Beautiful, Relaxing and Unusual River Excursion

The two hour cruise down the converging rivers takes you out of time and place. The scenery is beautiful, and when you arrive at the river "neighborhoods"--accessible only be boat, you see a mixture of house sizes and styles, one after the other. On an early summer Sunday, many of the houses were in use with families and friends taking part in all kinds of water sports at the river's edge. Our wonderful guide, Sandra, pointed out that these homes are accessible only by water, and food/goods shopping, medical assistance and all other services were delivered on a regular or as needed basis by floating stores. Once in the port of Tigre, the beachside resort atmosphere was happy. An amusement park, restaurants and huge bustling outdoor markets sold everything you could want. One of the best excursions of our trip. We would love to return and spend time there.

Excellent experience with great tour operator

Patrick contacted me very soon after booking the tour to confirm time and location of the pickup at our hotel. He was right on time and very welcoming. On our way out of town we stopped at several sights along the way, with Patrick providing a lot of information and history. He provided a large bottle of cold water for us and his driving was always safe. After leaving the city proper, he showed us some sites in San Isidro, then we made our way to Tigre. He got our reservations for the boat tour then we had time to explore all of the shops and offerings in this busy little port. The boat tour up the river was great, lots to see, and Patrick provided more details than the boat operator. Back at Tigre, we then made our way direct to our hotel. It was a really great day, and Patrick made it that way.
