We will see how Buenos Aires went from a small village to the huge cosmopolitan city, it is today. Walking around the city's oldest neighborhood, we ́ll bring back the tales from the Colonial days, fun facts, and the best stories. Do you know who Mafalda is? Have you heard about the narrowest house in Buenos Aires? . Aborigines of Argentina. . The apple of lights . Education in Argentina. . San Lorenzo Passage: Colonial Buenos Aires . The minimal house: Afro Argentines . Mafalda: popular icons. . Ex Eva Peron Foundation. . San Telmo Market. . The Ezeiza Mansion. . Lezama Park: foundation of Buenos Aires.

    Cemetery ridiculously expensive
This has to be the most expensive grave yard to visit in the world. Yes many of the graves are impressive but why is it so crazy expensive 18 USD/ person. The paths are very neglected holes and tripping hazards are everywhere. They are collecting a fortune but they spend nothing on the place. They do have functioning toilets but they are about the only things there that are not neglected. The recent huge price rise is certainly not justified. I assume the government takes all the money but gives nothing back. Shameful.

    Worth doing
The tour was cute. Fun little stories that made the cemetery more interesting . But it felt like it took forever to get organized and get started. We waited for people quite a while. We met by the huge tree out front. The guide wore a yellow shirt. Other people gave us that info, but it would have been nice if it was included on the email confirmation. We were surprised by the price to go into the cemetery. US $15/each. It’s worth it, as it is a really unique cemetery . We only covered a small portion of the cemetery in the tour. We wish we had gone early and wandered around ourselves to see before the tour started. Because the tour ends when the cemetery closes. Overall, worth it!

History told by a great storyteller
Our tour guide Jimena was incredible! We had an amazing time and learned so much, including some details about Evita we didn’t get from our visit to the Evita Museum. She was engaging, enthusiastic and very funny! Thanks for the great tour!

    Excellent tour
We booked the Recoleta cemetery tour via "Get your Guide" with BA Urban Walks. Our guide was Jimena. I can only praise the professionalism of her tour highly. Her style of presentation brought the history of the cemetery to life! She knew how to tell historical and human stories about the selected tombs so vividly that you were literally carried away. I definitely recommend visiting the famous Recoleta cemetery with a guided tour, because the beautiful tombs have a rich history, but someone has to convey it. Jimena did this so excellently that we will not forget this tour for a long time.

    Nice stories about this cemetery
Tour is offering a lot of stories about this cemetery and some history of Argentina. Will recommend take tours than self guided tour, which will definitely let the visit more joyful and informative. My tour guide she was very thorough about each highlight, even time passed a little more than 1.5 hour, I enjoyed the stories very much.
