try this
As in many world cities, this service is practical to see and understand them and get acquainted fast and cheap. Three lines has to be ride with connections on each of them to see the whole urban area. They make many interesting stops near places to be seen.

    Very Rude Manager
We walked quite a way from our hotel to the start point of the bus tour. We didn’t get an advance ticket as I had read here they sometimes are a problem. Well when we arrived we were told the tickets we’re all sold out and the manager couldn’t be bothered to Talk to a queue of people all upset including us. However it got worse as 5 busses all half full at most stopped and left, he didn’t care - they were sold out tough! His staff were embarrassed and all trying to talk to him about easing his restrictions. Also people with tickets from the internet were also getting turned away. I really would look for a different tour!

    Wrong City for this Concept
There are just not enough sites of general tourist interest to justify the hop-on hop-off concept in Buenos Aires. For about US$ 30 per head, you can go all around the city for a day. But don’t be fooled by the three separate routes covered by Buenos Aires Bus. Unless you are going to live here, at most you will be interested in two or three destinations out of the 30+ stops, and so you would be far better off taking taxis at about US$ 4 a trip, especially if there are two to four in your party. There are no compensating factors in the bus, which is inadequately air-conditioned, offers only the barest of audio commentary, has uncomfortable seats, and is often full of screaming, whining children. And most of the time you are in heavy traffic staring at bland city-scapes.

I don’t think this business wants your money. We stood waiting for a bus and tried to buy tickets (with a credit card) when it came around. They told us to wait for the next bus. The next bus did the same thing saying they didn’t have a reader and the 3rd bus told us (after waiting for 45 minutes total) that we should wait for the next bus! She had a reader and said that the people behind us had priority to get on the bus which was quite full. You can buy the tickets on line but must input passport information etc. Since we were standing at the stop and don’t walk around with our passports, we were unable to purchase the tickets. The sign at the stop states that you can buy the tickets on board. The price of $29 per person for 24 hours was a little steep compared to how everything else in the city is priced. 2 years ago we had no problems and the Hop On, Hop Off was a great way to get around the city. Because you are limited to 2000 pesos a day from the ATM (app. $33 US) paying cash takes several days of accumulation to pay for the tickets. Buy a SUBE card instead- the cost of a ride is 19 pesos (the equivalent of .32 cents as of this writing) and it will get you almost anywhere you need to be.

We wanted an overview of the city. Following our hotels direction we arrived at the bus stop 2. We had been told that we could buy the tickets on the bus and that they would run every 20 minutes, according to the board and on line. The first one to arrive took the first 4 passengers who paid as they got on board. And though there were seats visibly available we were told they were full. Just before they left, 2 passengers got off and we still weren't accepted. The next bus we were told was "complimentary" for ticket holders only. The next bus was full we were told after waiting 1 hour and half, we gave up. I have contacted the company for them to explain so far I have had irrelevant replies. The buses did not come every 20 minutes as advertised, were full and the staff not particularly helpful. They were at the coal face with no clear support. We have used the hop on and hop off buses in cities all over the world, have always have had good experiences. But not here. Their loss. There were 8 of us at the stop who would have paid their fares. I am glad I didn't pay on line. How long would it be to get a refund if ever? Talking to other guests in our hotel they had had a good english speaking guide for a private tour, cheaper than the bus.

We arrived for a stay in Buenos Aires and purchased a two day ticket. The first day we accessed the service using an electronic ticket. It was accepted on each bus we took. On day 2 we got on the bus at 9:10 am from stop number 14 and when we tried to use the electroic ticket which was refused and then showed the UPS code on the email we were like wise refused. We did not see that you had to have a paper ticket from the main office . Interestingly enough after we got our paper ticket we saw numerous people get on the buses with an electronic ticket.

In any event with only an electronic ticket we were unceremoniously put off the bus in between stops in an area unfamiliar to us as visitors to the city, We asked the attendant to let us off at stop 15 however he refused and we were put off in an area which we were very uncomfortable .

In many of the buses the headphone jacks or audio systems are not working so we missed many parts of the tour.

Taxis are very reasonable and I would suggest finding a taxi driver that can speak your language and pay him to take you around or just use a taxi.

This is no way to treat a visitor to your city !

After reading so many negative reviews I feel obligated to leave my honest review. Yesterday I rode the bus around the city for the 8th time since I moved to Buenos Aires in 2021. I have to say I have never had one negative experience. I drive to Recoleta with the family and friends or family visiting, we park in the parking lot under the cemetery and walk to the ticket booth. My Spanish is getting better but I have never had a problem buying tickets here. Pay in pesos to save money and if you have a DNI (local identification) you will pay half as much. Yesterday full price adult ticket was 10,000 pesos but since I have a DNI I paid 5,000 pesos. Of course I paid in pesos which I purchased at the blue rate so I saved half again. It cost me about $13. If I used a credit card it would have cost me about $30. A visitor using a credit card will have to pay the full 10,000 pesos which would be about $58. If that visitor exchanged U.S.dollars at a cambio and received the blue rate then they could take those 10,000 pesos and pay at the ticket booth and it would cost them about $27. Once you pay you will get a map, a bag with headphones and maybe a little red flyer with a discount code to a restaurant at stop 11 which is a mall with shops and restaurants. From here (Recoleta) stop 0 you get on the bus and the driver will scan your receipt and issue you a new receipt. Make sure every passenger in your party has their own ticket/receipt before you walk up to take your seats. The kiosk may give you one big receipt for your group and as you enter the bus the driver will scan that group receipt and issue individual receipts. Be prepared to wait a few minutes here before starting the tour and also at stop 11. I’m not sure why they take a 15 minute or so break here but they do. I’ve never had an issue with my headphones not working or the port you plug into not working. You are moving from fast to slow around the city depending on many factors so sometimes the audio has trouble keeping up if we pass multiple places too fast but if traffic is slow you will hear music in between for long periods of time between stops. The top deck has uncovered seating and covered air conditioned section. The outside seating had a tarp like cover over the top a few times and we were great fuel for it because of the summer sun. I’m really not sure why there have been so many complaints to be honest. I’ve never had a bad trip. I’m going to try the grey line next to see if the experience is the same.

We have traveled all over the world and have used other hop on hop off buses and this particular company is not good.
To start with the ticket office closed with no notice to where they move to or anything. We walked around asking for their office and could not find it. we were told is a big yellow sign ( the lady at hotel said ÿou cant miss it"). We had to buy the tickets through a third party travel place after asking the business around who told us they closed without notice.
The stops are not well labeled (hard to see), the map with the stops are not accurate and you spend. a lot of time looking for them and asking around. This is very time-consuming because the distances of the stops are very far from each other.
On one of the buses we went on the audio was not working and you could not hear the announcements. We had to change buses which caused more delays. The buses run from 0900-1700. The duration of the ticket is for 24 hrs from the time when you go on the first time. NOT PRACTICAL!!! also you have to take into consideration the traffic in BA. When we complained to the staff on the bus he told us to go to another office to place an official complaint. (the bus did not stop there). I am fluent in Spanish and I could not imagine what it was like for others that did not speak the language. We ended up using Uber for the rest of our trip which is super cheap ( did not know that Uber was allowed in BA initially)

Disappointing..... coach itself was ok - the audio was poor- just “on the right is x on the left is y”. There was no context, history or interesting anecdotes. That said just sitting in the bus looking at the architecture and scenery was interesting in itself. We waited 50 mins for the bus and during the journey many people were not allowed onto the bus due to it being full.

In the website, it says that the frequency is 20 min, we waited like 40 min in the first stop. The audio guide is recorded, but the driver drove too fast so it was impossible to finish listening the audio for one place that the audio for the next place started.
Then, We hopped off in Palermo. In the paper guide, it says that the last bus for that stop is at 20:10 . We were in that stop since 19:50 and the bus never appeared. We waited for more than one hour and we had to take a taxi cause the bus didn't come. We paid 1.500 ARS pesos each, that it is not cheap for us in Argentina, and it was the worst service ever.

We often use these hop on hop off buses when visiting cities for the first time so that we can orientate ourselves. This was probably the worst one we have tried. Apart from spending a lot of the time stuck in traffic we did not really learn much about the city or its attractions.

This could be a great way to see the highlights of Buenos Aires and enjoy the beauty of this magnificent city. Do not do this bus on a hot day as the buses can’t cope with the heat. On the day we went we have to get off two different buses because they had broken down and the communication about this was terrible. We were left sitting in the scorching sun for over 20 minutes before we were told that the bus would not be leaving and we needed to get on the next bus. During this time another bus had been and gone that we could have boarded which then also broke down and those people
Had to board our bus a few stops later. A round trip that should have taken about 2 hours took well over 3 hours in the scorching sun. The audio was also unreliable at some seats and you need to watch for the branches in some places or maybe oh could lose an eye!

I love hop on /hop off buses when I get to a huge city to get the lay of the land so I ignored the warnings about this one. I should have listened. It was terrible! The audio didn’t work on the first bus and was out of sinc on the third bus. The information was very scant—mostly just bad music played. We finally just got off and took a cab back.
