About
Learning Spanish is a challenge that requires time and patience. Many people don’t have a schedule that allows for the daily instruction necessary to develop fluency.
We know just how important it is to have a structured learning environment in which to practice your Spanish skills. However, sometimes the tricky part is finding time in what is already a very structured–and busy!–personal schedule. This is why we offer our private one-on-one classes for those who just don’t have the time to sit in a classroom five days a week.
You get to decide how long each of your class sessions will be and how many times a week you’ll meet with your teacher. Most of our students find that 1.5 to 2 hours is the best option for them. Openings are first come, first serve. The availability of spots is dependent upon a number of factors, such as the school’s current schedule and seasonal demand.

- seannoelh0 contributionsExcellent experience in Daira’s classes, would 100% recommend.Extremely happy with the classes, Daira explains lessons very clearly and with lots of patience. Very pleasant learning environment and Daira also gave lots of helpful practical information and advice for my stay in Buenos Aires.Written April 5, 2024
- lockieh20240 contributionsDaira is amazingMy teacher Daira was absolutely amazing. She helped me so much to improve my Spanish and was extremely patient and engaging. Daira also talked to us a lot about the history, culture and politics of Argentina which was a huge insight into the country. I cannot commend her enough and really appreciate all she did.Written April 5, 2024
- irenerP205NZ0 contributionsMy honest feedbackI've been studying Spanish at VAMOS for about 6 weeks now, and seeing some harsh reviews online, I felt like I had to jump in and share my two cents. Honestly, some people just seem to expect the world on a silver platter and forget that no place is perfect. My time at VAMOS? Pretty awesome, actually. First off, the teachers are legit. They care big time and really push to see everyone get better at Spanish. That alone made the whole experience worth it for me. I remember starting out in a class that felt way over my head. I talked to Marisa, the academic director, about it, thinking maybe they got my level wrong. But she walked me through their reasoning, and turns out, they knew exactly what they were doing. I stuck with it and saw huge improvements. I've noticed some students acting like they run the place, demanding all sorts of changes. But that's just not how the real world works. Post-COVID, it seems like this sense of entitlement has only gotten worse with the younger crowd. So, what's the deal with VAMOS? The academic side is top-notch. They check in on you, make sure you're learning and moving forward. My teachers were experienced, patient, and really engaging. Plus, the school's all about getting students together. My favorite was this mix-and-mingle event with Argentine students learning English. It was a blast and super helpful. The one thing that could use some work is the building itself. Had a few hiccups with the WiFi and a bathroom issue one day. But considering how much more affordable VAMOS is compared to other schools, it's a small trade-off. To wrap this up, I saw a couple of those negative reviews firsthand and, to be blunt, those students were just plain rude. If they pulled half of that stuff back where I'm from, they'd be out on their ears in no time. So yeah, that's my take on VAMOS. It's got its quirks, but overall, it's a great place to learn Spanish. The team's fantastic, and the vibes are good. If you're considering it, I'd say go for it.Written March 30, 2024
- H6746WClindam0 contributionsPerfect location in Buenos aires and great teachersI chose Vamos Academy primarily because of their great location, but also because, after checking other Spanish schools in Buenos Aires, I noticed that the rest have nothing but perfect reviews. To me, it's impossible for any service to be flawless, and when I see a business profile with no negative comments, I automatically assume it's fake. Upon reviewing Vamos Academy, I noticed they have a huge majority of very positive comments but also some small negative ones. Personally, this feels more natural and gave me more trust in them over other language schools in Buenos Aires. So, after 3 months of intense Spanish, my ability to express myself in Spanish is now significantly higher. The teachers are absolutely incredible, and the school is great. Sure, they have things to improve, like the coffee and the rooftop patio that needs some love but otherwise, they are grea and I highly recommend learning Spanish at Vamos Academy Buenos Aires.Written March 24, 2024
- 266devanp0 contributionsMuy buenoOkay, so here's the deal with Vamos Academy, right? It's a college school, but it's not your typical, run-of-the-mill place where you just sit around, bored out of your mind, listening to someone drone on for what feels like forever. Nah, it's different, and in a good way... Honestlly, I wasn't sure what to expect at first. I've had my fair share of dull classes in the past, where you're just there, waiting for the clock to hit the hour so you can bail. But Vamos, it's got a vibe to it. It feels more like you're actually getting something out of it, not just killing time.T hey've got this approach to teaching that's pretty hands-on. You're not just memorizing words or grammar rules. They get you talking, using the language in real situations, which is decent because that's how you're gonna remember it. It's practical, you know? And the people there, they're solid. They make the whole thing feel less like a chore and more like something you'd want to do. Even for someone like me, who's not exactly been the studying type, it felt right. So, yeah, if you're thinking about giving it a go, I'd say it's worth a shot. It's not like school or anything. It's better, way more relaxed, and you actually feel like you're learning something useful.Written March 11, 2024
- vladd4330 contributionsgood location, professional teachers comfortable classroomsI think I'm not the only one that noticed many of the school have all 5 star reviews. Personally I always look for business that have some good one and not so good because that is more likely to be real. Personally this is why I decided for Vamos buenos aires. I wasn't sure what to expect but I really enjoyed my week of group classes. Paula was my teacher and without a doubt she was amazing. Vamos have incredible teachers and you can tell because they know how to teach. Sorry if I'm not more articulate with my words but I hope you will understand. I noticed some reviews talking about not having windows but I found that to be a bit silly since most of the school has then. They have their own building and it mostly very nice and comfortable. I took classes in the summer and although very very hot outside sometimes a bit too cold inside the classroom. Personally I like it like that. Yes their AC is powerful 🤯 We had 5 days of social activities. I got to explore the teatro colon, we went to eat ti guerrin, we went to recoleta cemetery, we had a free tango class and finally some students also went to recoleta cemetery. I don't know, I could talk about so many more things but I feel this is already a lot of text. Feel free to write me if you have any questions about the school. I really recommend vamos because... They have a very accesible tuition fee of 145 per week and they took my amex without any hidden fees. Everything was included within the week price of 145. Location wise is very good, close from the city downtown but also very close to Palermo and recoleta. Finally and perhaps not important form some but they were able to give me an official diploma and helped to get credits for my collage. So that was extra but worth it. Hope this feedback helps 🙂. Sorry for my English I'm not native English speaker.Written March 2, 2024
- B9162DGmarcd0 contributionsA wonderful week learning SpanishThis is the best language teaching we have encountered. Very good materials, but above all fantastic teachers, in a very friendly classroom setting. Our class size was perfect (five of us): small enough for everyone to feel fully included, and big enough to learn from one another as well as our outstanding teacher. Thank you, Mica, for a really fantastic week!Written February 27, 2024
- jasonnS2203BF0 contributionsBest spanish school in BAAfter 4 weeks of studying Spanish at Vamos, I can confidently say that I am now able to communicate with more confidence than before. I choose vamos because a unlike other schools they have a lot of great reviews and some that are soso. The other schools have nothing but 5 stars and we all know thats probably fake. Vamos is not perfecto :) but teachers are awesome and súper friendlyWritten February 19, 2024
- alexy5990 contributionsGreat experience! Totally recommend studying at this school.Great school! The curriculum is very well organized. I've been studying here for 2 months and have one more month to go. Completely satisfied with the professors (so far, David and Yamy) and the results. I can now speak relatively fluently in everyday settings.Written February 9, 2024
- 15skyk0 contributionsFun and Formative! The classes were great fun, and we learned a huge amount of Spanish in a v short timespan. - jenniferdY6829MD0 contributionsmy experience Taking university Spanish course in Buenos AiresLeaving the familiar behind in West Virginia for the vibrant streets of Buenos Aires, I embarked on a semester abroad that promised more than just academic growth. At the heart of this leap was Vamos Academy, a beacon that not only lit the path to my educational pursuits but also navigated the intricate maze of securing an Argentine study visa. The thought of dealing with embassy paperwork and visa requirements was daunting, to say the least. Yet, Vamos Academy stood out not just for their accredited Spanish courses but for their remarkable support system. They transformed what I anticipated to be a tangled bureaucratic process into a smooth journey, guiding me every step of the way. Their expertise and coordination with the embassy meant that I could focus on the excitement of the adventure ahead, rather than getting bogged down by paperwork and procedures. This support was more than administrative; it was the first chapter in a story of discovery and connection. With Vamos Academy, Buenos Aires wasn't just a place to study; it became a canvas on which I painted days of learning, exploration, and personal growth. From the cozy beginnings in a local family's home to the independence of downtown apartment living, every step was a dance to the rhythm of Argentine culture, made possible by the foundation Vamos laid out from the very start. If you're dreaming of diving into the depths of language and culture, with a partner that ensures a seamless transition into your adventure, Vamos Academy is your gateway. Here, the journey begins not with the hassle of visas and paperwork but with the promise of discovery and learning, in the heart of one of the world's most enchanting cities. - chriscK2814XM0 contributionsGreat intensive Spanish classes! This is my second time coming to Vamos to learn Spanish - and of course I would only come back if I thought it was a good experience :) This time I had Pablo and he is an amazing teacher - very clear, describes and explains things very well, one of my favourite Spanish teachers so far! Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to level up their Spanish - remember this is an intensive course so you’ll be learning Spanish for 4 hours each day :)Written January 26, 2024
- M2126FAandreab0 contributionsVery good school!!I recommend this school to anyone who wants to learn spanish! I stayed there for 3 weeks and i really bettered my spanish. Pablo es un muy buen profesor y le deseo lo mejor.Written January 26, 2024
- KismetCA0 contributionsdisappointmentThis did not work out for me, they failed to get me the information I needed to connect to the online class in time. They promised to get me the info and then didn't. I asked for the intensive class, which they ignored and directed me to another class. Its fine if they don't offer the intensive, but they should have answered. They are bad at communication, so this may be tricky if you want to take an online class with them. I don't think they are reliable.Written January 23, 2024

My family of 5 decided we needed to brush up on our Spanish before we started a 3 month tour of Latin America. We found Vamos Spanish Academy on Trip Advisor along with other schools in BA. I spoke with Derek, the program advisor at Vamos and he was very responsive and flexible with developing a 1-week program for our family. I requested a 3-hr class that our kids, 10, 7, and 6, would be able to take at the same time that my wife and I would be in a more advanced class. The curriculum worked great for us.
My wife and I took a placement test to see where we fit in the Spanish curriculum and Vamos was able to tailor a class that worked perfectly for us. Our instructor was patient and kept us engaged. We are very happy with our experience and feel that the classes set us up to better enjoy our travels.
¡Muchas gracias a la gente de Vamos Spanish Academy!

Vamos has some great things and some things to improve. I still give them 5 stars because of their amazing teachers and the fact that they go a long way to make sure people really learn. Overall my only observation is that they only have 3 social activities per week and I feel they can do more. On saturdays they have a conversation meeting where many Argentines and foreigners get together to practice. Itś free and very useful.

I spent 3.5 weeks learning Spanish at Vamos. I enjoyed the experience and learnt a ton in a short amount of time. One tip: it was helpful to book a few days of classes first, see if you like it and making adjustments, then make more bookings. I ended up changing my group classes to individual ones to better fit my learning goals. When I come back to Buenos Aires, I will take more classes with Vamos.

I found the school online and am grateful I did!!! The school provided me with an exceptional instructor named Paloma. Paloma is not only giving me guidance on Argentinian Spanish but also Spain Spanish, which is the focus I need. I’m in my third week of class and look for to continuing as long as I can.

I chose Vamos Academy mainly because of its location. I was staying in the San Telmo area, and the school was just a five-minute walk away. One thing I learned during my search is to be cautious—many other schools don’t list their prices online, and there’s a huge price difference between them. After doing some research, I found that other schools were charging up to $50 USD per hour, which I still can't understand. At Vamos, I paid just $15 per hour, received a diploma, had a fantastic teacher, and enjoyed all the extra activities the school offered.
Buenos Aires can be strange like that—you might find a bottle of wine for one price in a supermarket, and then find the exact same wine for significantly less just 10 blocks away. If you don’t mind overpaying, that’s fine, but if you’re like me, do your homework and compare prices.
My experience at Vamos was excellent. They allowed me to pay with my Amex without any extra service fees, provided all the course materials for free, and even sent a detailed certificate to my employer, who reimbursed me for the classes.
I did see some negative comments about the school, but at least in my experience, they’re unfounded. The school itself is great—comfortable classrooms, amazing teachers, and every time I needed something or requested a change, they were very accommodating. If you decide to sign up, definitely ask for Eugenia—she’s the best!

The lessons are well structured and work well if you're staying for a few weeks or more. I also liked the free Tango classes and "mate and conversation workshop. Many Argentines were there and I was able to practice my Spanish". I also chose Vamos because they had the best prices and their school has HEPA filters, something that for me was essential.

Vamos academy is a great way to learn Spanish. One on one with your own teache is my preference. Lucía is an amazing teacher and she demonstrates a lot of knowledge and patience.
She takes as much time as needed to make sure the material is understood.
I enjoy my classes and would definitely recommend Vamos Academy.

Originally I was looking at another school that a bit too far from my apartment in Palermo. Somehow their price are almost twice as expensive. At first I thought the other school has something special or something to justify the extra money but after having visiting them and Vamos I realized vamos offers much more in terms of social activities and has way more students compared. I decided to pay for 30 hours of one on one lessons. My first teacher was Georgina and unfortunately she got sick so I continued with Martina. Both teachers were great and very knowledgeable. I'm very very happy with my Spanish classes at Vamos Academy and would love to stay but now I have to go back home ;)
