About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Connector187071585160 contributionsAmazing Patagonia TripWe had a fabulous trip (2 1/2 weeks) to Patagonia (both Argentina and Chile), starting in Buenos Aires and ending in Santiago. Kieran understood what our goals were for the trip and planned an itinerary for us that met these goals. It was all inclusive, so we did not need to worry about any transportation on our own. All of the tour guides arranged by Kieran were superb, as well as the tours and events. It was true luxury all the way thru, with all arrangements meeting or exceeding our high expectations. Notable were the tango show and asado in Buenos Aires, the boat rides to see glaciers and the vineyard (Casa Real at Santa Rita) that we stayed in at the end of the trip to "relax". Kieran engaged local tour companies, as needed, which all provided excellent service. Most importantly, Kieran was always reachable via WhatsApp if we had any questions. Highly recommend Kieran and Experience Argentina.Written November 21, 2024
- Minervamuse0 contributionsLife Changing Trip in PatagoniaI had a life changing trip in Patagonia and felt very safe and well taken care of as a solo female traveler thanks to Kieran. After my first live conversation with Kieran, I had the sense I could trust him. I am glad I went with my gut. The accommodations and transfers were very nice. The tours were exceptional with amazing food and gracious guides. I highly recommend working with Kieran, and have referred him to several friends. If there was any improvement that could get made is when there are options between tours to have the tour selections be electronic with details in 1 view. One of the things that made me feel safe was that Kieran met me on the first day of my trip and walked me through the detailed itinerary. I think this was key to kicking off the vacation on a good note, meeting my trip planner in person. Thanks again Kieran! I will most definitely work with Experience Argentina again when I come back.Written April 5, 2024
- CaseyStengle0 contributionsExploring Patagonia - Chile and ArgentinaMy girlfriend and I reached out to "Experience Argentina" to discuss and build a dream trip thru Patagonia. We ended up spending two weeks hiking and exploring thru Chile and Argentina. Kieran Rooney set it up, tailored it to our goals and had everything handled from amazing hikes, glaciers, penguins and transportation every step of the way. He was always available to talk to if we had any questions and insured we had a great trip. He exceeded all my expectations and gets our full endorsement for anyone looking to do the same!Written February 27, 2024
- Pioneer8139350 contributionsAmazing hiking tripExperience Argentina created a custom tour for me in Patagonia. I was in Argentina and Chile. It was one of the first trips I planned with the main focus was hiking. They did a wonderful job of scheduling several days of hiking and then a day or two other activities. During the trip I came up with a couple of possible changes, they worked to try and make them happen.Written February 21, 2024
- 720annb0 contributionsFabulous ArgentinaKieran planned a wonderful holiday for us. From the time we arrived in Buenos Aires to the day we left Rio, everything ran so smoothly. Great hotels & fabulous tours. El Calafate was the highlight followed by Iguazu. Kieran booked some great restaurants also & was available 24/7 for any queries we had.Written November 12, 2023
- W9201RYchrisg0 contributionsDream vacation! My Buenos Aires vacation was fabulous. Kieran Rooney did a wonderful job, arranging a week of private tango lessons with excellent instructors, guided tours of museums and historic landmarks, and arranging lodging at a wonderful boutique hotel in Palermo Soho. I highly recommend booking your trip through Experience Argentina. All I had to do was pack my suitcase!Written September 28, 2023
- Journey8030020 contributionsTrip of a lifetimeWe had a great trip to Argentina and Chile. We were gone 17 days and were able to see so much in that time. Kieran did a great job arranging transportation, lodging and excursions. Everything went smoothly. Everyone we met were friendly and nice. I would highly recommend Kieran and his peopleWritten April 6, 2023
- Voyage_340 contributionsNorthern Argentina ExperienceThis was a great vacation and things went better than expected. We had to postpone this trip twice due to COVID restrictions in both the US and Argentina and it took us 2 years to finally get here from our original scheduled date. I was getting to the point where I just wanted to cancel the trip during that period. I'm sure glad we waited it out and finally made it. Everything was fantastic. Buenos Aires, Argentina We spent 3 nights in Buenos Aires which included 2 specialized/fun dining experiences, a tango show, and a private 1/2-day city tour. Transfers from the airport to the hotel were included along with the pick-up and return to the hotel for the tango show. The hotel was in the Palermo district and was near a lot of activities, restaurants, and bars. The hotel was very nice which included breakfast. It was an older boutique hotel with a lot of charm. The staff was friendly and did their best to speak in English to us. We made friends with a local cat that would visit us on our balcony every day. Iguazu Falls (Argentina/Brazil) We then flew up to Iguazu for an amazing 3 nights. Our hotel was in the rainforest and was extremely nice, clean, and very relaxing. Breakfast was included. The restaurant at the hotel was tops and we had lunch and dinner there during our stay. I highly recommend the hotel restaurant. If you want other dining options, you'll need a car or take a taxi into town, which we did one night. We went to the falls and spent a full day on the Argentinian side which included a boat ride under the falls. You will get soaked so be prepared, but it was so much fun. You get to see the falls from every angle on the Argentinean side and it was breathtaking. We also spent a 1/2 day on the Brazilian side one of the days. I personally think the view is better from the Brazilian side, but the Argentinian side gives you so many more viewing options. I recommend you see the falls from both sides since they are completely different and have amazing views. We had a private escort/tour guide the two days we went to the falls, and he was great. Iguazu is a must-see stop for your first trip to Argentina. Salta, Argentina We went from Iguazu to Salta for 5 nights. Our hotel was in the city center near some great restaurants. The hotel was older but very nice and clean. The staff was great and again they tried their best to speak to us in English. Salta is an area where knowing some Spanish would be helpful. This was the only part of the trip where we felt communication was a little difficult for us. Everyone was friendly and we were able to get by. Breakfast was included at the hotel, and it was a basic continental breakfast. All our activities were great, but again knowing some Spanish would have been better for us. I would still recommend Salta to anyone coming to Argentina. It's another region of the country so different from every other area we visited. It was very beautiful, and the people were so nice. Mendoza, Argentina Our last destination was Mendoza for 4 nights. Mendoza was super and all the activities we did were great. We did a wine tour one day which couldn't have been better. We spent a day horseback riding which included a BBQ after the ride with some of the best food we had in Argentina. This was probably one of our favorite activities we did. They really rolled out the red carpet for us and gave us some great memories. Our hotel in Mendoza was our favorite on our vacation. It was in a beautiful setting. We ate dinner at the hotel one of the nights and it was great. The staff was amazing, and it had everything we wanted. Experience Argentina Experience Argentina was great to work with and communicated with me multiple times throughout our vacation to make sure we had a great time. Right from the beginning, they helped us plan an amazing vacation. Communication was always easy either through emails and/or WhatsApp. Even with the trip getting postponed twice they were very flexible with us and made everything happen. All our drivers, activities, tour guides, and hotels were great, and everything went flawlessly. I highly recommend them to plan your vacation in Argentina. Best Moments from Trip We can’t say enough good things about the boat ride in Iguazu Falls which was one of the best memories that I think will come out of this vacation. They literally take you under one of the falls and everyone on the boat loved it, got soaked, and screamed in delight. We haven't laughed that hard in a long time and it was such a blast. The other thing that we loved was the horseback riding in Mendoza. It was so peaceful and beautiful. The horses and our guide were perfect and made for a great day. And the dinner they prepared for us was so excellent. They went above and beyond for this experience. These two activities set the bar for our future adventures, and we will base everything on them going forward. Finally, the food in Argentina is out of this world. I can’t say enough good things about the empanadas, meats, wines, and desserts we had for 17 days. We will eventually go back to Argentina and do the southern half of the country and I will be contacting Experience Argentina to help arrange that adventure for us. I highly recommend them as they delivered everything they promised.Written December 5, 2022
- 722natashak0 contributionsEvery detail was coveredThis was our first international trip since the pandemic began, and Kieran provided us a flawless trip. We found him through Zicasso, and were able to create a custom itinerary (2 nights in Rio, 1 day of travel to Iguazu, 5 nights in Iguazu (with a photo guide for 4 full days), 1 day of travel back to Rio, and 1 more day of Rio touring). He kept in contact with us throughout the trip to make sure we had all of our needs met. But, he had nothing to worry about. He had thought of everything. From the transfers to/from the airports, to the fantastic guides, hotels, and tours. It was a stress-free trip, and truly a fantastic experience!Written October 29, 2022
- MeghanSAguilar0 contributionsHoneymoon success!Absolutely spectacular service and trip from the moment I met Kieran Rooney and worked with Experience Argentina. He was friendly, and interested in meeting (and exceeding!) expectations for our honeymoon. He was super flexible when we threw at him some changes such as preferring a different hotel based on a personal recommendation and such as getting tickets to a game right before the trip - which involved swapping other plans for an alternative evening on short notice. We also liked that he left the last day of the trip open so we could do whatever we wanted but ended it with a nice dinner. Kieran was attentive to details and partnered with others who shared that trait — our drivers were always courteous, prompt and pleasant. I would book with Kieran and Experience Argentina again, many times over!Written August 17, 2022
- davidvX7980TP0 contributionsA Trip to Treasure-Argentina-PatagoniaOur first trip to Argentina and what a trip it was. We were fortunate to find Experience Argentina tours with Kieran. He was extremely responsive and prompt with every request we had. He build us a custom trip that expanded 21 days. What made this trip so special was we had so many unique activities included. Bueno Aires- city tours, a fabulous beef dining experience, cooking class and tango show. Iguazú- seeing both Argentina and Brazil falls with wonderful accommodations- felt like being in Jurassic Park movie. Then off to Ushuaia- from penguin tours, off roading to incredible seafood what a place. On to El calafate for glacier tours, visit a ranch estancia and tremendous beef dining. Then hiking in El Chaten and then on to Bariloche to visit falls, boat tours and kayaking. Kieran checked in every step of the way and handled everything perfectly. A trip to treasure. Highly,Hightly recommend is expertise even during these COVID times.Written January 26, 2022
- L9956EDpaulr0 contributionsgreat trip to ArgentinaIn early October, only a month before our planned departure date, we became interested in a trip to Argentina. Kieran expertly organized a customized 15 day tour to include Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, El Calafate, El Chalten, and Iguazu, and helped us navigate the complexities of travelling so soon after border re-opening. He spoke with us by telephone in the weeks preceding the trip and was responsive answering our questions by email. Upon arrival in Buenos Aires, he met us at the airport and drove us to our hotel. At the end of our trip, Kieran met us at the airport for a debriefing. During our time in Argentina, he was available by text or phone. It was comforting knowing that we had a bilingual touchpoint in Argentina. The hotel selections were excellent. The excursions were a lot of fun. The transfers and domestic flights went off without a hitch. Overall, a great trip to Argentina!Written November 20, 2021
- CC09130 contributionsFavorite vacation yet!We did a 12 day customized trip in 2018. Found this company through Zicasso, Kieran was great arranging it all and communication was easy. Our trip started in Buenos Aires where we did a cooking class at the Argentine Experience and took a tango lesson. Our dance instructors took us out to a milongo afterwards and we ended up staying out until 2am. It was great! We felt completely immersed in the culture. We then flew to Iguazu and toured the jungle, got blasted by the falls in a boat ride and saw all the incredible creatures that live there. Our last 5 days were spent hiking in Patagonia where we trekked the Perito Moreno Glacier, visited a ranch, and then drove to El Chalten for the final days. All of our transportation was provided, all internal flights booked by Kieran, and everything was just wonderful. To this day, it’s one of my favorite vacations!Written August 23, 2020
- Radio9phs0 contributionsCustomized 15 day Introduction to Argentina TourI had initially submitted a request for tour information through Zicasso, which I think is an umbrella organization for tour operators. Kieran Rooney, who runs Experience Argentina soon called me and we discussed what we wanted to see and do. He had several suggestions on tours and excursions. We finally settled on a trip spending about 3 days in Buenos Aires, 2 each in Ushuaia, El Calafate, El Chaltén, and one in Puerti Iguazú. Argentina is a big country, so there were near full days of travel mixed in between towns. Kieran does a great job of arranging a relatively stress free holiday. He arranges in country air travel, transfers, hotels, guides, and excursions. We had never really taken a trip as long as two weeks before. We wish we had allowed at least three weeks, there is so much to see and experience. Sure, you can try to put together a trip on your own, but there is something to be said for the peace of mind in knowing that the details are taken care of and arrangements have been vetted by people with experience.Written March 11, 2020
- Scenic5183430 contributionsArgentina/Iguazu/PatagoniaMy wife and wanted a trip through Argentina. We found Kieran Rooney (Experience Argentina) through Zicasso. He responded immediately to our request with a professional itinerary and tailored it exactly to our desires. We travelled from Buenos Aires, to Iguazu. Ushuaia, El Calafate and El Chalten. Everything went exactly as planned. We were met at the airport and brought to our hotels which were lovely and well located. The day trips were punctual and the guides were excellent. They were informative, charming and attentive to our personal needs. We saw penguins, saw beautiful scenery and ate well. It was a fantastic trip and we are grateful to Kieran for making it so. Would definitely recommend him.Written March 1, 2020

Kieran put together an amazing trip for us. Everyday was a new adventure from first time playing polo to learning the tango at an authentic Milonga. A hands on cooking lesson was another highlight and our empanadas were muy bueno. What can be bad about riding horses in Patagonia with the great Andes mountains in the background. If you do Argentina experience it with this company with the expert help of Kieran Rooney.
