Elisa is an absolute joy. She is smart, friendly, fun, and incredibly knowledgeable about Buenos Aires and Argentina. This was our second time doing a tour with Elisa and we will surely do it again. If you want to get out of the tourist traps and really see BA, you can’t do better. Enjoy!

    Unique and worthwhile tour
This tour was much more than we thought it would be. Very interesting tour of the clandestine center and its heartbreaking history , but more like an entire lesson on the political and economic history of Buenos Aires. Elisa was an excellent tour guide- receptive to our many questions, knowledgeable, good sense of humor. We highly recommend this tour for an unusual and worthwhile experience in Buenos Aires.

    Best BA Tours
The "Off the Beaten Path" tours are by far the best ways to learn about and explore Buenos Aires. We signed up for 2 of Elisa's tours, and when we return we will sign up for any tour that she offers. In addition to her expert knowledge of the local culture and history, Elisa's personable demeanor made the experience very memorable.

    Favorite Tour in BA
Elisa is an incredible guide and historian. We learned so much from her extensive knowledge and research. If you're curious about history from a factual as well as personal first-hand account, prioritize this tour in particular. Thank you, Elisa!

Elisa is very knowledgeable about her country and its history. Besides educating us about the era, she provided personal stories as well. It is remarkable that this happened in the seventies, not long ago Really makes you think. Take her tours!!

    Discovering Fun
Elisa is very knowledgeable about her country. We took 4 of her tours and each one is different and educational, interesting, and FUN! Her English is muy bien! We enjoyed seeing places we would not have noticed ourselves walking or could even have found on our own. From churches, markets, barber shops, cafes, and more! Take a tour with Elisa and you will have a wonderful time and conversation!

Personal Stories of Argentina and Grateful for this Fantastic Opportunity to spend with Elisa.
Elisa was a fabulous tour guide. I took 2 different tours with her. One was a solo tour on Tango and Architecture. Next one was in The Foot Steps of Dictators and Auschwitz of Argentina. Both my tours were very moving and life perception changing for me. She answered all my questions and the walking was very easy. Also DRIVER WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL. He did a great job shuttled us to different locations. The tours I feel are well organized and good price. Elisa also gave me recommendations on other sites to see & do while in Buenos Aires. Restaurant suggestions too. Also Thank you for your time and sharing such personal experiences that were very moving for me. English was excellent and your microphone was great in small group. Also I can say I would never of seen these locations without your Amazing tours. I will never forget you !!

Detailed insights into life under Dictatorship
Elisa is very knowledgeable in the history of some of the clandestine detention centers within the local neighborhood in Buenos Aires. The dehumanizing atrocities can be a heavy weight to think on, but necessary if we are to avoid this history repeating itself. She is very enjoyable to spend time with and you will come away with a better understanding of their tragic story and how they move forward from it.

    Footsteps of the Dictators
We did the In the Footsteps of the Dictators tour and found it incredibly informative! Elisa is very knowledgeable on Argentina’s history and gave us a strong overview of the different governments in Argentina, sprinkled with her own experience as a citizen. Really really wonderful experience - couldn’t recommend her enough! She caters the tours to your interests, and our three hours really felt like a Q&A!

    Well worth the money
Elisa will take give you a perspective you won’t find on conventional tours. From the highly entertaining barber whose shop is a virtual museum of the history of haircutting, to the striking church where the current pope was baptized. Local markets, elegant pastry shops, and a wealth of historical and cultural information make her tours well worth the price. Tom P, Montreal

    Truly a Jewel
My friend and I had already spent a few days in the city so I was curious about Jewels Off the Beaten Path. When Elisa started her walking tour with a bookstore in an old theater, El Ateneo, I knew this tour was for me. Additionally, she showed us many types of architecture used in the city. The Palace of Waters was breathtaking. If I hadn't done this walking tour with Elisa, I would have never appreciated the beauty and rich history of her city. She also answered my many questions. This tour is truly a jewel and I would highly recommend Elisa.

    Get to know Buenos Aires
2nd private tour with Elisa ... you have not seen Buenos Aires until you take one of her tours. Better value if you pay in $US. Recommend this tour over others she offers if you have seen the main walkable attractions in Buenos Aires and you would like a unique experience.

This tour was above our expectations
If you want to see unusual and very interesting sites, this tour with Elisa will not disappoint you. We were so impressed with the historic market, tango salon and the beautiful Church. The most jaw dropping was definitely the barbershop. That alone is totally worth your money. The bakery is a feast for the eyes not only in the architecture of the building but in the very creative and intricate pastries and chocolates. This tour is a MUST!

Elisa put together a fantastic custom tour of Buenos Aires for me. Pre-trip the e-mail communication was great and she answered all my questions. The tour itself was perfect and exactly what I was looking for. Elisa had loads of interesting information to share about the history, architecture and politics of the country. She also picked a beautiful cafe for a cup of coffee and a good lunch stop. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to really get to know the city of Buenos Aires.

The custom tours include city landmarks that deviate from the typical must-see tourist stops, so visitors have an authentic local experience. Travelers discover unique places that are not on the standard touristic circuit or included in any guidebook, the places that the locals enjoy every day. Thank you so much for the lovely review!

This was our second tour with Eliza we had a tour with her last year in2019. Once again she exceeded our expectations. Everything is very well planned and she is very accommodating so the tour is tailored to your needs. She has a lot of different places that are not mentioned in the guide books so you really get to know and understand the local neighbourhoods. I can fully recommend her service.

Elisa was the best tour guide you could hope for in Buenos Aires. Not only was she incredibly knowledgeable and informed, she was also able and willing to share her own personal experiences and the experiences of close family and friends in order to really illustrate the history of the neighborhoods and events she shared with us, in a way that made them feel personal and relevant. She was fun and energetic, and also sincere and open minded when we asked questions. The best part is that she went out of her way to plan a tour completely personalized to what we were interested. I can’t recommend Elisa enough.

If you want an original guided tour of Buenos Aires you are in for an unforgettable treat with Elisa. We visited sites which we would have never discovered on our own but more importantly the knowledge she brings to the tour is very impressive. She adapts her tour with what you want to know be it historical facts or architectural details and more. You can tell she is very passionate with what she does. This tour is one of many she offers and we did another one because she was so amazing.

The information she shared was just right and her enthusiasm for her work comes through. She is a delightful person to spend time with on top of her skills as a guide.

Amazing way to get to know BA. Elisa is knowledge and engaging, personal and warm. She tailored the tour to our interest and moved fluidly between topics - culture, history, arts and architecture. She is very organized - had a car to take us between stops, had historical photos with her that she used to deepens the experience. Third time here and we learned things about BA we never knew.

I was fortunate to find this guide! Elisa was very knowledgeable and passionate about Argentina. Before the trip, she made an effort to understand our interests and tailor the experience accordingly. She accommodated us in every way, even choosing the shady side of the street during the walk when possible to avoid the heat. The excursion included sites truly off the beaten path. The information she provided was not in my guidebook. I highly recommend this company and the wonderful guide!

Elisa is very knowledgeable of the architecture and history of this beautiful area. She welcomed any questions we had and showed us some interesting places. Unfortunately, not her fault, that some of the places she had hoped to share with us were closed because of the Easter holiday season. Still, it was a delightful and informative tour. I highly recommend this kind of tour to really get to know Buenos Aires, Argentina.
